I paid €29 euros for a course of lessons on music marketing. What it was in fact was a series of videos for a very hyper guy fast talking all leading to going to the next step for signing up to paid support. It’s like paying to listen to a sales pitch. Not one part of the ‘course’ provided any detail of how to do music marketing, just explained what the marketing concepts mean. Absolutely nothing about what the audience should actually do. This is a scam. If anyone actually goes through to join the program there is still no marketing strategy help, it’s just a course for more learning. And the videos are really difficult to stay engaged with because the guy constantly repeats every point over and over again just arranging the words in a different order. I now know what a fan funnel is. Am nowhere further knowing what my marketing strategy should be. €29 Wasted. And I don’t want to be a music marketer, I’m a singer songwriter. He is also very contradictory, says it’s a mistake to first write an album, but then goes on to say you need a product to monetise….

I've been in the program for a couple of months and I'm still not where I want to be. But I know, if I keep going step by step, I will reach my goal to become the musician I want to be and to reach the goals I want to reach. I see FanbasePro as a great framework of guidance in the jungle of digital marketing. There are still times I feel completely overwhelmed and that's where I 1) find many answers in the videos of the course and 2) get answers by direct email support or in one of the video calls that are provided twice a week. In these calls I get a feeling of "I am not alone in this" which is priceless.
With this being said I recommend this course to every musician who wants to develop as an artist and who wants to get guidance from people who know how to travel the realms of digital marketing.
In case you are looking for a quick fix better don't consider this for you.
You need to be ready to invest in yourself, be patient and keep walking.

My experience with FanbasePro has been, and continues to be, great! I have learned so much in the nine months I have been in the program so far. The staff at FanbasePro are also very accountable. They always answer any question that I have. Sometimes it takes a while to get an answer, but so far they have always delivered eventually, and I look forward to stay in the program, and learn more!

EDIT 2: they keep reporting my review as they don’t like all real negative reviews. All the 1 star reviews I’ve seen before have been removed. Interesting how a business just hides the reality of what they do, and how they achieve to keep doing it. This review is gonna hide their names (even though their names are public in this business and the guy says his name on every video)
EDIT 1: this company tried to flag this review as for 'defamation' so nobody has the chances to read a real review of fanbasepro, the pure reality. The guy contacted me by email after flagging this review to 'resolve' the issue, to have a chat and see what could be done. I answered twice to his email to give him/them another chance as he reached out and I thought maybe he did care about his company then, maybe he contacted with a purpose of solving an important matter, however he never answered back. It seems all he wanted was my review taken down to keep their fake-stars up. If you value your hard earned money, avoid this company. Thank me later

Original Review: Agree a lot with the other review (removed). Too basic information which most of us already know, no communication, only few emails here and there... They promise you in the beginning you'll work together to make you $5k/month of income, but all you get are a bunch of not very useful videos to watch, few group calls where no one talks but just let you ask questions and most of people won't ask a single thing cause they're either beginners or just looking for other people's questions. As I have just said, they promise you they will work together with you, however, even they ask you to upload the exercises and work done, no body checks them, no body will come ever back to you about those works, no body will help you grow, no body will really care about you. No point doing an exercise they ask you for if then you can wait endless time for someone not to even talk you back about it. They offer a full course to monetize your audience, which you don't even have full access for (it was even not finished when I joined, asking you to email them when you finish a section so you can access to the important one, which I never got access to.) This is a truly smart scam, just to show in your eyes you could be making money so you feel the urge that this is the course that's gonna help you reach the next level while they are the ones making money of your innocence. The content is outdated, a lot of fillers rather than useful content, they even tell you how to get 100k views on a Facebook video and they're way for it is just to pay Facebook ads, they won't show you anything at all. Not about SEO, not about ranking, they won't help you be better. they will literally read the same information you can read from the official pages of how algorithms work, what they are and not much more. Even if you do a campaign, no one will check it out to help you improve it. when you receive their email for proposal of entering this course, they promise you will work with (removed), however, I haven't even met him, just a couple of incompetent staff (removed), who doesn't even know what they're doing. Many questions I asked was answered I don't know, or 'you know what you need to do, keep doing it, clearly you're good at it'. where is the support and service in there? They promise you personal coaching sort of thing, however, watching videos and having 4 calls a year is what this course is about before you pay. As soon as you pay, nothing about it. They offer you this course as an exclusive thing with few spots available so you feel one of not many, however they clearly take as many dumb persons as they can to pay them a huge amount of money for some not useful content they badly made. Bad quality, many issues and much more. In Christmas, they offered for $500 the same course I was offered for $5k, so I felt very scammed. I expressed this matter to them, and their excuse was this Christmas offer didn't include any calls nor support, so you're telling me 4 calls a year cost $4.5k? insane. I asked them to make a better deal or to refund me as this isn't worth any money I paid them at all, and all I got was excuses, that they don't offer refunds, that they're happy with the content etc, however I didn't pay to watch videos and that's it, the support I paid for, was inexistent. They did offer money back guarantee in that Christmas offer, however they're smart scammers they don't say anything about that in the big price course, as they get to steal all your money no matter what. Anyway, After crossing endless emails with them (never got an email from the guy though, so imagine how serious this scam is) they canceled my payments and sent the remaining money to a debt collection company. they're insane, and I still never had access to the full course even though they said I had. Big Modern S-k-amers to avoid.

