We hired one bus from First Student to take guests to and from a rehearsal dinner on Friday and 3 buses the next day for the wedding. Every time I called with questions or to manage times they were polite, friendly and promptly made the changes and followed up in writing. The day before I received a phone call and text from Mark leaving me his cell number if there were any issues and also giving me the name and cell numbers of all our drivers which were John, Francisco and Kathy. All the drivers were polite and took there time with the guests loading and loading and made sure they didn't leave anyone behind. There service was fantastic and I would highly recommend them.

We used First Charter Bus Rental's for our wedding transportation on February 17, 2024 - they were so easy to work with and gave us A+ service. They were early, the drivers were so friendly and the communication was awesome. I would highly recommend! Also, a few days before the wedding I received a phone call from Mark who was out of the Neptune City branch a few days before our wedding to confirm details - he was so organized, let me know the drivers name and gave me his phone number should we need absolutely anything - all around, incredible customer service, friendly staff and amazing service overall!

First Charter was amazing!! I booked them for my November 2023 wedding in the Asbury Park area and needed a somewhat complicated route schedule for two buses. They were SO easy to work with leading up to my wedding every step of the way. I had to change timing many times and they were so accommodating and kind every time. On the day of, my wedding party was behind schedule and our driver was both patient, fun, safe, AND still managed to get back for her second pickup pretty close to the originally scheduled time! Everything went flawlessly which was so important to me as making sure my guests had safe transportation to-and-from my wedding was the most important thing to me. First Student Charter played such a big part in making our wedding day perfect and stress-free.

The worlds WORST company. You book them, and will never hear from them again. You'll call and always leave your number for a call back- will never get one. You will email, but will never get a reply back. I'm not sure how they function as a business. As for you reading this- I would run, and not walk, away from this company. I don't see how they can be trusted with your momentous occasion. I live in NJ. I hired them for a weekend private affair. You don't return calls or emails, so this is the ONLY way I can tell you......YOU'RE FIRED.

Bus was clean and well-maintained. Driver was kind, friendly and on-time.

Everything made this a seamless easy process from booking to confirming to paying. The driver was patient with the stragglers, was an excellent driver and got us to and from our venue with no issues.

Awesome job, they did exactly what we needed, they were on time, easy to plan with, and we’re very accommodating! I would highly recommend hiring them for anyone looking for transportation (in our case a shuttle to and from our wedding in Neptune, NJ).
I learned 3 things reading other reviews that I want to share with anyone on the fence about this company, if you do these you will have no problems - 1. If you need to book or reach the call center try at 8AM and there will usually be no wait. 2. You need to ensure you get a second email with a confirmation that the request has been matched with a bus depot (if you see other reviews that says they didn’t show up, my guess is there was not a confirmation email) 3. Call the “day of number” on the confirmation about a week before to confirm details with the bus depot manager. Then you’ll be all set and taken care of!

Patty was on time and did a great job driving a bus full of loud party kids. Would highly recommend and would definitely use again

They were early for pick up. They could communicate a little bit more. Send a text when they are on there way with an eta would be a great help. Driver was courteous!!

Lynn was amazing! Super sweet, prompt, professional, accommodating, and was complimented on her driving by the truck drivers on our bus! Highly recommend these services and will definitely be booking again!

We used FirstStudent for our Church tubing trip. Very fairly priced and on time. Drivers were friendly. We will use them again in the future.

There was an emergency and we were standing outside in the cold. We called the bus driver multiple times to come pick us up (like 30 on different phones) and no answer. So a few people had to spend money on cabs and ubers even though we just spent $631 on this bus. There was an emergency and she failed us.

First Charter is first class. We called multiple times before our wedding to make alterations to the schedule and they were accommodating and so nice. The day before the coordinator called to review the details and work through everything. I cannot recommend this service enough. Professional, perfect service, and friendly!
