We have recently had our new kitchen…
We have recently had our new kitchen designed and fitted by Direct Kitchens Sheffield. The process was very smooth, from visiting the showroom, designing the kitchen layout, measuring and installation.
Paul & James the two install guys were great from start to finish nothing was too much trouble for them.
Cant praise these guys and their team enough, i felt they went above and beyond.
Just what we needed, happy days. :)

From entering the showroom to the finished kitchen it has been a very straight forward project. Many thanks to Tom an excellent fitter and to Russ and Joel who were excellent too. The kitchen looks brilliant so many thanks to you all.

Well informed of products, and the service was very good.
Had a few kitchens off Direct Kitchens and have never been disappointed.
The fitters I had was extremely good, therefore I always ask for them by name.

First class service throughput
First class service throughput. Direct Kitchens did what they agreed to do!
All agreed timescales for the supply and installation of the kitchen were adhered to. All tradespeople arrived on time and carried out works to a high standard
The quality of the kitchen units and appliances are to the standard we expected.
Both fitters, Matt and Jack were professional and friendly, ensuring that the fitting of our kitchen was completed to our exact requirements.
We would not hesitate to use Direct Kitchens again and would recommend to family and friends.

We had replacement doors and drawer…
We had replacement doors and drawer fronts fitted to replace items that had bubbled. The fitter, Nick, dealt with the task very well and worked non-stop throughout the day. Left the kitchen and driveway clear od debris and removed all the replaced doors.

Just had Direct Kitchen’s to supply and…
Just had Direct Kitchen’s to supply and install £11000 and what a nightmare this has been and still ongoing issues it’s resulted in my wife being physically sick and brought to tears with the shocking workmanship and left feeling very let down and ripped off
My advice is to buy your fitted kitchen from elsewhere because this company isn’t fit for purpose

Efficient and competitively priced…
We are very happy with the installation of our new kitchen by Direct Kitchens. The process was efficient from the time we placed our order up to when the fitters left. The costing was explained in full with no surprise hidden extras and the price was very competitive. Karl listened to our wishes and advised us accordingly. The fitters were polite, helpful, clean and efficient, even when they had to finish working in the snow. We would not hesitate to recommend Direct Kitchens to anyone wanting to upgrade their kitchen.

Unbelievable achievement from Carl and the team at Direct Kitchens, a complete overhaul from electrics and building work to the fitters completing, a first class, worry free experience Paul and James were brilliant throughout the fit and have done wonders, can’t thank Direct Kitchens enough for putting a smile back on mums face a truly great experience from the start.

Completed in 3 and half days
Completed in 3 and half days, perfect. Although some of the top cupboards did not fit ,the problem was resolved quickly and looked perfect.The fitters kept us involved , asking our opinion. We had the advantage of having an attached garage for tools, cutting and storage of new units.Fitters John and Tom were brilliant. A good experience all round, from the visit to the showroom, the design and completion. Very well done.

Waste of our time
Got measurements in and went to our appointment where Carl only gave us 10 mins of his time before rushing off to another appointment. Instead he told us to write our changes on a piece of paper and he will get back to us. Appointments should last one hour as told by the staff working there. Waste of petrol and our time.
Your reply holds some truth but not all. You are mainly emphasising on the fact I was very late but let’s start with the fact that an appointment was made for measurements and no one turned up. When I rang the staff were really apologetic and it had to be rescheduled. I accepted the apology and moved on. When he did come for measurements in conversation I found out you also did bedrooms. I asked if he had time to take measurements and he happily agreed to do it all in one appointment.
I arrived late yes but not 20 mins. It was my first time going to that end of the city and with kids it’s never easy so a small delay is possible. Nevertheless I apologised but at least it wasn’t a no show like the above. If you weren’t happy with me being late then you should have stated this at the time but I had another 45-50 mins remaining so another appointment shouldn’t have collided. The other customer didn’t have a showroom appointment so you can’t say they turned up on time because I was present in the showroom even beyond my one hour time slot. Anyways I was given the printed plans and all the costing were given to me in a rush within 10 mins I would say.
Your third paragraph holds no truth. I appreciate the team took time to do our designs but I did not say they were incorrect and neither was I sent away to go and decide what I want. I knew what I wanted and simply expressed to focus on the kitchen first as that was a priority to get done. Firstly with having it on the opposite side to which it was designed (This was mentioned in my initial appointment when they came for measurements and so not my fault it was done on the incorrect side) and secondly adding in the table to the island as it was my first time seeing this in the showroom. Please note no design is ever perfect in the first instance and it takes the company and the customer to work together on it to get the plans to perfection. What you did suggest was write what we want i.e the table on the island on a piece of paper as he was in a rush to go and so I agreed to do so with the lady in the showroom being very helpful. However regardless of the above I have been ringing up nearly every week asking for an update on my project and quotation where the kind ladies have been apologetic and said Carl will call me back because he has my file. Till date this has not happened. This is sad and poor customer service because I genuinely did like your kitchens and bedrooms just a shame we weren’t dealt with fairly after reading everyone’s else’s reviews. Kindly note everyone’s experience is different and I have expressed how I have been dealt with.

