I was a big Emi Jay consumer. Every pop up and online drop I always purchased within minutes or first few in line. I’ve got my whole family to use Emi Jay (hair oil / hair perfume) however they’re recently have prioritized PR boxes over fulfilling orders. I’ve had to send emails ( no phone number ) to reach customers on package eta’s. My last straw with emijay was a promo spend $100 dollars receive a gift ( this was a cute teddy bear charm ) me and my sister wanted to twin so we got the email placed (2) orders within 13 minutes. This promo was going on from ( Saturday - Monday ) . Days go buy we get our package . My sister received the teddy bear and I was rather confused as I got a random hair clip… like some cheap clip on Amazon. I reached out to customer explaining like what happened, they said the fulfillment center “may have made a mistake “ that they “ wanted me to keep it” I felt so unheard and unappreciated. I just didn’t want to support a company who can’t fulfill what you pay for meaning $100 to receive a cheap $30 clip. For me to keep something I paid for .. gee thanks .. which I never got.
I love emi jay products. However, as an international buyer from Germany delivery time seems endless. I forget I placed an order on their website once the package arrives which is sad because the excitement is all gone by the time of delivery. Emi Jay must do something about international delivery times because it’s not the only US site I order from but all the others ship and deliver within 2 weeks or 3 at most. Emi Jay takes MONTHS. Also it’s not fair that specific products such as the hair mists ain’t available for purchase outside of the US which is bullsh* (im sorry) because all the other stuff is available…. there’s lots of improvement to do there unfortunately.
I've been buying Emi Jays for years and have never had a bad experience. Once their hair liquids came out, the brand just immediately elevated. The aura hair mist is probably one of the most complimented fragrances I've ever worn.
Purchased a custom clip in “Sugar Cube” because sugar cubes are white, the picture displayed white, and I even found a tiktok of someone showing the color and it was ivory/white. This was an engagement gift to myself. The clip showed up GREY - like dirty sink water grey. Not cloud grey or white adjacent grey, but very very grey. I was so confused I asked for confirmation that this was even the right clip color because surely it was a mistake - and if not they would realize there was an issue with the batch. Well no, I was told multiple times it was the right color BUT final sale since it was custom and they would pass along the color feedback. Sorry but final sale applies to if the customer changes their mind - not if there is FALSE ADVERTISING. This is fraud!

Emi Jay offers no package protection and they only use UPS as a delivery carrier so need I say more? UPS marked my package as delivered though I never received it. I provided photo proof as well as offered to provide video footage of my package concierge building showing UPS never delivered during the delivery window they stated. Needless to say, after going back and forth with the customer service rep over email (because they have no support phone #) , the rep tried to gaslight me and made it seem as though I did receive the package and just wanted them to send me a replacement. Sorry I don’t need another $300 worth of hair clips.
So I’ve issued an investigation with my card company and will be fighting Emi Jay, tooth and nail.
DO NOT order from them. This is a small business who blew up but pls don’t forget, these are hair clips. Not worth the price nor the headache from their customer service people.
I had two of their clips breaking 1.5 months after purchase with no refund offered … definitely not buying more especially for that price … brand is cute but has serious quality issues so definitely not worth the money. Another hair clip I had from a mid range brand is now over a year old and didn’t break. All that advertising in vogue and tiktok seems just like a paid hype sadly to me
I ordered on 2 Dec on 9.00 am pst. I waiting almost 2 weeks until 17 Dec, I didnt receive any parcel.
I contacted CS on 17 Dec , ask about order status.
CS got back on 18 Dec told me waiting 3 days for investigation.
I contacted again on 20 Dec. Ask about status.
CS got back told me parcel lost in transit and I confirm replacement with summer fridays lip oil that promote to give customer the 100 customers order on 2 Dec 9.00 am
CS got back on 24 Dec said my order didnt include summer fridays. Maybe I think the brand dont want to replace a free gift. Because I checked brand ig story after I ordered they do not update the gift out of stock. I cant see responsibilty for CS action. I rated 0 star for CS support.
AND CS refund my order after I answer email without reason and respond. I told I would like a replace on 20 Dec.
It's almost 3 weeks that I still waiting and didnt get anything at the end.
Waste my time for bad experience.
It's not the first time with this brand.

I paid extra delivery fee to Emi Jay to get a 5-business day delivery. I ordered my stuffs on December 9, but Emi Jay created the label for my package on December 13 and the carrier got my package on December 15. There's no point for me to pay extra delivery fee to get my package on time for my trip if the brand will ship it out so late. Now it shows in the carrier system that I will receive my package on December 23.
I email Emi Jay's support team 3 times since December 14 to refund my delivery fee and also DM them in Instagram but they have never responded BUT they are still very active reposting instagram stories. Worst support team in any brand I have purchased.
I wish I read the reviews from recent costumers but opted to just go with all the positive feedback from friends and TikTok. I honestly thought the quality of the clip would be much sturdier but didn’t really harp on that. I was more disappointed when I showed costumer service the glue/scratch looking huge dot on the closure where the clip bends. They wanted to send me the same clip but I didn’t want the same one due to the quality of this one and asked if I could get a solid black one instead. I obviously would have returned the old one as I expected them to say I needed to do in order to receive a different one. After my follow up I received a canned response that a return label was issued. I did say I would like a refund if the exchange wasn’t possible but I guess my email got misconstrued? Either way for a small business woman owned I expected a little bit more understanding from their end, but will not shop anymore with them, especially for the price. I am definitely not a freeloader and would’ve never expected to keep the defective clip and expecting new one free of charge. I did give two stars because I feel like their designs and the rest of their clips are gorgeous.
I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with the quality of Emi Jay.
As someone who was so excited to receive my hair clips and to have one of them already have a pearl missing is absolutely unacceptable.
I spent well over $100.00 and I received my package on July 27th 2024… it is August 14th 2024 and it hasn’t even been a month and I’ve used the clip 5 times and a pearl is already missing. This is a $34 HAIR CLIP!!!!! It SHOULD not be losing any diamonds or pearls. I’ve had $5 hair clips last longer.
For the price of Emi Jay this is absurd and I will never be purchasing again. I pray that the rest of my hair clips stay in GOOD condition as I am nervous of what will happen to them due to the poor quality of Emi Jay.
They messed up the shipment of my package, causing it to be returned to their facility. Despite their error, they are still insisting on charging me for shipping again if I want a replacement. Unbelievable!
Emi Jay is a big scam.
The quality of the hair claws is appealing. Mine broke only after 5 times of use — the glue came off, the beads as well.
The worst cheap quality!
The customer service did NOTHING. Not only did they not refund for this cheapest product but they even didn't provide any kind of compensation / discount coupon.
Avoid at all costs!
Customer service was amazing! My daughters clip came damaged emailed customer service they resolved the problem no issues and super fast!
The customer service was extremely helpful and solved my issue in no time. I moved houses and accidentally put in my old address so I figured I would I let them know and they changed the address, shipping it in no time! It made me want to support the brand even more. Seriously 10/10 service <3 not to mention the cutest clips EVER.
Emi Jay provides the worst customer service ever. The site always cancelled the orders as they thought that when you buy a lot means you are reselling their products. Why dont they think that we buy a lot because we wanna save the shipping fee. The free shipping is offered for the order over 100 USD. It's shame of EMI JAY. They treat customers like they dont wanna sell. Please fix your attitudes.
