Fornitura di prodotto non funzionante e non protetto da alcuna garanzia

Il 10 marzo 2026 ho ordinato un hard disk esterno, 4TB, marca Western Digital.
L'ho regolarmente ricevuto il 13 marzo e non essendo urgente e non dubitando affatto della qualità del prodotto, non l'ho testato subito.
L'ho testato per la prima volta il 26 marzo e, con mia grande sorpresa, ho constatato che il prodotto non funziona!
In pratica, non si può leggere, non si può scrivere, non si può formattare, non si può partizionare, nulla di nulla!!!
Così è cominciato il mio incubo.
Il prodotto è risultato essere senza alcuna garanzia!
In WD risulta una garanzia scaduta il 20 gennaio 2021!
Ho cercato di contattare Emag per supporto ma senza alcun risultato. In pratica contattare EMAG BG è sostanzialmente impossibile, non c'è indirizzo, non c'è email, telefono, assistenza, nulla di nulla.
Ho pubblicato sul sito la mia recensione negativa che mi è stata cancellata perché inaccettabile e mi è stato scritto di modificarla. Ho approfittato dell'indirizzo email della risposta per evidenziare il problema e mi è stato risposto che avrei dovuto presentare un reclamo e che la mia pratica sarebbe stata inoltrata al servizio competente.
Ho provato a presentare reclamo ed è risultato impossibile anche perché, nel frattempo, il mio acquisto è stato cancellato dalla lista dei miei ordini.
Peggio ancora è andata con il costruttore Western Digital, altro fenomeno.
Per farla breve li ho contattati per la registrazione in garanzia e mi hanno risposto che l'HD risulta prodotto nel 2019 e che la garanzia di due anni è scaduta nel 2021! A nulla è valsa la mia protesta che il diritto internazionale prevede che la garanzia di un prodotto non decorre dalla data di produzione ma dalla data di consegna!
A oggi 17 aprile 2026 mi ritrovo con un prodotto appena acquistato, consegnato non funzionante e con nessun supporto né da parte del venditore EMAG BG, né da parte del costruttore Western Digital, co-responsabili del supporto del prodotto!

On March 10, 2026, I ordered a 4TB Western Digital external hard drive online.
I received it on March 13th, and since it wasn't urgent and I had no doubts about the product's quality, I didn't test it right away.
I tested it for the first time on March 26th and, to my surprise, I found that the product doesn't work!
Basically, you can't read, write, format, partition, nothing at all!!!
Thus began my nightmare.
The product turned out to be out of warranty!
WD's warranty expired on January 20, 2021!
I tried contacting Emag for support, but to no avail. Contacting Emag BG is essentially impossible; there's no address, no email, no phone number, no support, nothing at all.
I posted my negative review on the website, but it was deleted because it was unacceptable, and I was told to edit it. I used the email address in the reply to highlight the problem and was told I should file a complaint and that my case would be forwarded to the appropriate department.
I tried to file a complaint, but it proved impossible, also because, in the meantime, my purchase had been deleted from my order list.
Things went even worse with the manufacturer Western Digital, another phenomenon.
To make a long story short, I contacted them to register the warranty, and they told me that the HDD was manufactured in 2019 and that the two-year warranty expired in 2021! My protest, that international law stipulates that a product's warranty begins not from the manufacturing date but from the delivery date, was to no avail!
As of today, April 17, 2026, I find myself with a newly purchased product, delivered non-functioning and with no support either from the seller EMAG BG, or from the manufacturer Western Digital, jointly responsible for product support!

Absolute scam

My sister wanted an egg cooker that can also fry eggs, so I decided "Hey, I'll buy one from EMAG". We got a product that was totally different from the one advertised and we did not get the part that lets you fry eggs, even though it mentions it in the title.

There was also some information below saying that the picture has an "informative purpose" and that the manufacturer can decide not to add some parts in the standard packet. Which is absolutely funny, but lets say we didn't read that. Then why does it say it in the title? I assume to purposefully scam people out of their money.

