Incredible service
Incredible service - snapped a chain cycling in Hyde park - called the shop, walked the bike too them and they fitted chain and did basic checks and I pedalled away 20mins later. Friendly, skilled and a real help

Fettle. Full Faff bike repair
I booked my bike into the Cardiff Fettle workshop for some straightforward work: replacing the gear cables and setting up the disc brakes. The booking process allowed me to provide details of both the bike and the work required, so I expected that if there were any issues, they would be identified before I brought the bike in.
After dropping the bike off, I received a message the following day saying they couldn’t complete the work because they didn’t have the necessary tools. The mechanic offered to complete the gear cable replacement and then deliver the bike to another shop that could carry out the remaining work.
Unfortunately, after that, communication virtually stopped. Nine days passed with no meaningful updates, and it eventually became clear that nothing had actually been done. After ten days, the bike was finally delivered to another bike shop, who completed the remaining work within a matter of hours.
Fettle charged £80 for replacing the gear cables on a road bike—a job that still took ten days to complete—and I was told this was a reduced price because of the problems I’d experienced.
My first impression of the workshop wasn’t great either. I arrived at the advertised opening time but had to wait around 30 minutes for the shop to open. Inside, the workshop looked untidy, with clutter and empty Coke cans lying around, which didn’t inspire confidence.
The concept behind Fettle is good, but in my experience the execution fell well short. If you’re offering a professional bike repair service, you need to ensure workshops have the tools to carry out the work they accept, keep customers updated, and use the app as the primary communication channel rather than relying on text messages.
Overall, this was a frustrating experience that took far longer than it should have. The second bike shop completed the outstanding work in just a few hours, highlighting how avoidable the delays were.

Excellent customer service
Flexible, friendly, communicative and well priced! My bike rides basically as new, and they talked me through the options for replacement parts. Really grateful for Andrew sorting my bike out in 2 days despite needing to order new parts.

Great experience with Fettle for my…
Great experience with Fettle for my bike service. Communication was excellent throughout. They kept me updated at every stage so I always knew what was happening. Turnaround was quick, which made a big difference as I needed the bike back in a hurry. Pricing was fair and transparent, with no hidden surprises on the final bill. What really stood out was the after-care support. They were happy to answer follow-up questions and made sure everything was running smoothly and quickly resolved a small issue. Would definitely recommend and will be using them again for future servicing.

Knowledgeable high standard of work
Knowledgeable high standard of work on e-bike. Picking the bike up and dropping off worked well with clear updated tracking. There was a minor issue after they dropped off the bike but they came the next day and sorted no problem. Would highly recommend.
