Very easy going and make it extremely simple in what you have to do

Was a seamless process working with security watchdog on my pre-employment checks. Everything was done online on an easy to use portal. Received updates through email and SMS during the process. If more documents were needed, they gave easy and thorough instructions on what I needed to provide and how to do it. Everything was done in a timely manner and customer service was absolutely amazing! No issues at all!

Applying for a simple low-wage job. The initial process took an hour to do (despite website claiming it can be done in under 20 minutes on a phone), and the next working day they were squawking for a reply ASAP. 2 weeks later and they are now demanding P45, bank slips, contracts, University Certificate from 5 years ago. Glad I didn't put on small part-time jobs that didn't even give me that documentation.

They are treating the process like MI5. Nobody keeps documentation this long, and thank god they allow bank statements. My start date is being pushed back, all the time. I am unemployed and my bank is being drained by bills. They expect replies instantly and take weeks to respond. This is insane.

LIAM was FABULOUSLY sweet, and kind and patient! He waited with me in the phone to see if my document worked out. He's the 3rd person Ive had the pleasure of speaking to since the first time I called Security Watchdog and spoke to Fiona. I think this company has hired lovely human beings.THANK YOU SO MUCH, LIAM!! I hope they know how great you are too!

Security Watchdog is quick and reliable. The emails I've been sent have always been updates and kind emails to send over some more information.

This organisation which is under the umbrella brand of Capita will actually make you do all the work for them. ID checks via apps, social names, health, credit ref, dbs. Excessive intrusive sections on referencing history. Worst of all they will contact your old employer and even if it is the holiday season give them less than 48hr to respond. You receive multiple calls and emails of reminders and final last warning reminders, when you respond back to them you hear nothing at all. They will also then go ahead and ask you for up to 5 years of bank statements and payslips plus P45/P60 from your current and previous employers showing your first job start date. Even working for government regulatory agencies don’t require these details and who has these from years and years ago. SW is a ludicrous, intrusive referncing organisation. Plus if employers don’t respond to them in their deadline - 48hr. They will request more information - this is organisation is holding and processing more information and data than an EU country passport application. I would definitely avoid any company that uses SW or capita for referencing in the future.

The experience with Security Watchdog was clear and straightforward and I completed the process easily.

Where there have been difficulties/ lack of clarity is with messages from DBS saying there is a message for me on my DBS Portal Account, when according to Security Watchdog I don't have a DBS Portal Account!

I have been told do ignore it. Seems like a plan.

What an utter disgrace. Companies must refrain from using Security Watchdog - Quick enough to request a high amount of documents within crunch time but will not answer the phone or respond to any queries you have to them. Basically you put all the hard work in to get a job and these are the people that ruin it for you. There's security and then there's acting as if you work for MI5, and these definitely think they do something more than referencing with their cold and unresponsive demeanour. I will purposely turn a job down if I have any incline that they use security watch dog, as I don't need the stress of them on top of a new job. Should go bust and praying for their down fall. Incompetent.
