We used Fantastic Clean to complete an end-of-tenancy clean for our unit, and unfortunately the service was far from fantastic.

The quality of the clean was poor and did not justify the high cost. When we inspected the property, many areas were no different to how they were prior to the clean, with multiple sections still dirty and unaddressed. In the end, I had to complete much of the cleaning myself.

We raised our concerns in good faith and requested to pay only for the services that were actually delivered. Instead of working toward a reasonable resolution, Raj refused to cooperate and became rude, aggressive, and threatening in his communication, which was extremely unprofessional.

The company promotes a business model based on transparency, yet there was little transparency around their inability to deliver the standard of service expected from a professional cleaning company.

Overall, this was a disappointing experience. I would not recommend this service, save your money and use a different cleaner.

Do not use Fantastic Clean / Hire Tradies (their trading name). Raj’s services were extremely poor, and he was rude and very difficult to deal with. After completing a terrible job, we requested that Raj return to fix the issues or provide a refund, which he refused.

After numerous attempts to resolve the matter—many of which were ignored or denied—we had no choice but to take the issue to the Disputes Tribunal. The independent Tribunal referee ordered Raj to refund $419 of the $474 paid (over 80% of the total cost), which reflects the standard of his work.

Throughout the process, Raj was aggressive and attempted to intimidate us by claiming he had photos and videos of the work, which were never provided. This appeared to be a tactic to discourage us from pursuing a complaint. Even after the Tribunal ordered him to make payment, he remained difficult to communicate with, continued to be rude, and never apologised or acknowledged any of the issues with his work.

We are leaving this review because we believe others should be warned, and hopefully Raj has learnt a lesson from the Tribunal process.

Fantastic service! The team arrived on time and did an amazing job with our end of tenancy clean. Every corner was spotless — even the oven and windows looked brand new. Professional, friendly, and great attention to detail. Highly recommend them for anyone needing a perfect move-out clean!

This company is a scam.
I requested window cleaning inside and out, professional carpet clean, ceiling clean, oven and cupboard clean. This was for a moving out clean.
Cost just under $1000.
1 guy rocked up, worked for about 4 hours then left.
Didn't clean the windows properly, only vacuumed the carpet, didn't bother cleaning the bathroom didn't mop downstairs. I had to redo everything. Biggest waste of time and money,

Staff os helpfull and experienced

This was a waste of time. We paid a huge amount for an end of tenancy clean, plus extras such as carpets, oven, wall wash, inside kitchen cupboards etc. The first attempt was terribly unsatisfactory with basic cleaning not completed. Toilets were dirty, grime still in showers, marks on walls, inside cupboards hadn't been touched etc. We complained and Raj was unapologetic but quick to offer a second clean as part of their 72 hour guarantee. The second attempt was no better and at this point we hired a different cleaning company to complete the job. When we requested a partial refund from Fantastic Cleans, Raj continued to cite their 72 hour guarantee and as we were now outside this window they could not offer any refund or remedy. This was despite the bond not being returned which is also advertised as part of their 'guarantee'. Hugely expensive mistake using this company, they have no pride in their brand or quality of work.

We were really disappointed with the service we got from Fantastic Clean in Christchurch. We'd been let down by another company so booked Fantastic Clean to come and do an end of tenancy Clean the day before our handover. It was made clear that this was last minute and there would be no time for a do-over. The cleaning was sub standard: walls had marks and cobwebs, doors and door frames were not wiped, outside windows not cleaned despite paying more for this service, floors were mopped but the edges and corners weren't touched. We had to go in and do another 2 hours cleaning ourselves after they had been. We took photos and complained but we're told it was company policy to re-do cleaning rather than give a partial refund. As there was no time for a re-clean we were just supposed to accept the poor job. I wouldn't recommend this company unless you want to be out of pocket and end up doing the job yourselves.

This company is a scam, paid for the carpet cleaning service didn't show up the first time, re-arrange the appointment and didn't show up again, once the payment went through from the credit card company, they stopped answering phone calls and text messages.
If you want to get scammed and waste your time this is the place for you.
