I’m really grateful I answered the call to attend Durga’s Tiger School. The experience pushed me out of my comfort zone in the best way and helped me reconnect with parts of myself I hadn’t slowed down enough to listen to in a long time.

There was something really powerful about the energy, the teachings, and the people brought together through this training. I left feeling more grounded, more open, and with a deeper understanding of myself and the way I move through life.

To me, Durga's school is a peaceful space surrounded by beauty. The coordinators truly embody what they teach.
I completed the 200-hour training here and learned so much about myself, my patterns, and my inner strength. It was life-changing, and hope to return for the the 300-hour training.

If you’re looking for peace, growth, and true self-connection, this is the place.

For me, this program was hard as F in the sense that it brought me to the edge of all of my fears and invited me to relax and trust. It isn't run like any training program, retreat, or really anything that I've been exposed to. It is exceptionally experiential and dynamic. I felt held by the staff, connected with my fellow teacher trainees and inspired by the environment and the offerings. This having been said, I like weird -ish. Not everyone does. I prioritize and value deep intimacy. My aim in life is to be free in this body and to trust in the support of inherent interconnectivity. Also, I went into the program already certified to teach. The school's teachings support remembering and empowering who we are, and living and loving from this place. If you are looking for definitive right answers, formulas and/or an Americanized resort, this may not be your jam. I came to Durga’s wanting clarity... to be shown where avidyā lurks unbeknownst to me. Durga’s Tiger School more than “delivered”… and I showed up for it. Mir hat die Durga‘s Tiger School den Horizont erweitert und mein Herz geöffnet. Für mich eine neue Erfahrung, die mich nachhaltig darin bestärkt hat, diesen/meinen neuen Weg zu intensivieren. Iris hat mich von der ersten Sekunde direkt abgeholt und ich bin unendlich dankbar, dass ich das erleben durfte. Dankbarkeit durchflutet mich. 🙏

Die Zeit auf eurem Festival verging wie im Flug. Sie hat mich sehr beseelt und auf angenehme Weise mit meinen inneren Widerständen in Kontakt gebracht - bei den vielen Selbsterfahrungen.
Euer Programm war so vielfältig, dass es mir schwer fiel, mich für eine Veranstaltung zu entscheiden.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und mit jeder Person ließ sich einfach in Gespräch kommen.

Die Lieder Aguila Aguilé und Shakti Ye klingen in mir als Ohrwürmer. Eine schöne Erinnerung an diese entspannte Auszeit vom Alltag.

I had a beautiful experience at this school. It is the only yoga program of its kind, not only teaching the kaula tantra series with rigor but also drawing on theater, arts, shamanism, and tantric philosophy. My time here completely transcended all expectations. Through practice, I learned so much about the healing power of ritual and deepened my connection with nature and humanity. This school also hands-down attracts the coolest people, inspiring travelers with so much wisdom to share. The location is amazing, with all of Quito just a short drive away and gorgeous mountains in the vicinity. I am deeply grateful for my time at Durga's and would recommend the experience to everyone interested!

Durgas Tiger school was a life changing experience for me. I came originally for 200 hour certification and stayed for 500 hours. I was transformed. My mind, body & soul began to heal. Every class was incredible. The teachers are amazing and dedicate their lives to our growth & healing. I laughed, cried & grew. After 9 weeks at the school, I am saddened to leave. I will go out into the real world and apply these amazing skills. I forever changed by Durgas Tiger school and I have fallen madly in love with Tantra.....I have also fallen madly in love with myself. I cannot say enough great things about this school or its staff. I am grateful that they took me under their wing and taught me a better way to live. I will forever be thankful.

More than just a yoga course.
I completed a 200 hr YTT in April. The best part was the cohort I met at the school.

If you're simply looking for a YTT or a traditional style course, this isn't for you. If you're looking for something that will take you deeply into yourself to transform, this might be for you. I did absolutely love the intuitive approach the school takes. If I was starting over, I would take this course again, but there are caveats.

A big draw of this course is the offering of a power plant ceremony. You CAN NOT participate if you are menstruating. This is not something they make known until a week or so before hand. Although I understand respect for traditional "taboos" (as I was told) some taboos are outdated. I have a hard time understanding how the school prides itself on taking a new age approach, combing shamanism, traditional tantra, play, and dance, yet is unwilling to waiver on their stance of menstruating women in ceremony.

There is also need for more emotional support. We were told that the energy design is meant to take us deeply into our shadows. To have some triggering aspects. To contain some deep and dark work. This is great, lets dive into it and make it through to the other side. However, they either need to add a support person to the staff. The instructors are busy and quite frankly, not qualified, to hold the space that's necessary when doing the work that arises here. I received more help from my classmates to reground after being triggered than from the school. Which props to them, but it's not their job to provide energy work while they're also paying for this experience.

