Repeatedly misled about my ECO4 application
For months I was advised by Eco Grants Team that my ECO4 application had been submitted. This was stated to me on multiple occasions. I later discovered that this was not true.
During this time, Eco Grants Team repeatedly blamed the council, telling me that the application had been submitted and that delays were due to council issues. This was also untrue — I was later informed that the council had no communication with them at all.
After a long period of chasing, I was eventually told that my application had never been submitted at any point. I was then told in November 2025 that the ECO4 scheme had been “scrapped by the government”, despite the fact it remained available until 31st March 2026.
I relied on their statements and, as a result, lost the opportunity to pursue alternative routes while funding was still available.
I wrote to management regarding this matter and received no response.
The lack of transparency, accuracy, and accountability in handling my case has caused significant inconvenience and a missed opportunity.
Being repeatedly told that my application had been submitted when it had not, and being given false explanations for the delay, is unacceptable. This experience demonstrates a serious lack of reliability and transparency.
I strongly recommend avoiding Eco Grants Team. If you do choose to deal with them, get everything in writing and independently verify every stage of progress.
