Customer Service Issue
My daughter fell in love with a dress at their store. Went to order it, it had been discontinued for a while. Silverlining she found one she loved even more at another location. Bridesmaids dresses-I asked them to confirm they came in the colors my daughter wanted, they assured me they could be ordered in Slate, a few weeks later I was notified they could not be ordered in the color requested. We found them elsewhere. Three wine dresses we wanted from there could not be rushed like the wedding gown from a different location. We decided to cancel the order since the order had not yet been placed. The dress issues were not the biggest problem we had with this store.
Because my daughter and her fiancé had changed the date of the wedding we wanted to do what was right by the girls that had paid for the wine dresses and use the store credit for flower girl dresses. We gave the girls their cash back and we had them sign over store credit to me ( I had all documentation per the employee request to make this my store credit). I was looking through flower girl dresses when I was informed the owner had pushed through the original canceled order. I told them that was very upsetting and they did not have the permission to do that considering they had the cancelation of the order in writing. As I left to buy flower girl dresses elsewhere...I questioned the legality of their actions. 30-40 mins later as I am paying for dresses at a different location. I get a call letting me know that was the wrong thing to do and they were going to re-issue the credit they had just revoked. I explained that I no longer felt safe with that option considering they had just revoked my previous store credit.
Fast forward to Friday 3-23-2018...I returned to the store where I was informed they were unwilling to budge. They will give me the original canceled order or the store credit they have already revoked and re-Issued. I explained again that I do not feel safe agreeing to a store credit considering this past Tuesday. I would feel safe with a cash refund considering cash can not be revoked.