The meals were lacking and the school wasn't competent in correcting arrangements with the meal provider they had hired.

Over the month, we had one class with Iris, we all had wished for more. It would be lovely if it were possible for her to spend more time with the students and leading classes.

Caro is an instructor and is the SAVING GRACE of the school. Her classes were the most impactful in the course. I really hope the school takes Caro's voice seriously as her ability to connect and lead was outstanding.

Wind is one of the instructors and the owners son. He has a plethora of knowledge and he guides a beautiful class. The only thing is it doesn't feel like he actively listens when you're talking with him.

I just finished 500h Teacher Training at Durga's Tiger School, and this have been one of the most transformational journey of my life.

I highly recommand this yoga & arts school that is actually more a holistic school.
I received my 200 hours YTT there, the place is beautiful, we had awesome meals everyday, people from all around the world, and magic teachers. Kaula Tantra yoga is a wonderful invitation to balance our yin and yang energies, in our body, and in our life. Ecuador is also a beautiful country to visit. Don't miss it.

One of the most profound experiences of my life. Not only you learn to become a Yoga Teacher, but also it's a natural progression of connecting deeply with the essence of who you turly are. The whole experience was deeply healing, fun and transforming. It will stay in my heart forever...

An incredible experience, where you learn and experiment not only yoga, shamanism or arts but also so much about yourself! It is a beautiful place with wonderful people and teachers sharing love and knowledge!

Wow, Durgas takes it to the next level. They incorporate asanas, however, they offer classes in which we were able to explore our individual creativity. Shamanism is also part of the program. Here we learned about the roots of many teachings we hear about.

All in all, this school offers a fantastic program located in a nurturing environment!

Great experience! Durga Tiger School has a wonderful teachers' team with great individual knowledge and when teachers come together, the influence is even more important. Life changing experience with lots of practical material to go home and be a really grounded Kaula Tantra Yoga Teacher. Forget the books, the mind, start feeling, living, being, doing ... Great food also. Will go back next year to continue the journey, as this journey is never finished... Thank you Durga Tiger School and students along the road.

Incredible place beyond all expectations. All the teachers are full of love and really cares about you, classes are interessting and diverse with a focus on experience and practise. Food is delicious and nutritious, and the place itself is just beautiful. All I can say is please go there, feel the peaceful energy and deep transformation yourself. Warmly recommended. My time at Durga's Tiger School was one of the most profound experiences of my life! I wanted to do a yoga teacher training because I do want to teach yoga, but really I was looking for something more. I wanted something that was going to help me grow as a person, help me understand myself more clearly, and step I to the being that I know I am inside. This, and so much more is what I found at Durga'sTiger Scho. The choreography of the course is perfectly woven, each experience building on the next. The integration of Tantra, Art, Dance, Meditation, and Shaminism open up the heart and soul, while providing g you with tools to move forward. I had never done the Kaula Tantra Yoga series before, and I ended up really loving the practice. It's very meditative, and while it can be challenging at times, it teaches you that all movement should first come from relaxation. I highly recommend this program to anyone who wants to teach yoga, and learn about themselves.

Durgas Tiger School was not only a yoga School but a school of Life.
The Training was intense and creative. I had the chance to find the knowledge from within me. I was not being told but I was given the room to make my own expirience. The food was amazing and the place is a small paradise! Beds are comfortable and the whole team is sooo sweet and caring. I really felt save to go deep and to be light.
The Team was well organized and everything was handled with love.

I strongly recommend Durga 's Tiger School in Ecuador for anyone seeking to go deep into yoga, arts and shamanism. Teachers, and people working at Casa Kiliku (astonishing beautiful located on the hill of Ilalo volcanoe outside of Quito) are just incredible. I had the most wonderful learing experience attending yoga art and shamanism teacher training program in June 2018. Would go back without a doubt!!!

Magical, transformational, life changing, mind blowing, these words don't even begin to describe the depth of this teacher training school. Somehow Durga's Tiger School has created a magical space that is far beyond just a yoga teacher training school. Everyday we were pushed to our edge, made to face our darkness and we grew stronger each and every day as a result. The teachers and facilitators pushed us far beyond our comfort zone so that we could completely transform. Shed our old identity, and rise above and become a more whole and genuine version of ourselves. It is in this new body, this new identity that they then pushed us out into the world to share this amazing gift, the amazing experiences and our new soul projections, as teachers, with the world. Truly amazing place. Amazing teachers. I am forever humbled and grateful for the experiences that I had there. Durga's Tiger School, and the people I met there, will always have a place in my heart. Intense, amazing, eye-opening, heart-opening experience. The treasures you will discover within yourself, and your connections to others will change your life. It is painful and hard at times, but there is insurmountable joy and connection to discover. A must-do experience for yogis, and non-yogis.
