Alex really took an amazing approach in helping me with with a very unique situation regarding retirement planning as a US Expat in Germany. I admit it: I'm no expat, but rather as German potato as it gets.

Nevertheless, Alex proved to be the first consultant that actually suggested us to cancel certain insurances that were no longer fitting to our personal needs and lifestyle and only recommended meaningful new ones. There was never any pressure, just an honest discussion about risks and preferences.

He also can claim the honor of managing to set up a pension plan for my wife, which I was never able to during 13 years of partnership (he insists though that he's no marriage counselor ;) ).

From the first contact I had with Alex via email, I knew that he was the person that I wanted to talk to about my financial planning and pension options in Germany. I first read about Lomee in a blog about financial advisors for immigrants in Germany in English.
Alex has a very easy way to make first contact, so I decided to go ahead.
He's taken the time and patience to answer my questions and help me understand about flexible pensions, and ultimately help me be more informed and make a better decision about what, when, with whom and so on.
In the past I've spoked with a couple other financial advisers that present themselves very well, but in reality don't have the interest to share the information necessary to make such an impactful decision, even when they know it will have a big impact in life and hopefully will be fruitful in the future.
In my experience, Alex is aware of this and the more I want to understand, the more he's open to find information and examples I can understand.

Finance is always a big part of adulthood responsibility, although sadly not everyone is good at it. And I found myself very intimidated with the amount of information I had to sift through and to decide what I wanted to do.