A professional and pleasant experience
The installation of our wardrobes, from enquiry through to measuring and installation was straightforward and easy. All our contact with the company's staff was pleasant and friendly.
I was recommended to use Direct Kitchens by a friend, and I would have no hesitations in recommending them myself!

Poor experience overall, cannot recommend (kitchen fitted October - November 22)
Although Direct Kitchens were recommended to us and we have seen their work elsewhere, our experience was poor at best. The consultation with the manager Carl was straight forward and a date set for works to start early October 22. When the time came the Direct Kitchens builders set to work. I cannot fault their work ethic and they worked tirelessly for seven days straight to prepare for the kitchen fitters the following week. The only criticism I have of the builders is the quality of finish with the plastering, bumps and trowel marks all over. Our real issues started when the kitchen fitters arrived. We were recommended three particular fitters by a friend but didn't get any of them. The first contact I had with our fitter resulted in him telling me he had 20 years of experience fitting kitchens, great I thought, he then proceeded to tell me that he thought our waste/soil pipe was a bit 'iffy'. Iffy in that he thought it might have leaked or had been leaking at some point. Instead of stopping and investigating further he had already built a carcass around the pipe and said that he had applied some silicone, hoping it would hold, if indeed it was leaking. I then observed the fitters at work and to say they were in a rush, without a care in the world, was an understatement. They were literally throwing things up, dragging appliances across the floor (still full of nails and staples) and not cleaning up as they worked. When they finished that first day I spent over an hour cleaning up the mess they had created during the day, having made no attempt to tidy as they worked. The next two days were the same, working as quickly as they could, no care or attention to detail and mess everywhere, it was a living nightmare. The end result is that every appliance is/was damaged in someway, cupboard doors and units are not straight and carcasses are scratched/marked quite badly in places. To be honest, I was glad to see the back of our fitters so that we could look forward to new worktops and flooring, as well as rectifying all the snags with a different fitter. This was not the end of our problems. The worktop people arrived to make a template for quartz worktops only to leave 15 minutes later. The reason? The kitchen fitter, with 20 years experience, had not left any room for overhang in one corner of the kitchen, meaning they had to return and move back an entire row of units by 20mm! A week later a template was completed and the worktops subsequently fitted. No complaints whatsoever regards the worktop people, Artisan Stone of Sheffield were professional throughout and did a cracking job.
Back to the snagging, our Combi microwave oven was scratched (by the fitters I believe), a replacement was ordered and fitted but the replacement had a wonky handle. A second replacement was ordered but the incorrect model was fitted. A third was ordered but it also had a wonky handle. This was was replaced again and, unbelievably, the original, scratched appliance was refitted. As embarrassing as this was for Direct Kitchens the solution was to offer an upgrade to both oven and Combi microwave to a different brand. These were fitted and are fine. As well as the microwave saga, the integral fridge/freezer was damaged. I had reason to remove the cupboard doors from the appliance, the fitters had left the cellophane wrap in place and it was unsightly at the edges, when I did I noticed that both the fridge and freezer doors were scratched across their entire width and both were dented from the cupboard door hinges. Granted, the damage cannot be seen when the cupboard doors are attached but it was a new appliance none the less and clearly damaged by the fitters. The cost of the appliance has been refunded, the least that could be done, short of replacing the fridge/freezer. There were plenty of other issues, unsightly glue marks, the extractor fan flap in the wall sticking open, cupboard doors not cut straight and out of line, cupboards and draws out of line, marks and scratches on appliances, I could go on.
Having no luck whatsoever we also have issue with our flooring that was fitted by Direct Kitchens in-house flooring specialists. We opted for luxury vinyl tiles but the tiles are noisy and unstable and already scratched all over. We are awaiting a resolution to this.
At no point has the manager made any personal contact with us or visited to inspect the work for himself. There was pressure from the company to pay the balance before the work was completed and there has not been any kind of sign off. On a plus note the members of staff we have spoken with have been apologetic and polite and we have been refunded half of the fitters fee (we had to ask, it was not offered).
Based on our experience we cannot recommend Direct Kitchens, some will, but I think you take your chances with this company.

We used direct kitchens 20 years ago to…
We used direct kitchens 20 years ago to fit our first kitchen, they did not disappoint us then so we went back and once again we have no regrets, fantastic service from the start. All the team have been amazing but a mention for Paul and his mate James for a brilliant nothing too much trouble and attention to detail approach to his work, very pleased with our new kitchen, highly recommended.

Very good quality kitchen which looks modern and professional for a reasonable price. Good customer service and provided good advice throughout the design process. Liased with the kitchen fitters and other tradesman to make the installation process very simple.

Professional job at a great price.new wardrobes with sliding doors installed in master bedroom .so much better use of space.also we had a new stud wall built in previous bedroom.both the builder roger and fitter Chris did a fantastic job . Very pleased with the results
