Easy to integrate API with a big variety of news and ways to filter them. Very useful GUI and easy to implement Python SDK. The "events" feature filters out news very well.

We've been working with the Newsapi.ai to keep track of organizations, diseases and treatments targeting children and adolescents in the Global South. It's very useful to keep track of events rather than articles to avoid having to sift through similar articles. Location data and concept help finding information about particular organizations, rather than tracking keywords or themes.

The api is very easy to use, and the customer service is really responsive. The product is reasonably priced. I'm happy with both the coverage and content of the news. There are also a few useful and unique functions inside the api, such as removing the duplicates, and entity recognition.

What we needed was a simple and easy-to-integrate solution to our platform. The sandbox / playground was a nice feature to setup our code faster but also useful for the non-technical people to evaluate the value that the API brings. To put it in other words, the combination of having a free-tier to make a quick proof of concept, the well-written documentation (most of the time) and the excellent customer service made our decision to go with Event Registry in the end very easy.