The reason why I am writing a review here is because I tried to add one in EMAG's website but apparently it didn't follow their "guidelines", which is curious, considering I didn't write any swear words or anything like that. So keep in mind if you ever decide to buy there, they also take down and do not publish negative reviews.

(Edit) - After checking again, the reason is listed as "mismatching product". That is hilarious considering that they sent it.

I also want to attach pictures of this but I wanted to review the company, not just a product review so I do not see that as an option.

Very shady company, I have never experienced shadier practices than with this company, will never use again

Incorrect Trustpilot title! This is to inform the TRUSTPILOT team to correct the company name from "eM" to eMAG". This page is for reviews for the Bulgarian branch of eMAG, while you have another page for the Romanian branch of eMAG, see trustpilot_com at www_emag_ro, using the correct title "eMAG" there.
Therefore, please change the company title to "eMAG" on this page accordingly. "eM" is wrong and non-existent.

Имат сериозни проблеми с обработката на поръчките. Когато най-накрая пратят нещо...половината неща пристигат счупени или с някакви козметични забележки, а не както си очаквал. За поредна година си обещавам да не купувам нищо от там, но ...жената е виновна...

Все пак не давам само 1 звезда, защото поне съдействат като стане проблем.

A solid place for weekly grocery shopping with fair prices. The self-checkout machines are a plus. My main complaint is that the store is often too crowded and the produce section isn't always as fresh as it could be in the evenings. It’s an average, reliable supermarket, but nothing extraordinary

never pay with a card as you will likely get the item with a few months delay or wont get it at all. Tried ordering twice from emag.bg and first time there was a huge delay, item was supposed to arrive in 2 weeks, it took 5. Second item is marked "delivered" in order history but it NEVER arrived. You have NO way to call anyone and ask WTF is going on. Support it practically non existent. Don't waste you time and money.

Didn't receive my order

I ordered some items more than 3 months ago and have not heard anything from eMAG. I received a confirmation email that my order is received and nothing thereafter. Luckily I chose the COD payment option and I didnt lose any money. So unprofessional!!

Поръчката ми беше доставена след 1 месец. Да оставим настрана, че приятелите ми получиха Коледните си подаръци в средата на януари, недопустимо е толкова дълго време за доставка. От Германия да им бях поръчала нещо, щеше да бъде доставено по-бързо. Можеше поне да се свържат с мен по имейл, за да ме осведомят, че пратката ще се забави, но така като гледам другите коментари, явно това въобще не е необичайно за тях. Нямам намерение да поръчвам вече през тях.

eMAG е удобна платформа, но обслужването при проблеми разочарова. Поръчката ми беше отбелязана като доставена, без реално да е получена. Процедурата по възстановяване отне седмици и изискваше многократни напомняния.
Парите не са най-важното — доверието и репутацията са. За съжаление, тук eMAG не се справи.

Return of articles doesn't work

Return of articles does not work! You can contact eMAG and talk to real customer agents, and they always end with "we will take care, wait for our reply by Email", but nothing ever happens afterwards, I tried to chat 4 times (!), but article was never picked up by a courier. eMAG has no specific customer care email to contact them by Email, nor do they have a customer care phone number.

Good job, eMAG. You optimized yourself right out of a loyal customer

For years, eMAG.bg was, at least for me, the Amazon of Bulgaria. I ordered tons of products from them without much thought. That era is over. I’m done.

Over the past couple of years, their customer service has gone from barely functional to effectively nonexistent. In a stroke of modern business genius, eMAG decided to replace actual human support with useless AI. Unsurprisingly, that AI has been completely incapable of resolving real problems. When I had issues with recent orders, it was worse than useless. That decision alone tells you everything you need to know about the direction the company is heading.

Product quality has also taken a nosedive. eMAG now feels like a marketplace for barely functioning Chinese junk sold at rock-bottom prices, dressed up with Photoshop-enhanced photos that have little relation to reality. When these products inevitably fail, eMAG sometimes expects you to jump through hoops and return the defective garbage. That’s a waste of time. They should be eating the cost themselves, especially considering they’re probably buying this stuff for mere stotinki.

