Worst electric company in the world

This is one of the worst companies I have ever attempted worked with. I say "attempted" because it's a one-way endeavour. Avoid them at all costs! An absolutely horrible, time-consuming experience. They tried to overcharge me hundreds of Euros for a bill. It took many hours of phone time with extremely rude "customer service" representatives to clear it up. They now continue to periodically send me mysterious letters in the mail asking for extra money without explanation. They don't reply to emails and when I call I am offered no help or explanation, but rather the rudest and most unhelpful discussion about what I "owe." Attempting to deal with them feels like a full-time job. It's shocking that companies with this level of blatant incompetence/intentional criminality (it's tough to know which it is) this are legally allowed to exist in Germany. Do yourself a favour and go with any other company at all.

Awful customer services !!!

I'm currently being over charged by 1hr per day for my electric for storage heaters. They are meant to stop charging at 07.30am . After the clocks have just changed i noticed i was being charged up to 08.30 a good 1hr after they were meant to go off.
I called Eon to speak about this, got all the usual bluff from the staff member, oh i'm sorry to hear about this, leave it with me i'll make a call to my Manager an i'll call you before 5pm when i finish.
I've heard this so many times over the years with Eon, off course the phone call never happened. Tues i took photos of smart meter after 07.30 as still being charged that extra 1hr, sent them via email. Got a reply from some random staff member again saying he would help.
That was 3 days ago now and still not heard back from them.
Absolute joke of a company, many people struggling with energy bills and yet here i am being over charged by 1 hr per day and no-one from Eon wants to get back to me with an answer.
Can't wait to move and get rid of this awful company !!

Absolute chaotic rubbish service

Absolute chaotic rubbish service. Trying to change direct debit. Over an hour and a half trying to get through on the phone with no luck. Chat bot doesn't work, just keeps cutting off. I now have a stack of email transcriptions for chats 0seconds long. Tried to use Facebook messenger, firstly it refuses to accept my account number, then I just get a load of standard cut-and-paste from their website. The most useless company I have been unfortunate enough to deal with. And a week later, I am still not resolved my issue

I was appointed this company after…

I was appointed this company after symbio ceased trading. Trying to make contact with them is proving difficult. I have been billed but then recharged for all my units since the switch. Even though I’ve been paying and billed monthly. Can’t get a response and I’m trapped as I can’t switch to anyone else. As soon as things change I will definitely change supplier. The amounts they are charging they should at least have the courtesy to have a bit of customer service!!!

E.ON app

The E.ON app is useless it just sends you to another E.ON Next website which needs new login details. It is really difficult to submit readings which they should have anyway. Phoneline not open on Saturday morning.

Non existent customer service

I have a pre paid meter... The app never works properly, the customer service is diabolical.. You can only contact them Mon to Fri 9am till 5pm (most people are working) if you do contact them, they are utterly useless

Don't be duped into getting a smart…

Don't be duped into getting a smart meter.
It too 2 weeks to install and the remote unit only gives historical information eg...whst you have used and not what you are using something I was told by Eon it would do.
The radiation these meters omit is damaging my health be warned, despite various emails Eon have refused to remove it unless I pay or I provide medical documentation which is impossible.

Oh Dear Oh Dear - I rang EON for some simple tariff advice on…

I rang EON for some simple advice on 0808 501 5200
and after 30 minutes gave up. This was the number I found with difficulty on the website
I then telephoned EON on 0345 303 3040 and gave up as the voice navigation was incredibly unhelpful.
I then rang on 0345 052 0000 and spoke to a first class gentleman who was most helpful and answered my query perfectly. The staff member was first class but the process appalling. Basic management is required here- The resources on customer facing activity must meet the needs of that activity.

Eon issued an incorrect bill to which I issued actual meter readings back in 2020. Eon repeatedly appologised yet continued to reissue the incorrect bill... after many many months, countless phone calls, letters and emails they eventually took me to court for the incorrect bill. They conceded defeat on the steps of the court, however they still placed a credit default on my credit file. I've been contacting Eon to have this removed only to have customer services just hang up on you when you ask for a complaint reference number (which you need to pursue them via the ombudsman)... Simple the most arrogant, dysfunctional and dishonest company in the marketplace!

Being chased for a deceased person’s debt!

Despite being told several times that the previous occupier of the address I moved to was deceased, they continued to send bills in his name and eventually sold the debt to BW Legal who are now harassing me for a dead man’s debt! See their reviews on here, it’s a real eye opener! Also, they should be prosecuted for attempted FRAUD, trying to get people to pay for debts they don’t owe.

Reference statement 18.11.21

Reference statement 18.11.21. The smart reading for GAS is WRONG. For some reason the meter for GAS has been entered at 00000 on 13.10.212. I have phoned EON 5 phone times since 18.11.21 and each agent has said they would sort it and an amended statement would be issued. To date nothing has been done. Please help!!!

Utterly APPALLING customer service

Utterly APPALLING customer service! Do not do not do NOT choose EON as your energy provider under any circumstances!!!

As I write this, I am still waiting after 30 minutes on hold to speak to a customer services rep. Its not the first time and it seems I didnt learn the first one.

The automated system will have you wanting to punch someone before you've even got through.....the most dedicated pacifist would struggle big time not to say the same.

The music seers into your brain destroying every happy cell in there until you are ground into a lifeless single cell who doesnt even know why they called in the first place, once the CS rep actually answers.

If you have nothing better to do with your entire day, by all means join this company but if you still have a spirit and want to keep it.........dont!!!

The ONLY saving grace for me today was a guy called Ndudi who is a rep for Eon Next who saved my sanity!!! He should be paid a bonus for his patience and determination to help me today....especially the mood I was in!

I've been with Eon since it was powergen and before that it was norweb. Absolutely the worst company now is Eon run by the biggest bunch of inept gutter trash on earth. Ignore emails. Ignore letters of complaint.
Do exactly the opposite of what you ask them to do.
It's only about money with this mob.
I'd normally like to keep everything separate but on this occasion I'm going duel fuel with British gas and I'm transferring my solar panel generation account to BG too.
I had an issue with British gas and sent them a letter via 1st class recorded delivery signed for on the 18th of August and I got a phone call the very next day from a lady in their executive office saying she would do everything possible to sort the problem. Such a difference between Eon and BG so much so Eon are losing all my business in favour of British gas.
Eon are the absolute pits of a company to deal with.
From February this year I'd not been able to log in to my online account with Eon but they kept taking £50 a month regardless of how many emails I sent them.
All they kept saying was login to change password. No use as couldn't login.
The stupidity of them.
They took over another company this year and it would seem their website couldn't keep up with demand.
Horrible company and staff not recommended.
Really it's not even one star but it won't allow zero stars.

The absolute worst company in the UK I can’t comprehend how they’re allowed to exist. 50 minute wait times to speak to someone, unexplained charges, being hung up on. I despise them.
I had a dispute for over two years with them that’s how little they care
