We have had an extremely frustrating experience with Dell Refurbished Orders. We attempted to purchase the same laptop five separate times, and each order was canceled.

Initially, the issue was explained as a mismatch between the billing address on the credit card and the shipping address, as we were shipping to our warehouse. That was understandable. However, after calling in, we were assured the issue had been resolved.

Despite that, two additional orders were canceled with no explanation whatsoever. It appears their system is heavily automated, and there is little to no follow up or transparency when something goes wrong.

We have historically used Dell products and have had positive experiences in the past, which makes this situation even more disappointing. Unfortunately, this experience has changed our perception.

To make matters worse, when I raised concerns about potentially taking our business elsewhere, I was met with what came across as a sarcastic response from customer service. When I addressed it, the situation escalated unnecessarily, and I was accused of making fun of the representative’s accent, which was completely untrue. Pointing out sarcasm is not the same as being disrespectful. It was simply a reaction to poor customer service.

Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The lack of communication, repeated order cancellations, and unprofessional customer support make it difficult to recommend Dell Refurbished Orders.

Having previously worked with refurbished and second-life IT equipment, I am familiar with the standards refurbished hardware should meet. Unfortunately, this experience with Dell Refurbished fell well short of those expectations.

The laptop I received arrived scratched and marked in several places despite being advertised as Grade A, contained a 1TB SSD instead of the advertised 2TB, had a faulty trackpad, and became extremely hot within minutes of being powered on with the fans running constantly.

Returning it was also unnecessarily difficult. A collection was arranged on a day I could not accommodate despite selecting drop-off, and the return label initially failed to scan twice at the drop-off location before eventually working after reprinting with specific instructions.

Overall, this was a very poor experience when buying directly from Dell. Refurbished equipment should still be accurately described, properly tested, and straightforward to return if faulty.

I was pleased with the promotion that gave me 40% off, the device looked new and worked well, with updates from Dell support assist. I had problems extending the warranty as Dell told me that it was registered in Poland and I had to complete a transfer of ownership form . During Dells BIOS updates it crashed, Dells support helped me with cold resets but to no avail, I was then redirected to Dell Refurbished as I had a 6 month warranty, Dell support suspected a replacement motherboard was needed, but Dell Refurbished did not provide repair or replacement and promptly refunded me.

Several issues on day one, sent for repair, they fixed something and put in a defective replacement screen, then sent back out and finally able to use it? No. Battery severely degraded (not like 10-20%, but 70%). My daughter can't really use it at school unless in a room w/an outlet. They said the battery is consumable, so no coverage. Insane! And after all this shipping back and forth and spending ~4.5 hours on this, I'm done with Dell after ~3 decades as a customer!

Pretty sure this is a bait and switch site. I ordered a laptop that was supposed to have touchscreen. Also, i assumed wifi (my mistake). But there is no one at Dell that knows what im talking about and there is no answer or response from Dell Refurbished. Going to need to dispute with my Credit Card.
