240 mois d'amortissement a une personne de 82 ans!

Je souhaite partager une expérience très préoccupante concernant un financement accordé par Financeit.
Un contrat de près de 24 752 $ a été mis en place au nom de ma mère, âgée de 82 ans, pour une thermopompe.
Le problème est grave :
• aucune signature de sa part au dossier
• aucun consentement éclairé
• elle ne comprenait pas les termes du financement
• le contrat s’étale sur 20 ans avec un taux d’intérêt élevé (~13 %) jusqu'à ses 102 ans!!!!
Nous avons découvert la situation après coup.
À notre avis, les vérifications de base n’ont pas été faites pour s’assurer que la personne consentait réellement à un engagement financier aussi important, surtout considérant son âge.
Cette situation soulève des inquiétudes sérieuses concernant :
• la protection des personnes âgées
• les pratiques de validation des contrats
Je recommande à toute personne, et particulièrement aux familles avec des aînés, d’être extrêmement vigilante avant d’accepter un financement via cette plateforme.

The amount of hassle we have to go through for requesting funds is a lot. Our cost to complete the project is 70% to 75%, while we get 10% upfront and 15% after work has started. It really is a big hurdle in our growth - very hard to keep the sales team happy and cash flow stable. I would very much appreciate it if they looked at our history and financial statements - it would be very much appreciated if we got 50% upfront and 50% on completion.

Sales rep and office were great to deal with. Mostly dealt with the rep which is more comfortable because we speak with them often. Josh is our rep, he is knowledgeable and patient with questions or concerns.

Be Careful !!

Be Careful of the the way they do business. I will never deal with them again. They do not warn you via email about payement until they collect one months interest.

Mon expérience a été très décevante

Mon expérience a été très décevante. Nous avions convenu d’un terme de 24 mois sans intérêts, mais lors de la signature, on m’a imposé un financement sur 10 ans, et les calculs ont été faits sur cette base plutôt que sur les conditions discutées. J’ai eu l’impression que l’information fournie au départ n’était pas transparente.
Je ne recommande pas ce service, car les conditions réelles ne correspondaient pas à ce qui avait été présenté.

Scamming Liars. You will never get truthful information about your account. They lie about late payments and payments not received. All of the responses they post here are nonsense to trick people into huge debt. Save your sanity and get your loan somewhere else. Absolute garbage company.

Read the fine print very carefully

Read the fine print very carefully…I was tricked into purchasing loan protection insurance, by Finance It. It wasn’t an explicit option but included automatically. You wouldn’t know unless you again, read the fine print Very carefully.
Cancelling the Loan protection insurance has taken 3 months and is still not resolved. The loan protection insurance is through First Canadian insurance. The loan is now paid off with Finance It, but I have withheld the amount for the Loan Protection Insurance ($2400) This amount should be refunded by First Canadian Insurance as agreed upon by them months ago. I am still waiting for the cancellation/refund (3+months) on the remaining $2400 meanwhile paying heavy interest while I wait for them to simply refund the insurance as agreed upon.
Both companies are exactly what you would expect from a “loan shark”.Stay away unless you want to get ripped off.

Loan protection insurance is an optional product that is provided by a third-party insurer, First Canadian Insurance, and it is outlined in the loan process for customers to review and accept before finalizing their agreement. That said, we understand how important clarity and transparency are, and we regret that your experience has left you feeling otherwise.

With respect to the cancellation and refund, insurance cancellations and related refunds are processed directly by the insurer and can sometimes take time depending on the status of the policy and the information required. Bunch of thieves.supposed to be the same payment for 20 years.after two years payments went up 40$ .made 2 of the higher payments then the next one more than doubled .30,000$ loan will end up costing double that. Go clean energy sold me this shit then went under so one will service the shit and apparently the warranty is also shit. I will be spreading this message all over the internet.COCKSUCKERS

Lien on our house for a loan paid off 7 years ago!

We had a FinanceIt loan in 2016 for furnace/air/water heater. We paid it off 2019 and I have the email from FinanceIt to prove it. Fast forward to 2026 and we sold our house. Our lawyers checked for liens and there's one on our house from FinanceIt. Our lawyer and I have been going in circles for two weeks with customer service email and phone line. We can't get anywhere because our email addresses changed in the last 7 years, imagine that, on an account that's paid off! There are no other ways to get through and they ignored the letter of authorization that I wrote for our lawyer that FinanceIt asked for!!! Pulling out my hair!
MY TAKE ON FINANCEIT'S REPLY: I was only able to resolve this issue because I lucked out and got a message thru to a random person at FinanceIt who took pity on me when I pleaded with him not to refer me again to your so-called customer service (shout out to Ethan). Your comment about the change in our contact information is a strawman; we had no reason to update you on our details when the loan was closed. Who would do that? The crux of it is, you have a deeply flawed "help" system that relies on a single piece of information, the email address, in order for customer to access assistance. I definitely got the feeling that your company actually works hard to ensure that customers CAN'T reach you . The main, and still unaddressed issue, is that there was still a lien on our house 8 years after a loan closed. Anyone considering a loan with FinanceIt should beware. No wonder the Better Business Bureau gives you one star.
