Really good paint but awful customer service. I have had two orders from them as I am in the middle of a house renovation. One of the brushes was pretty damaged, not useable really as the hairs were bent. I emailed a couple of times asking for a replacement but heard nothing back. I gave it a month or so.

We've enjoyed using this paint. We have an old, damp-ish (listed) house with very uneven walls but found the Claypaint works very well. The colours are really interesting and responsive to light. We've had no issues with the patchy finish mentioned by other reviews, but have always left several days between coats (painting in the winter) and have always needed 2 coats (on previously painted walls). No odour and a genuinely matt finish.

An excellent product, a joy to use.
Quick delivery on orders directly from the company was a plus.
I read the experiences of others, where problems had arisen, for example with patching. I followed the company’s advice on this allowing the first application of paint to dry before overpainting. In fact, any patching vanished 24 hours later on the dry wall.
I have a historic property and have struggled to find a good compatible breathable paint for occasionally seasonally damp walls. I wholly recommend the matt clay paint.

We've just bought an old cob barn and were trying to find paints that would be breathable for the cob. We settled on Earthborn white clay.

First time using Earthborn and super impressed. I've used all the major paint brands during our five-year renovation and this was my favourite. Love that everything is eco-friendly and recyclable, and the paint has no smell. I found the Lifestyle finish needed a good stir when it arrived but it went on like a dream - great coverage and dried evenly. Will definitely use again.

Researched to find an Eco friendly cruelty free and ODOURLESS emulsion paint for bedroom. This appeared to claim above. However not only was it very expensive at over £90 per 5L can ( I needed 2 ) the smell in the room was fairly strong. Advised Earthborn and they claimed it was likely from the environment “off gassing”. Bizarre statement as not possible in my home/room as no other chemicals or paints used and the room was fresh aired, no furniture or carpets. Ironically I used another brand to thereafter paint skirting and it barely had any smell which they usually do. Would not recommend this paint or the companies customer service.

I recently used their paints in our hallway and I love their beautiful colours! And a plus that they’re eco friendly too!

I loved using Earthborn paints in my Georgian home. They were so easy to work with, had beautifully rich pigment, no odour, and were really easy to clean up. The colours have dried beautifully, and I would definitely use them again.

Earthborn paint features on every wall on my home. Great coverage easy to apply and glorious colours. No nasties and no lingering noxious odours. I'm about to paint the kitchen cupboard doors and received prompt, useful advice from the helpline.

Really wish I'd read all the reviews. Spent a lot of money on this paint. The only one that is ok is lifestyle white. All the other shades dry patchy I followed the instructions to a t.its take 7.5l to paint one wall in hobby green. You can't just touch it up like other paints you have to repaint the whole wall. As you get to one end the other end has almost dried. It's lovely and thick it's just the finished product. I thought by paying a high price you'd get high quality I will now go back to crown breathe easy paint

Absolutely awful paint. Do not buy it. I thought I was getting a quality paint due to the price and I used 3 coats in total before giving up due to patching, differnt shades in areas, the paint not blending. They wrote me an email saying this is common if the paint isn’t mixed before however I did mix the paint and there’s absolutely no way a paint should be different colours and patchy after 3 full coats. They refused a refund. Do not buy it.

I was delighted with the consistency of Earthborn Paint, it really went on easily and covered perfectly. I only needed one coat. Bunny Hop is a stunning soft tone that looks fantastic giving subtle warm hues.

I do a lot of furniture upcycling for hobby and love the Earthborn paint range for this, especially since we have a lot of children and the paint is all but completely odourless which is a really unique and unusual feature that just makes it so pleasant to work with indoors and with the kids around. I'd recommend ordering one of their free colour cards because the paint swatch colours are completely accurate on that compared to my digital screen display. I also find their little paint sample tins perfect for smaller detail painting on furniture protected with some wax on top. If you take the time to sand with a high grit sandpaper between coats the paint finish is so smooth, silky soft 👌🏼

I do wish I’d read the reviews of earthborn before I used. The paint is nice enough but I had issues with my order and it was more effort than I thought necessary to resolve. But they did resolve it.

No need for expensive primer, I have been using Earthborn for over 10 years. I have just had building work done and the whole cottage repainted using both Claypaint and Lifestyle. The coverage is great, my painters' loved working with it. The final look is fabulous and will be for years to come.

It is really easy and quick to order the paints and they arrive super quick -within 2 days.
The colours are beautiful and the actual experience of painting with them is a pleasure. No smells, no toxins and the consistency is lovely.
I’m doing up a Georgian house with lime walls so looking for excellent breathability. These paints have been perfect. Will always use them now!

At almost £100 for 5 litres it's expensive BUT so worth it. Excellent coverage with a luxurious matt finish that looks just beautiful and in my large(ish) living room I needed only 10litres.
Will definitely be using this again.

I used Eco Chic in shade Humpty Dumpty for a mini library project, and completed the project with Earthborn Furniture Wax. I used their brushes and rollers too and the whole project was a huge success. The paint went on like a dream and dried so quickly. No primer was needed which was a real time saver and the finishing wax has added a beautiful finish. I won't hesitate using Earthborn for future projects, and can't wait to test some new colours.
