Just another glitchy poorly constructed app that likes to take your money and has NO customer service. I'm sure I cancelled my payments, but the money come out from my bank anyhow. There's nobody home to talk about a refund. Nobody has replied to my customer help emails. I've sent three emails over two weeks. Obviously run by monkeys. Stick with Hemmingway App.

I first signed up with EditGPT on Apr.01/26 with the Pro Version and paid $138.00 CA funds. The Pro version was supposed to give me 500,000 words per month. The last two months it only shows 20,000 words per month.
The first two weeks, all seemed okay and it was editing my novel, (not as expected) as per my choices that I picked. I started slow, with a few paragraphs here and there.
In Mid April, I started experiencing multiple glitches with the program, which was doubling my paragraphs and thereby charging me double the word use. Errors started to pop up and I was getting words deducted for those too.

After reaching out multiple times to support and getting no replies what-so-ever, I knew they were a big rip-off. My last attempt to use EditGPT was July 24/26 and it was worse then ever. The program edited one word and red lines were crossed through all the rest.
After my multiple previous attempts to contact support I finally gave up, and decided to use Google, which is 100% better for novel editors or just editors in general.

My honest review is for others who have experienced similar issues with EditGPT. Once again, the main issues I experienced are: Double Editing Glitches - General Errors - Poor Editing - Absolutely No Support - No Refund. Note: The program deducts extra words from your total count and does not replace them. If I could leave no stars, I would. This is unacceptable service from a company that claims they are the best AI proofreader and AI book editor.

There was no where stated that this simply helps with grammar, not actually helps you structure sentences and gives you alternate suggestions to improve your writing.
I have pro plan and expected much better. It does the same thing that microsoft word does with correcting spelling and punctuation.

Twice (weeks ago and last week) I've complained politely to them and they do not respond. I'm a ProPlan user and using MacBook Pro with it for about a month and now editGPT is not working at all for me. It states I've used 70% of my monthly allotment too, and still doesn't work. They do not answer the complaint.

Dont think it does much more than free sites. I signed up as people on other sites said it was great, it isnt really its quite basic. I took out the pro as the novel I wanted to check through is 80k words. There are options of what you want it to do, so I chose a grammar check and asked it to do a tightening check. I expected that it would do the options all in one. It doesnt it does it separately to use up your word tally. There are 6 things you can ask it to do, you dont do all of those with a novel it doesnt allow it in a month. I then asked it to read though and suggest where I can add a few more words without spoiling the pace. It did it and showed me some highlighted areas, however it wouldnt scroll up so I couldnt see them, I clicked the mouse and it all disppeared, so I pressed to do it again and the same happened again......and it counted those as resubmitting a 80k work manuscript and used all my credits up in less than an hour. I was under the impression that the 400,000 words meant i could upload a number of manuscripts, not each of the options you ask it to check it uses up the full word count each time. Its a rip off, now I cant finish the document, and all the credits used up in one day, so ive paid for a month and got an hours worth of usage. Two of those are being it wouldnt let me view what it had done and I clicked and it took the words off me again. Its very basic, not worth it in my opinion. Free things do just as much. Got the same from free grammerly.

I am using the free account right now as my needs are simple.

iI cannot praise editGPT enough. I is very simple to use, and its suggestions are spot on. I mostly use the Proof, Improve and Rewrite buttons.

I like the Accept Reject feature as it allows me to keep certain words I like to use,
