Excellent and speedy service from Dyfed…

Excellent and speedy service from Dyfed Telecom. Very happy with the speed of my WiFi now!
Dan Parry came and assessed the site and assured me that I could soon have excellent internet speeds. He was extremely helpful and dealt with all my questions and worries and also informed me that I could get a Welsh government grant to cover most of the cost.
Within a couple of days of the Starlink equipment arriving, their engineer Paul came and fitted everything ….. and bingo, we were up and running.
I had one issue with my sky Q box, but again Dan sorted it all out for me.
I would highly recommend Dyfed Telecom especially to anyone who lives remotely, we now have brilliant phone and internet thanks to them - as BT don’t give a monkeys and are not able to provide a constant phone line and broadband service that works.

He had all the answers to my questions and did not try to push the hard sell which was very encouraging during the current climate for business

Appalling

On calling I was told it would be one to two weeks. No one came back to me to tell me installation date when I rang I was told it would be 14 August I rang yesterday to confirm, told they would come back to me they didn't. I rang the 14th to ask when, no one came back to me again. I then rang and after 6 minutes of holding the phone cut off I did this several times and no answer at all so think they can see my number and not answering. I paid £60 for temporary internet and sent this back yesterday as advised today I would be connected. So now still no connection, no update. Appalling service.

4G broadband

After spending months trying to get a second line from BT (3 people working from home) we got great advice from Dan Price about broadband via 4G. We also kept the old landline number (via VOIP) and they assisted with setting up the necessary. Rhys the engineer couldn't have been more helpful. Much better speeds now!

I really want to be able to write a…

I really want to be able to write a positive review, and in all honesty, I haven’t proved the value of the Internet service as yet because I’m still waiting for it to be connected. But considering that Dyfed Telecom are a communications company, their communication is way below par. When I initially spoke to the sales person about using Dyfed as our broadband provider, it was because we would rather use a locally based company. He insured me that being local also meant that the service we would be provided was excellent and because they specialise in business service (which means that I’m paying more than I would with any of the Big providers) it would be above and beyond. We are in Wales. I have since found out that the company is now not exactly Welsh-based, but still UK so fairly local. they do have a Wales office, not very far from us in fact which you would think would make things less complicated. When I set up the contract I wanted to know when we would be able to be connected and was told usually within two weeks. I explained that it was important for me to be kept informed along the process because we have a child who is autistic. Communication during the past two weeks has been problematic and only initiated by myself- no welcome email, no communication. We are now at the point where we are meant to have an engineer coming tomorrow – I assume to connect us. I have not had any email communication from either Dyfed Telecom or the engineer who I understand will be doing a “survey” to ensure that all is suitable at our property. I have phoned Dyfed Telecom twice this morning and left a WhatsApp message (seemingly their preferred method of communication) with the sales consultant I spoke with initially.
The message was sent this morning at just before 10 o’clock, it is now gone 13:30 and it hasn’t even been read.
I spent 10 minutes waiting for the phone to be answered this morning and I’ve tried again on my lunch break only to be cut off after five minutes so far the service is seriously lacking and where it not for the fact that we’ve already waited two weeks to be connected and don’t want to wait further with another company (starting the whole process again) I would’ve pulled out. I will review again once the services is actually up and running in the hope that I can increase the star rating because when I write reviews I usually only write reviews about positive experiences.

Great experience dealing with Dan…

Great experience dealing with Dan Parry. We called up for help with WiFi around the farm and he came out within a couple of days to see what was needed and gave us plenty of information on what we need. Look forward to getting it sorted

Couldn’t be happier with the internet I…

Couldn’t be happier with the internet I have now with Dyfed. I wish I knew about them before but since I have had the internet installed, I went from 5mb to nearly 100mb, which is making working remotely even easier. And also less arguments with the wife and kids 😂😂 Thanks again Reese and team, right from installation to set up, and queries, the team has been amazing, especially Reese when he came to install it all; went the extra mile and installed another extender in my office just to make sure that I had even better internet due to thick walls . I highly recommend them !

Great service from start to finish

Great service from start to finish. Emma has been lovely to deal with, very efficient with everything being done very quickly and the engineer who installed was similarly lovely, explained everything and made sure all our devices were connected and working. Great service. 5 stars!! (Out of 5!)

We are delighted to go from an average…

We are delighted to go from an average of 5MB (for years) in rural Powys to nearly 150! (The VOIP phone and bridge to our separate outbuilding up the drive are also great). The service from Dyfed, from both Daniel and Elliott has been excellent throughout. My elderly parents and I were very happy with how smooth it’s been to change supplier and how much of that Dyfed do for you, and that they deliver everything they say, along with prompt responses. Most refreshing. We are also pleased to have the monthly service support - most helpful. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone struggling with slow rural speeds.

Informative, helpful and reliable

Dyfed Telecom are a very professional company to deal with and their service has been first class over the last few years we have been dealing with them. I was recently contacted by Paul in Sales when my contract was due for renewal and he was able to save me money on my monthly fee. If there are ever any technical issues, their response is always first class and an engineer is on site with a day or so. I really can't fault them. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Excellent company

Dyfed telecom provided us with a brilliant service. They installed a 5G connection to our house as we are unable to get Fibre Broadband in our rural area. They also did some work to one of our holiday lets so that the 5G connection from our house could reach it. Dan has been very helpful and the aftercare service has been really appreciated. Highly recommend!!

First class service all round

First class service all round. My enquiry with Meiz was handled quickly and efficiently. I was suggested solutions I hadn’t considered that were more suitable for my needs and more cost effective!

During my teething stage (as with all tech) David took over quickly and worked through solutions and talked me through the operation of the system.

Very happy with the service so far! Long may it continue.

Highly recommended

Absolutely brilliant service. Spoke to Paul as our previous internet provider was awful and we were in desperate need of good internet. He got us up and running with the help of his brilliant engineer Rhys in a matter of a few weeks. Brilliant signal, happy household again now. Great communication from the start.
Would highly recommend.

We decided to do something about our…

We decided to do something about our dreadful bandwidth and contacted Dyfed to discuss the options. Dan Price called us back straight away, talked through the options and visited us within a couple of days to talk over mobile broadband and Starlink. We decided on Starlink and Dan helped us get the order in place and booked an engineer to visit a few days after receipt of the kit. Just a couple of weeks after our first contact we have a much quicker solution place. Thanks to Dan and Rhys at Dyfed.
