Elka is an award winning family run weaving & natural dye studio based in the South of the UK with a focus on teaching, both online and in-person, and sustainability. We have a range of online, self-paced weaving and natural dyeing courses which are all available with starter kits which are lovingly wrapped in recyclable packaging. Our courses will teach you everything you need to know to get set up and crafting from the comfort of your own home. Our frame weaving (aka tapestry weaving) courses are available with a weaving starter kit in a choice of nine different colour ways and two different loom sizes. They contain all the equipment and materials you need to set up your loom and start weaving beautiful pieces. Our natural dyeing kits contain all the ingredients you'll need to start experimenting at home, including enough dyestuff (weld for yellows and madder for reds) to dye around 200g of fibre, either plant (cellulose) fibre, or animal (protein) fibre. Alongside our online courses we also have a growing collection of shorter craft tutorials on our Youtube channel. We are passionate about sharing the love of our crafts through teaching.

Quick delivery
Quick delivery, I had asked for my order to be delivered before Friday, because I needed the yarn for my project on which I had to work that Friday and it arrived in Thursday. It was my first order, but will keep Elka textiles in mind for future projects.

What a brilliant service
What a brilliant service. I purchased the online weaving workshop with starter kit. The link and code for the tuition were emailed really quickly and the loom and fibres were packed beautifully and posted quickly too.
The videos in the workshop are clear, precise and easy to follow. Lots of wonderful ideas and each section also has a downloadable PDF with the written instructions.
Will certainly be recommending this to friends.