A few other head-scratchers: with the number of foreigners living in Sofia, it’s astonishing that the site still doesn’t have an English-language option. Apparently, eMAG management is patriotic enough to refuse English support, yet perfectly comfortable replacing Bulgarian customer service with an AI chatbot.

I genuinely didn’t think anything could push me to start using TEMU. eMAG managed to do it. From here on out, I’ll be doing my online shopping on TEMU and Amazon.de instead.

They're a scam

Consistently one of the worst companies to have to deal with. Their customer support is abysmal, and they always think local laws don't apply to them. This year I've had to report them three times to Consumer Protection, for various violations of my consumer rights.

Just about to report them a fourth time. Apparently their "reviews" system is super, super strict. If you are unhappy with your purchase and leave a negative review, their "moderators" refuse to publish it. I just got an email saying that my last review was deleted because it's a complaint. The review was strictly about how the quality of the products I bought was misrepresented. Apparently with emag you're not allowed to be unhappy with products that are nothing like what was advertised.

Censorship of reviews

The product I ordered was of very bad quality and when I left a review I received and email that the review will not be published, because it is classified as a complaint.
Obviously they are doing this so that other customers order the same crappy product without seeing and actual review.
This is outrageous! Typical balkan business “strategy”!
I will not buy anything else from Emag!

This website is completely useless

This website is completely useless. I waited over 20 days for my product with no meaningful updates. When I contacted support during the second week, they took another week and a half just to take action. The chat support staff are largely clueless and provide no real help. Their AI chatbot, “Ema,” is an absolute disaster - clearly designed to prevent you from ever reaching a real person. It endlessly repeats the same generic responses and never resolves anything. Overall, this was an incredibly frustrating and time-wasting experience. I would strongly advise against using this site under any circumstances.

Factual experience with EMAG Bulgaria

I placed a first order for RAM memory at the normal market price. This order was cancelled by the merchant citing “out of stock.”

Later, after finding a product with similar specifications still available at market price, I placed a second order, which was confirmed.

Shortly after this purchase, the price of the same product increased significantly on the website. Around two weeks later, I received an email stating that I had cancelled the order, which is not true. I never requested any cancellation.

The only option offered was to repurchase the product at the higher price. Due to urgent academic needs, I had no choice but to buy it again. However, I consider this situation unacceptable: repeated order cancellations, false information provided to the customer, and no meaningful resolution offered.

I am submitting a formal complaint to the relevant authorities and sharing this experience to inform other consumers.

Simply avoid

If I could give 0 stars - I would.
First: the item was supposed to arrive 2 days after ordering, and this was confirmed in an email.
Second: 3 days later - no delivery. I tried to speak with an advisor and after 'chatting' with a Chatbot, I eventually managed to chat to a real person.
Third: The 'real' person sent me an Email asuring me that he is chasing my item. However, the way the text was structured could not have been typed by a real person, unless that customer advisor was a foreign national and he was using Google Translate. Why does this matter? Because: a) AI assistant can not be tracing and b) a Customer Advisor in a different country can't be tracing either.

The item was delivered on day 7th. Too late.

Got scammed by one of their sellers

Got scammed by one of their sellers. Didn't get helped. Paid full price for a Samsung SSD and got a cheap AliExpress fake one. I was traveling, so couldn't return in 14 days, and when I contacted them they said they couldn't help me. Got scammed. Will never use them again. They are supporting scams.

Pathetic user experience

Pathetic user experience, broken website, useless customer service. If I could give 0 stars - I would. I've bought 10+ times from them over the last 5 years and each time has been a different hassle. Today, I wanted to login to check on a recent order, which is pathetically late already, and can't login because their mandatory SMS to login does not work. I have perfect cell coverage, but no SMSes are arriving. Once I manage to login, I will cancel and delete my account once and forever.
