This game become absolutely trash. It's not about playing anymore, but paying. Everything now is about money. Everything new item is available via shop. So instead of playing to become better, you just paying. If you think to play an MMORPG avoid this, it's waste of time and money.

Golden game from the past, however has been ruined by terrible developers, egotistical "community heroes", power hungry moderators/admins and more.

As a "DSO" player of 12 years, "Play" this if you want to lose taste of good games and make a credit card debt as it is more p2w then Diablo Immortal and can confirm quite comfortably - they made over few years the worst ARPG in existence with terrible management, ego hungry personalities and pure ignorance.

p2w game, absolute disappointment in 2026, don't waste your time, I've been playing since 2012, and the game has become completely boring and unplayable due to the number of bugs and errors, and some of the developers' decisions only raise questions.

The game has become extremely pay to win. Almost every new addition revolves around monetization rather than improving the actual gameplay. The developers repeatedly claim they will fix certain issues, but those fixes never happen or suddenly they say it’s no longer a priority. On top of that, the technical state of the game is poor. There are many bugs that remain unresolved, yet instead of addressing them, more pay-to-win features keep being introduced. I honestly cannot recommend spending your time or money on this game.

Worst team dso ever had,the last 5 years no actual changes happened not actual promises that were promised happened. I suggest you not to play this game if u are new, find another one

After the game got sold to tencent ig? we got sooo many updates like: no new events, no updates, no new maps, p2w update and many more like no useful resources from events like smugglers <3 Just let it die. I give it like 2-3 more months and we are finally free

I don't know how to feel about this one but then it was an actual game it had game mechanics it had content it wasn't so much for crash grab actually gameplay and it felt nice and enjoyable now it just Spam clicks there is no actual skills to play the game just about one click the team tries to make out your money slowly everything becomes under payroll ready to move grind from players and make it even worse they ask impossible task sometimes it's so buggy un enjoyable and doesn't even worth to be in let's play bad game content because this shit isn't even a game anymore

Die Devs sind absolut unfähig. Die vom chinesischen Dev Team erstellten Events sind absolut undurchdacht und basieren nur darauf, dass man Andermant aus dem Fenster schmeißt ohne Ende.

The game was sold to a chinese company in 2020. After that, we have seen no progress and the quality of their updates are much worse than those from 2014. Fake promises, inconsistent communication with the players and more. All we've seen is their greedy behaviour by scamming players with in-game purchases every single update. It is truly a shame to see an amazing game like Drakensang Online go down like this.

General Gameplay Feedback – Too Much Daily Repetition

Right now, the game demands too much daily time just to keep up.

Between daily quests, challenges, mercenaries, battle pass tasks, farming infernal passes, and boss runs, it easily takes 3–4+ hours per day before you can even play freely.

This doesn’t feel like progression — it feels like maintenance.

Players with limited time (1–2 hours a day) can’t realistically keep up. We spend all our time doing repetitive chores instead of actually enjoying the game.

And when events appear, we are forced to abandon all daily content just to focus on the event grind, or we fall behind. It creates constant pressure instead of fun.

A game should reward time spent, not demand excessive time just to stay relevant.

Daily systems should be quick. The battle pass should be easy to finish. Grinding should be optional, not mandatory.

Right now the experience feels closer to a second job than a game, and that’s not healthy for player retention.

Used to love the game many years ago.

I came back and i see a game in decline, ready to be put in the ground.
Whats the point of asking players feedback, if devs only listen to their self, and not to the consumer/customer.

Clearly someone does not know how to run a business, let stand a game.

Shit game, expensive useless sets, only pay to win. Mods/admins and everyone from the team doesnt care what we want. TRASH P2w, only lies

This game has turned into a credit-card transaction simulator. At this point, most new content feels heavily pay-to-win, and the only realistic way to obtain update items is to grind the same two activities for weeks or months — both are repetitive, boring, and heavily nerfed.

The biggest problem is Q5 + BC.

Q5: It’s basically the only source of IPS (one of the two most essential resources). Getting 5 IPS per run is ridiculous when the map entry costs 10. Meanwhile, someone can just pay ~€30 and get the same result instantly.

BC: It’s basically the only source of Andermant (the second essential resource). But BC is boring, laggy, and Andermant is also directly purchasable with real money.

Current “economy” looks like this:

1 Q5 run = 5 IPS

1 BC run costs 10 IPS

1 BC run = ~200 Andermant

And then every event demands 800,000–1,300,000 Andermant, unless you pay real money.

In short: this is a BC/Q5 simulator, not a game