I have been working through the FanbasePro curriculum for about a year since Jan. 2024 and couldn't be more pleased and feel well served. I was contemplating several other trainings in this vain and feel I made the best decision going with FanbasePro. I have had a lucky education, between The Juilliard School and the high-end private teachers available in NYC, and this course surpassed all my expectations. It is more like a boot camp/lifestyle course with all the tools and processes needed for a DIY musician interested in online marketing. It is all clearly laid out in both a professional and heartfelt step-by-step manner. About two or three lessons into the program, I realized I had found a master teacher in Tobias Rauscher. It is one thing to know your field, but it's another to be able to create such a well-laid out syllabus and include a complete action plan as well as many, many features I didn't realize were key. The first two Phases I've been working on were the Success Foundation, establishing your unique Artist Identity and working through a blueprint of the current Music Business. It then moves on in Phase 2 to all the tools and mindsets of Music Promotion. I take my membership in the overall music community fairly seriously. It's more like a brotherhood than a club IMO. So I can honestly give FanbasePro a 5 star rating. It is also an evolving method with regular updates, as Tobias practices what he preaches in implementing the tools in his own music career and continuing on his own learning curve with all the latest developments. Highly, highly recommended!

Some people commenting here may feel ripped off because they didn't realize what they were buying. Think of it like a legit college course in marketing- it is an investment in your education, and you have to hold yourself accountable and do the work independently. There is a live zoom twice a week where you can get help, but really it is a self directed course. I have implemented some of what I've learned already, on my old you tube content and on my personal website. Once my album is finished, I will start the promotional cycle using the info and strategies from the course. I am very inspired and excited to get started!

Five-star program. Lots of information, tips and high-quality material. I learned a lot. The support of the team helped to move forward in problematic situations. I warmly recommend it. But you have to give it time, growing a fanbase is not a magic trick, you have to be willing to work and be committed.

To start with, everyone I have had comms with at Fanbase Pro has been polite and helpful, easy to understand.

The modules are also set out very clearly, and there is a lot of content to get through so I had to put aside plenty of time per week to study it.

I would say that I found a large part of the course is dedicated to folks who are new to the world of marketing and SEO, and that would be a good to set the right foundations for those new to those concepts. I was pleased to find more advanced hacks in those areas, and I'm still working through the course, so looking forward to setting up my Fan Funnel.

We signed up for this course because we got back into professional music after a 20 year break which means that we left the business just before the internet became a huge thing. We were interested to learn about all the options that Social Media and YouTube offer to build a fanbase, get your music out there and eventually even earn some money with it. This course has helped us a great deal: the bite-sized information videos are helpful and thoroughly build a deep understanding of how the different platforms work and how to optimise your content to help create a fanbase. We have seen constant growth across our platforms through implementing the strategies - nothing crazy, but solid growth and high-quality followeres, i.e. people in our niche that we can make meaningful connections with. The course is extensive and time-intensive and if you work a day job it will take quite a while to work through it and actual financial results will not appear instantly (we're still not there yet), but you should definitely see improvements and just generally feel more self-assured around the different platforms and how to handle them and move more confidently through today's music business. Tobias' approach is unusually holistic, which means he doesn't only cover ad strategies, but he also guides you through developing your artist and brand identity, so it's really a complete artist development strategy, not just a course on how to monetize your music on social platforms. As with all of the courses out there, you will partly get out-of-date information due to the rapid changes on the platforms. While there was definitely some out-of-date content, we had the feeling that the team is working constantly to keep the course as updated as possible. The weekly live calls are a nice addition to the service, the few we could attend so far certainly were helpful, there is always enough time for everyone who has a question to ask it.

As someone who is also a fingerstyle guitarist and has been following Tobias for a while, my experience with the FanbasePro team has been great!! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is desiring to make a living off of their music or brand.

The greatest part about it is the room that they give in the material for application. Meaning... the different aspects of marketing learned in this course can be taken and used in other areas outside of just music.

Along with the fluidness of the course in how the information is able to be taken and used in the individual's own context, is the artist's ability to grow in the process.

Growth only happens when challenges are set and struggles are fought through. Not that this course is a struggle or a fight, but any amount of success requires determination and patience. What the FanbasePro team does is challenge you to put yourself out there and give you direction and guidance as to how and in what way.

In the end, everything is what you make it. The desired end result always takes a great deal of hard work... but with the FanbasePro team, you're able to take that hard work and use it in the most efficient way possible that gets you to the other side the quickest. 10/10 recommend FanbasePro!

My reason for the four-star rating is transparency. Nobody gives a perfect score on anything. And if they do, nobody thinks it's real. So, I'd rather be honest and say there is room for improvement in the area of checking in on participants and asking them how things with the program are going.

For the last decades, gigs have been my main source of income from my music.
