We used these guys to move us from the South Coast to the Midlands. Great guys Geordie & Jimmy made it a great experience and it was all completed on the day. Good communication from start to finish and everything well looked after…would recommend!

I was very tense and nervous about moving, but I shouldn't have been! The 2 lads were very polite and courteous. They were very careful in dismantling and reassembling our furniture and handed us delicate and small things like the keys for the wardrobe and the screws to take so they wouldn't get lost on the van. They coped with our ridiculously heavy LaCanche cooker and our large Camelia! Would recommend.

Do not use this company to move you they are a shambles. They turned up late. Boxes were put in wrong rooms even though the boxes were labelled and so were the rooms the men must of been dyslexic. Our furniture was scratched and damaged, TV broken and several items were smashed to pieces in the boxes even though they were also labelled fragile. They left items in the garage and other items in our old house we had to do a number of trips back to collect the stuff left behind. The office staff/manager I spoke to was not helpful when I complained or willing to listen to the service that we had received from their people that work for them. We have received no compensation even through we took the extra insurance out with them that costed an extra £170 which they did not leave me alone about taking out with them. Express removals are the worse company that has ever moved us please don’t use them.

Express Removals moved us today and the service we received was excellent, very quick, friendly removal men, who carried out our move with ease and efficiency. We would thoroughly recommend Express Removals to move you from one home to another. This is the first time we have had a company move us and we have no hesitation in recommending Express Removals.

We recently used Express Removals for our move to Spain. I sent photos of what we were planning to move and was quoted two amounts as we were unsure if we were going to take our sofa. We went with the quote to take it which along with the rest of our possessions which they estimated at 650 cubic feet. On the day of the removal, they arrived more or less on time and got under way. At this stage everything was going smoothly. Later in the day I had a plumber arrive at the property to investigate some damp as we are renting our house. By the time I had finished with the plumber the van being used for removals (advised by the removal guys that it holds 800 cubic feet) was now full and they couldn’t fit in the few remaining items. I was then asked what I wanted to take. Obviously I wanted to take all of it as that is what I contracted them to do but ended up having to leave my toddlers pram and a few other bits. This is despite them taking our hoover to the van, dropping it over the bed base (that was blocking the view of inside of the van) and it fell by at least 2 foot!! They had been advising me earlier that day that they had to get to the drop off by a certain time so it seemed that this was more likely as to why the van was suddenly ‘full’. They leave, I take some of the bits they’ve left to the tip and come back to spot some minor damage to the front door frame. I then open my emails, within an hour of them leaving I had been sent an invoice for £1,861.00 for additional space used. The invoice stated ‘original amount 530 cubic feet, amount used 900 cubic feet’. So not the 650 that I had paid for nor the 800 that could actually fit in the van! I immediately questioned this and brought the damage to their attention. After many emails back and forth I finally get an amended invoice for the 650 CF paid for and 760 CF used which seemed more reasonable at an extra £451.00 and ultimately had to pay this as they had all of our belongings. However, they refused to take responsibility for the damage, instead blaming it on the plumber and his tool box. Not only was the damage above waist height (I don’t know any plumbers that would carry their heavy tool boxes above their waist so that’s rubbish) but it was clear by the scattered wood and paint chips that it was due to something being forced out. The removals arrived in Spain a week later than originally advised which fell on my wife’s 40th birthday so instead of celebrating as such an occasion should be it was spent dealing with the removal company in Spain which thankfully wasn’t Express Removals and they were nothing but courteous and professional. They pointed out to me that they found loose items that hadn’t been labelled by Express Removals and were unsure if they were ours so at this stage I’m not entirely sure if everything has been delivered as it was a lot to remember. I only asked that Express Removals reduce the bill by £50 for the minor repairs that would have had to take place yet they still insist that that it has nothing to do with them. I personally would not recommend them to anyone or ever consider using them again!

This company was awful. They failed me at every point. I was going through a distressing move and asked them to talk me through the pro and cons. They failed to mention the cons. They were late (but tried to blame me), they left things behind ( but tried to blame me) at 4pm on the dot, they left with all my property, as they close at 6pm (which I didn't know) and offered me no late key insurance or overtime rate in advance or on the day. They charged me double to bring back the next day ( but tried to blame me). They broke a lot of my property in the move and storage overnight (but tried to blame me). Their customer service was awful. I went to the Ombudsman whose hands were tied thanks to very very very small print that they will do no work after 6pm at night. If your monies from a sale goes through at 4.08pm, as mine did, they will not stay to put your property back in the new home, they just leave. Andrew Podmore, the owner, was very shouty and unhelpful. It was a distressing experience and I will never recommend this company. They never said sorry or tried to offer any help to resolve the situation. Please do not use this company.

These guys were amazing. Did the job and were friendly and so helpful.
Could not ask for better service.
100% would recommend to anyone moving soon.
