Feildroutes promotes some great features but it's a nightmare
I have been in business for 30 years and decided to upgrade my software to something with a lot of extra features. Fieldroutes has some great features but I had too many issues with it and had to switch. First, this software is difficult to learn. It uses different terminology and functions completely different than any other software used to manage a service company. If you try to use "common sense" to navigate or enter information, you will never figure it out. After using fieldroutes for only three months my accounts receivable was higher than I ever had in 30 years of business. Invoices wouldn't send, payment links wouldn't work, or invoices arrived 6 weeks after sending. I tried to have a custom form added to my account. Customer service told me it was impossible because of the layout. (The new company i switched to after fieldroutes had it done in 48 hours.) Customer communication was impossible to figure out. I would send an email or paperwork but never knew who was getting it or if they would get it. The moble app could record a lot of information during a service visit, but the layout was so confusing I had to quit using it. The app slowed me down to the point i couldn't finish my routes. I requested to have my invoice numbering changed because the numbering caused an issue with a client with whom i submit 40 invoices per month. Customer service said it was impossible to change. If you submit a service ticket, you will hear back in about a month so if it's an urgent matter too bad. There's no number to call or point of contact, just send a ticket through their site and wait. In order to use fieldroutes, I had to sign a three year agreement. In order to cancel after only 3 months of use, I had to pay the full amount of the 3 year contract. Fieldroutes will sell you on their great features, but in my case, if i continued to use their software it would have destroyed my service business. I wouldn't recommend using them.
