Contacting Finlux in the UK Impossible

To contact Finlux in the UK I was advised on their web site to phone Vestel in Langley, Berkshire
Vestel manufactures the TV`s in Turkey
I Called the number and after a wait for ages you then get a recording to advising you to submit an Enquiry form on-line on the Finlux web page
Seems as though you cannot talk to anyone.
I submitted the form to get no response

Had my Finlux tv 8 years and love it

Had my Finlux tv 8 years and is brilliant, sound not great but add a soundbar, mine is 40 inch and was sound on sound tv of the year, nice chrome centre consul that swivels, been a nice tv.

Do not buy

TV stopped working after 2 years… can’t update software as it doesn’t work… I bought hitachi and I received also usb stick with software update in a case of any troubles… can finlux do the same ? Of course not

LED Backlight tend to fail after 1-2 years.

Finlux is the brand name for Vestel manufactured TVs which, unfortunately in my experience, tend to have break just after 1-2 years. (Ive had 2, and both had LED backlight failures at the 2 year mark. This means a black screen but you can hear the sound.) One was actually badged as a JVC TV. Lesson to self, don't buy cheap TVs anymore ! (My friends TVs tend to last many years !)

Bought 32” tv poor quality for the…

Bought 32” tv poor quality for the price compared with the competition who provide really good tv at cheaper prices.
The audio socket on rear of tv broke 0n second week of use and on contacting manufacturers I was informed it was caused by misuse and the would not replace or repair . So now I have had to use glue & tape to hold in place
Would not recommend this brand to anyone

In time, you will regret buying Finlux

I would have given zero stars if I could. Sound is diabolical, like an old transistor radio. The picture is ok but nothing special. The build quality is appalling. I bought mine less than 2 years ago, and the pixels are already failing. I wrote to finlux but they were no help at all. There are much better choices out there for a similar price; so leave Finlux well alone!!!
If you want peace of mind when buying your audio/visual, head over to Richer Sounds as they give you a free 6 year parts and labour guarantee, AND sell only quality stuff!!

Buy cheap buy twice

Get what you pay for. Brought a 4k finflix TV on the cheap as my old telly broke. 3 years later major screen burn. Has been used everyday but I've had TVs before this that have lasted atleast 7 years before showing any wear. Poor quality speakers although not a deal breaker had to buy a sound bar as it was really terrible. My honestly opinion save am extra 100 quid to get a Samsung or lg. It'll last twice as long and in the long run be cheaper as you don't have to but two TVs. Smart TV is slow laggy. YouTube for some reason shows videos in a small box. Even my remote didn't last long the battery holder keeps coming off. Buy cheap buy twice. Just don't do it. I regret it now as I don't have the money for a new TV and I'm stuck with it. If only I spent a bit more when I had the cash.

I baught the 32 smart TV for my son for Christmas we put it up and tried to set it up it won't let us connect to the internet or let us do anything! I rang them up I done the reset as they advised me to still did not work. I rang up the 2nd time to be on the phone for 45 minuites for the man to then say the TV does not want to connect to it! And to just keep on trying my son was made up to get a TV for Christmas and now he crnt even use it!! Money wasted down the drain for a single parent trying to make their son happy! Which obv didn't work out that way. I am not happy at all.

Wouldn't buy a Finlux again

Wouldn't buy a Finlux again. Bought our TV 3yrs ago and it has completely died, won't switch on at all. It was a spare bedroom TV so very little use, really don't expect a TV to last just 3yrs, very poor.

Bought a 50" TV in Nov 2015

Bought a 50" TV in Nov 2015. It has not had daily use or anything like it. A shadow appeared in top right hand corner. Took photo and sent it to Finlux. They advised it was backlight failing (an independent TV engineer confirmed it was the LEDs) and not worth repairing. Outside of Warranty so there was nothing they could do. I pointed out The Consumer Rights Act 2015 (is the TV fit for purpose as I would expect a £388 TV to last more than 2.5 yrs with limited use) and their reply was
"If this is how you feel and you wish to invoke your consumer rights then it is not taken up with us please get in contact with small claims if you wish to pursue further as we as a company have offered everything we can do for you "...in other words "we're not interested". Worst customer service I've ever known.

