Having both bought and sold equipment from Ffordes in the past, I contacted them regarding the possible sale of my Olympus Pen F camera.
I was given various options to sell it and opted for a commission sale.
I'm happy to say that the sale went through very smoothly and I achieved at leat £150 more than quotes from other companies.
I cannot recommend them highly enough and look forward to dealing with them again in the future.

So many aspects of Ffordes lead me to awarding 5-stars. from the overall look of their web pages, the range of items- from which to select, to the ease of selection and payment (and I have to say here that their prices are extremely attractive), right through to delivery of the purchase. Simply put, everything is done in order to ensure the customer gets the best level of customer service not just once but every time and for me I cannot think of going anywhere but to Ffordes; what's not to like? What an incredible photography workshop from start to finish at Reraig forest. The knowledge, guidance and hands-on experience provided throughout the day was outstanding, and the passion behind it all really showed.
Getting the chance to experience riding in an Argocat for the first time was definitely a highlight and added something really unique to the whole adventure. It was such a well organised, welcoming and inspiring experience, and I came away having learned so much.

Brilliant service! I bought a used camera as a present. It worked perfectly when it arrived, but by the time I gave it as a gift a month later, the battery had died from sitting in the box. I emailed them, and although batteries aren't usually covered, they were super helpful and sent me a spare one in the post. Great company that genuinely looks after you!

I sold a range of equipment through Ffordes on commission. The collect courier service was excellent, the condition assessment and valuation was very fair and administration and payment excellent. Top marks guys.

Had never heard of them prior to searching for a 2nd hand Sony 135mm f1.8 which they had. Very fair price with a description that was wholly accurate and actually under sold how great the condition was. Lens arrived when they said it would and was extremely well packaged. It was also in outstanding condition - could have passed for new. All in, fantastic experience and glad I’m aware of them - I’ll be purchasing again without hesitation.

I purchased a pre-owned Leica M4-2 body from Ffordes and the camera is in lovely cosmetic condition and works very well. Delivery was next day with tracking details provided.

Sony lens delivered as described and quickly very well packaged. Even the lens case was included which wasn't mentioned in the description which was a bonus. I've used this company before and the service has for me been excellent. Thank you all at Ffordes.

Ffordes gave realistic condition and cost evaluations of one camera body and three lenses that I wished to sell, and sold all by commission in a few weeks. They provided detailed statements about the condition of the equipment, and gave honest and clear statements when advertising the items. The prices they achieved were highly satisfactory for me. So I can strongly recommend this service.

I've just been over to drop off some equipment that I'm not using enough, and once again had a quick, sensible checkover of the kit and a prompt price for the commission sale. I've bought both new and used equipment from them, film and digital, as well as selling through them and in both directions the service has been exemplary. Helpful explanations, good suggestions, and patience with me asking stupid questions. I can trust the condition of the items that I buy, so it's rare for me to look anywhere else.

My experience with this company has been extremely positive and I would highly recommend Ffordes photography.
I have recent experience of buying both new and used photographic gear and also selling used equipment through Ffordes. All elements of this have been helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.

What has triggered me writing a review though, is when Ffordes have stepped-in following a manufacturing fault (on a new camera). Chris dealt with my query and on the same day even delivered a replacement to my home on his way back from work.

Thank goodness I didn’t buy this camera through one of the large and faceless suppliers, as I would still be trying to sort out the problem months later. Top marks to Ffordes for good old fashioned customer service, (not often experience elsewhere).

I sent an email enquiry regarding lens advice & received a v friendly, prompt response with several options.
I purchased a Canon EF 100-400 mm f/4:5-5.6L IS USM for an amazing price, delivered next day. Came with original case, box & lens hood.
Fantastic, knowledgeable & friendly cant recommend highly enough. Will definitely use again & recommend to all my birding friends. Love to use small independent businesses 😬👍
Incidentally, I did contact several of the big names initially, for advice, & had no response from any!!

I have occasionally used Ffordes to sell photo equipment for some years now. I have found Ffordes’ service to be faultless and have enabled me to sell items much more easily than via online auction sites. I seldom respond to requests by businesses for a review but Ffordes are an exception. I happily give the company full marks.
