TOTAL AND BLATANT DECEPTION!! I was looking at the various sites that help find the best electricity deals for my house and Electric.com came up on a Google search. I was suspicious when the only listed three providers - Just, Tara, and Amigo. Dug a little deeper and found out that all of the providers are owned by the same company, Just Energy! They make it look like they are doing you a favor by scouring all of the providers, but they are actually just letting you pick from one of their own companies. If that wasn't bad enough, almost all of the deals had serious "gotcha" terms, like charging you $59 to $149 UP FRONT to get the "Preferred Rate". Nice! I get a great rate and get charged a $149 fee first month for the privilege! They even have the gall to put these very words on their site:

This is openly deceptive, even if they eventually put other providers on their site, do you really think that their "Ranking" will be unbiased? BUYER BEWARE!!

I got a rate that was satisfactory lower than my existing providers rate which made me happy. The rep that helped me was very assuring in a questions I had concerning my address and billing address being different and some confusion it and taking place in the past with that issue with previous retailers.