Two years and now dead!!

TV completely useless as i purchased to find that there was issues with fast moving video unable to keep up and jumping picture. I had the tv replaced and now after two years of ownership the tv is completely knackered!

Nice looking but by far the worst quality tv i have ever owned!! An awful lot of money for two years use!!!

Doesnt work at all. Unable to connect to netflix, crashes. Had to do factory reset multiple times. Stay away from finlux!

Had a tv for 3 years

Had a tv for 3 years, hardly used it and it's packed up. I used to rave about finlux but no help from them and an extortionate engineers rate (almost as much as the tv) they're gonna get a bad name now.

Worst experience ever. I now have no TV

Terrible. I bought a 42" tv from here and I wished I hadn't. It's never worked properly. The guide is ridiculously slow to load, if it loads at all - spend most of the time looking at blacked out tv programs trying to guess what's on next. Remote just doesn't like the tv, it sometimes works after waving it around, taking off the battery cover and holding down the batteries, sometimes. Couldn't get the record function to work with the USB, useless and the HDMIs were temperamental. It got worse (less than a year old) so I decided to contact finlux. That was 5-6 weeks ago. The contractors they deal with are worse than useless. Eventually spoke to someone who arranged the tv to be collected on the Friday and taken to be 'fixed'. I waited all day Friday and no one came. Rang the number for the contractors and the same person answered. I told him I was waiting on for a collection and immediately he said "uh oh.. ohh k just bare with me I'll give him a call and see where they are". He hadn't even asked my name or any details and by his immediate response it was apparent there was a problem that he wasn't telling me about. He put me on hold, came back after a few minutes and said the couriers would ring me with an eta. I asked him if he wants my number, but he said no they have it they'll call you in 5-10 minutes and put the phone down. Did they ring me? No. Did they turn up? Course not. Tried to ring back but no answer. I was furious. Friday evening, my tv was packed away, I couldn't get it out because I am disabled and someone had had to come and help me pack it (and it weighs an absolute tonne) so I had to leave it in the box until I finally sorted out collection the following week. That was extremely stressful and another day of phone calls and faffing.

After initially contacting them in April and now weeks of having no tv, I contacted Finlux to see where my tv was. I got an email response on 19th May to say a part had been ordered and I should get a call in the next 1-2 working days to let me know what's going on. It's now 4th June. I've heard nothing. I've been without a TV for about 6 weeks, which is appalling considering I am chronically ill and house bound, which I told them when I first reported the problem months ago and on several occasions since. I'm so not up to dealing with all this I could cry. The TV was useless, the customer service has been even worse than the TV.. if you think you're getting a good deal and saving a few quid by buying from Finlux, think again. There is a good reason they are cheap. It's false economy and I wish I'd never set eyes on them. Of all the TVs I've had in my life, never have I had such a poor performance and poor customer service as I have with Finlux. I wish I could say I never have to deal with them again but someone somewhere still has my TV and to leave a house bound person, particularly, in this position is shameful. To be quite honest I would just like a refund so I can put this terrible experience behind me. I'll be escalating it further. I hope no one else has to experience this.

Yes it was supposedly replaced with a 'new' tv which is even slower to load than the last one. You basically have to guess what's on as the guide is in the majority, blacked out. I've been far too unwell to go through the performance of returning this again, the last time was so stressful, then I was without a tv for 6 weeks and being house bound, isn't what you'd call ideal at all. I was told I could not have a refund. So I guess I'm stuck with it. I wish I'd bought a decent brand, it's just false economy. I'm really not well enough to go through all the back and forth emails, pointless routine checks and waiting for phone calls that don't come. I certainly can't get the monstrosity back in the box and down the stairs to return it for a second time. I haven't even tried to plug anything into the back yet, mainly because I'm not physically able to but I wouldn't be surprised if it had the same problems as the last one, or even if it is the same tv disguised in a 'new' box. As I've said from the beginning, this isn't acceptable by any standards and at this point I'd only be satisfied with a hassle free collection and full refund, but due to past experience, I'm not holding my breath.
