I attended Richard Dawkins – Genes and the Meaning of Life at the Barbican, promoted by How To Academy and apparently produced in association with Fane. I booked to hear Dawkins discuss science, evolution and the themes of the event, but felt the host, Nihal Arthanayake, repeatedly pulled the conversation into overtly political territory, including references to Brexit, Trump, Thatcherism and Reform’s local election gains.

That may suit a political event, but it felt misplaced here and distracted from the advertised subject. Disappointing hosting for what should have been a fascinating evening.

I was treated to meet and greet tickets to a show through Fane. They failed to advise the meet and greet time was pre show. Nothing on the tickets only the show time so missed it. Found an email after the event from them in the junk folder sent the night before. Very disappointed

I bought tickets from Fane as a treat for my wife's birthday. When we attended the event at the time shown on the tickets we were advised by theatre staff that the event had already started, half an hour before the time shown on our tickets. I contacted Fane and they accepted the error but offered no recompense as we had attended the show, even though we missed 30 minutes of it, and had the embarrassment of disturbing fellow audience members as we entered late.

Used Fane for tickets and the experience was good throughout. No issues.
