Do Not Do Business With EverFast!

If I could give EverFast zero or even negative stars I would and they would be well deserved.

We have been customers through the various evolutions of the company: Everest->Surewest->Consolidated Communications and very happy with service, support and pricing. In February Everfast took over and to say it has been (and is) a nightmare would be a gross understatement. We have lost some of the on-demand services we regularly used through Apple TV (e.g. History Channel, Food Network, etc.). Multiple phone calls to both customer service and tech support have resulted in a myriad of excuses and worthless “fixes”. Worse yet, the least amount of time spent in queue for Customer Service was 52 minutes. The longest was an hour and a half. Technical support has an appallingly low level of technical knowledge of how their own network operates and none knew what AppleTV or Roku devices are.

We are in the process of moving to a new provider. I would strongly recommend avoiding EverFast and the attendant incompetence and frustration. Believe me, there are a number of better options.

Since couple of weeks we are facing…

Since couple of weeks we are facing internet issue.
We are working from home. Always it gets disconnected. Not sure why. No continuity in connection. It is a very serious problem we are facing.

almost every weekend service is not…

almost every weekend service is not available here at John Knox the number called usually leads to a secondary part time person who tries to reboot the cable box remotely usually unsuccessfully who then creates a "ticket" to be assigned to a technical group who at their discretion calls back or comes by to check the cable box, usually just explaining they are converting from consolidated communications and it is taking time. so far I have spent two hours trying to get service, the other times calling John Knox just refers calls to the Marketing department open on the next business day. So far this is about the 7th or 8th time I have had this issue. Guess I will miss the Chiefs game today.

After several disappointments and no…

After several disappointments and no service I cancelled by mail. Bill kept coming. They claim I cannot cancel by mail but would cancel now. Claimed I had to talk with Consolidated, the company they bought. Bills with new charges kept coming. Emailed the CEO but never heard. In desperation sent a letter to the address on the last bill. It came back saying no forwarding address. Am now very happy with Verizon.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. They send no bill, I call to try and pay and can't get someone on the phone. Then my internet goes down and I still can't get someone on the phone. What am I paying for??

Unmatched

Customer Service is LIVE... If you get put on hold, someone asks you first... I pay for 500mbps, but 90% of the time its running at 650-700. Smooth, reliable, and MOST IMPORTANTLY? It's CHEAP because it's local. I've tried them all and EVERFAST is the best. hands-down. I am real, I'm not paid for this review, and other than an email asking for me to review, this is 100% sincere. - Jayson M. OPKS

REQUEST FOR A NEW REMOTE

Oct 26, 2023 remote stopped working. Numerous calls to call center had conflicting remedies. I wrote a review weeks ago and it has not shown up. Did Everfast delete it after days of follow up calls. New remote arrived Nov 9, 2023 from Lenexa after 14 days. Not one person out of 4 knew where remote would be shipped from????? We have been customers since 2002, that's 21 years since Everest came to town. Dwane W. Overland Park.

Great Expectations | Terrible Results

I was SO looking forward to working with Everfast Fiber (Consolidated Communications). The price was right, and I really enjoyed talking with Jerry when setting up the installation appointment. Within one week of install, our internet speed was extremely slow, so I called Jerry. She said to email her and give specifics of the problem, and she would forward to the service Dept. I didn’t get that email sent for 5 days due to a busy weekend, but I sent it on 10/20/23 and by 10/26, I’d heard nothing, so I sent the email again. The next day, I received a follow up email where Jerry said to call service. I called 2x and was disconnected. I called again the following Tuesday, 10/31. I was told that our 1G speed was not guaranteed for Wi-Fi. If I wanted that speed, I needed to hardwire my connection. Disappointing. So I sent another email to Jerry 11/2 to cancel our service, effective 11/10. I needed to get another internet provider lined up before cancelling. I hadn’t heard back from her, so I sent another email to her today (11/8) and now my internet is NOT WORKING AT ALL. I work from home, so this is not acceptable. On top of all of that, my first month was supposed to be free. On the 10/20 email, I reminded Jerry that we were to receive our first month’s service free, but 11/6, I received a past due invoice with no credit applied. I’m very disappointed. For background: I am slow to leave a service. I must be extremely unhappy before making the decision to switch ANY service. I am a responsible patron, and I strive to be courteous in all my communications and give the benefit of the doubt. The lack of communication and follow through on all of this has been the most frustrating part.

Terrible company.

You promised the first 3 months would be free!!!

But it’s not!!!

My wife has talked to your phone bank several times trying to get to someone who can get this straightened out. No success.

And this afternoon’s mail brought a disconnect notice.

Don’t believe anything any rep from this company says.

They said the modem had to be installed…

They said the modem had to be installed in the basement where we rarely use wifi so the strongest signal is wasted. Even with an extender we only get 15-30 mbps upstairs in areas we use wifi the most. Also they said first month was free but install took 2 weeks to complete so really only getting a couple weeks for free. They were unable to waive the taxes so still paid $6 for the free month.

Timothy, sorry for the confusion. We checked your bill. The services received (TV) are $147/month before taxes. Your installation took place with 4 days left in the billing cycle and your first bill was prorated for 4 days from the prior billing cycle. This made the bill $153 prior to taxes. After taxes the total was $162. Going forward, your bill for TV/Internet will be $147/month not including taxes.

The communication between the remote…

The communication between the remote and the cable box does not always work. (I have to turn on the TV with my TV remote.) The cable remote only turns on the cable box.

download speed is ok but never gets…

download speed is ok but never gets close to stated "up-to" Mb per second transfer. Upload speed is bad. I'm guessing that Everfast depends on people like me that focused on the Gig download speed and never asked about the upload speed.

Thank you for the review. To get an accurate measure of your true download speed, it is important to make sure you are wired directly to the router with the device that is performing the test. Any tests done over WiFi will reflect a download speed less than the subscribed speed. https://www.pcmag.com/how-to/how-to-check-your-internet-speed . For upload speeds, most users can get by with upload speeds that are less than the download speeds. On our HFC network, a 1 GB plan has an upload speed of approximately 25 Mbps. This is sufficient for a full household that streams, does online gaming, video calls, etc. Where it becomes problematic is when you need to consistently upload extremely large files (full length HD videos, graphic design files, etc.). If this fits your usage profile, please reach out so that we can discuss further.

The installation was less than…

The installation was less than professional.
The modem and mesh box was placed on top of old coaxle contacts and was not secure in the ceiling. I had to reinstall the boxes and clean up the wiring layout.
