I normally book all my own travel, but because I was pregnant and wanted to make sure everything was done properly for our first long haul trip with an infant, I decided to use Flight Centre. Massive mistake.

Our brief was pretty easy, book us return flights to Canada with our 3 month old and lock in the bulkhead seats with the extra leg room where a bassinet can be attached. My partner is 6'3" so the legroom and bassinet were non negotiable for a 14 hour flight. We literally gave the agent a 6 week window of flexibility just to guarantee we got those seats, and he assured me multiple times that he checked and everything was locked in.

Fast forward to after my son was born. I called to add his details to the booking, only to find out the agent didn't even book the bassinet seats. To make it worse, he sat my partner and me apart, and completely messed up our seats for the flight home too. By this stage our whole trip was booked around these dates so we couldn't change flights, and all the bassinet seats were gone.

The customer service after that was a joke. The only time I got an update was if I took time out of my day to chase them up, I had to reach out 4 times just to get any response. Nobody offered alternatives or upgrade options, I had to be the one asking for everything.

Two weeks out from the trip with nothing fixed, I raised a dispute which was a total waste of time.

When I asked them to release my booking so I could handle it myself, they refused.

It also took 6 weeks and constant chasing just to get my refund issued for the extra leg room seats that we didn’t get.

When I spoke to the store manager, Andrea, she took zero accountability and actually tried telling me that "airlines separate families all the time" instead of admitting Flight Centre dropped the ball.

To top it off, they gave us a $400 voucher. What am I supposed to do with that? To use it I'd have to book with them again, giving them even more of my money.

You’d expect people whose actual job this is to get it right, but they were completely useless .

I understand mistakes happen and to be honest if they had customer service that took accountability, communicated proactively, and actually tried to fix their error instead of leaving me to chase them down, I wouldn't even be writing this.

To give you an idea of how they talk to you after completely ruining your booking, this was the last thing I received from their disputes department (mind you, our seats remain exactly the same and they changed nothing): “While we regret that you remain dissatisfied, we believe we have responded to and addressed your concerns regarding the seating on multiple occasions. As such, this will be our final correspondence on this matter.”

We are currently on our trip, but our flight home from Canada in a few weeks still isn't resolved. We wanted to try upgrading our seats ourselves, which is why I asked them to release the booking in the first place, but they flat out refused. I've been told someone from the store will contact me with upgrade options, but I highly doubt that'll happen. Getting any kind of service from them requires you to follow up over and over, and even then it proves completely useless.

Do not waste your time they are absolutely incompetent and trust me you can do a better job yourself.

Your staff Alice Heaslip is very professional, she is kind, patient and knowledgeable. She spent time to explain different options of the journey and made me feel comfortable

This is the second holiday I have booked with Jayme. Dealing with the same person is important especially when the original experience was great. She knows her stuff and knows where to look to find updates and additional information. She is very thorough and I feel certain there will be no nasty surprises along the way. Whilst the travel is to New Zealand and probably fairly simple in itself, she made it a seamless purchase. I will continue to use her services for future travel bookings.

I felt very taken care of by Billy when I was booking my accommodation and flight. Billy listened to my needs and was very attentive during the whole process. Nam-Chi Dang was fantastic and made us feel at ease with our booking. We were a little overwhelmed due to our flight's complicated schedule with overnight stays, but Nam-Chi explained everything and provided us with options that best suited our preferences. Overall, a great service and I highly recommend booking with Nam-Chi Dang at the Westfield Upper Mt Gravatt Flight Centre.

We recently had the pleasure of dealing with Denham to arrange a lovely week long trip to Cairns. After having some issues trying to decide on a trip away Denham was able to source a great deal at Crystalbrook Bailey. He also checked up with us during the trip to ensure we were having a great time. And then, he and Tiani were also extremely helpful in sorting out an airline seating issue for us which resulted in a very quickly processed and unexpected refund. We will definitely be seeking Denham’s help to arrange more trips in the future!

Hi jayme, This is Raimundo Rodrigues. unfortunately I have to tell you that you and the staff of flight centre are very irresponsible and not strong enough to be part of this industry..
You don't really care about the clients that are going to the flight centre.
This was my first and the last time that I did business with you.
Every email we send to you took days to reply back to us.
We booked our flights with you together as a couple and all the flights that you organised, you put us in different seats, we had to be much earlier at the airports to make sure that we had the seats together. No excuses for that. This place should have the power to fix all the problems, that's way clients go there to make they holiday's easy but end up in a nightmare
6 countries, we had to asking people if it was OK for us to sit togother.
Was very painful booked the flights with a very irresponsible staff from this company.
Right now, we're very struggling to book our flights home because you didn't care about it. All the flights from Jet Star are booked today. If you did your job well, we could be home right now.
