Booked a loft cleaning job with Shay's company. Verbally quoted £850 for clean, then was charged £1650 which included new loft installation and boarding removal.

The loft was not cleaned as specified on Efficient loft website, when we raised concerns Shay became very aggressive on the phone blaming us for trying to cut corners. He sent his guys out 3 times and still was not cleaned properly.

He sent amateurs to clean our loft who ended up damaging our ceiling trying to remove old boarding by banging the screws loose. No cover sheets were put down beforehand (as described on the website) and our whole upstairs bedrooms was covered in fine black dust messing up our bedding and newly painted walls and new blinds.

He tried to compensate/apologise with a £150 discount and new bedding, bedding I don't need.

What a nightmare dealing with Shay. I'm still stressed writing this review!

Excellent service from Shay and his team. Things ran perfectly to time and great care was taken to protect my home from the debris. The new insulation is much thicker than the old. Would definitely recommend this firm.

Very kind service, i wasn’t sure what I need to do in my loft, Shay came to inspect my loft and gave me two options, I decided to go with the cheaper option( top up the insulation) .
The team came 10 days after to complete the job.

I enquired with this company after discovering that my property was listed as having no loft insulation on the EPC. I struggled to get into the loft myself. I was initially quoted approximately £600 to put in loft insulation and I booked a loft inspection to assess for this. After this, I was quoted £1520. I asked why it had increased so much and I was told that there was old insulation in there that was not fireproof and needed to be replaced. I received an invoice with the total cost but no breakdown of prices. I became suspicious and managed to get into the loft myself. I found a Claim of Conformity: Loft Insulation form by British gas from 2014 attached to the wall near the entrance. It stated that full thickness, compliant insulation had been installed in 2014. On inspection, this is the case.
I have therefore been treated fraudulently by this company.

Shay and his team were extremely professional from first contact to completion of the job. My loft was cleared of layers of old, dirty insulation, cleaned out, and reinsulated. The guys worked non-stop to get it done. They were polite and took great care to cover up as much as possible with dust sheets. Very pleased and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Very responsive to my first contact, and came to quote within a week. My loft was very dirty and full of old blown insulation. Shay’s team took on the job with out any complaint and it was completed within a few hours, with clean non flammable insulation laid.
As I had a new roof, I had building control to inspect the insulation as part of the sign off of this work and it met their requirements. So you can be assured Efficient Loft will fit insulation that meets current building regs. Great job and would recommend wholeheartedly.

Very helpful to plan and schedule this job. Cleared out old insulation and foam from large loft space then put in new mineral fibre insulation. The crew were great, worked like trojans and left with minimal mess to clear. Disposed of all the bagged up old stuff off the drive next day. Very highly recommended.

Our Scout hut desperately needs new inside roof insulation, from the wall plate up to the apex. Shay, from Efficient Loft Insulation, met me at the hut with the intention of giving me a quote, only to find that what was required was outside his remit but, rather than quit and leave, he took the time to explain what I needed to ask for with the specialist companies the job would require. Throughout our meeting Shay was friendly, professional and ever so helpful. A good company to deal with.

The guys at Efficient Loft responded in a timely manner and were able to fit us in with short notice. Fantastic service despite some hiccups but these were rectified immediately.
