Los Angeles santa monica is not a good restaurant. All was cold including the beef we ordered. Super rip off. I simply can't recommend the food. Bad quality. Sorry but I'm not going again

Ruined my dinner.

I wasn’t going to write a review but I was really bummed by my experience and they should know. This was my second year coming to the downtown Portland, OR location for my birthday. The previous year was great. This year not so much. Our waitress had a bad attitude. And after I told her I had a reward for my birthday she passed us off to a new waiter without saying anything. No, my shift is over, I’m going on break, I’m passing you off to my colleague, nothing. So the new guy is decent. He comes to check on us periodically. Mind you it was my friend and I, and probably like 5 other tables. It looked pretty slow but it seemed like forever between time getting checked on. So I told the second waiter it was my birthday I got my free desert but forgot to give him my reward because I told the first waitress. So when he brought my bill I told him about the reward and he told me he couldn’t adjust the bill because he already rang it up. I’ve never been to a restaurant where the bill can’t be adjusted for a customer, with rewards. I was beyond pissed. My experience with the restaurant has been tarnished. I treat myself once a year, and it cost too much not to have enjoyed myself thoroughly. It really bummed me out and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I honestly don’t see myself going back ever.

A carne é sempre espetacular

A carne é sempre espetacular, principalmente a picanha, mas no sábado à noite tava muito cheio e demorou um pouco pra ser atendido. Mesmo assim, adoro trazer a família aqui, só espero que o serviço melhore um pouquinho!

This restaurant has zero regard for customer health or safety. A few hours after eating here, I became violently ill with food poisoning. Management put on a fake display of concern and asked me to email them, which I did immediately. They then completely ignored me. No response. No follow-up. No accountability. Their silence speaks volumes. Ignoring food poisoning complaints is dangerous, irresponsible, and unacceptable. I will never return, and I strongly warn others to think twice before eating here.

I would like to formally commend JR for…

I would like to formally commend JR for the outstanding service he consistently provides at Fogo de Chão. He attended our table throughout the evening, and his service was truly exceptional. Having been served by JR on previous visits, his professionalism, attentiveness, and consistency continue to stand out.

We observed JR moving seamlessly from table to table, ensuring every guest felt welcomed and well cared for, always with poise and a genuine smile. Before we departed, he thoughtfully asked if there was anything else we might enjoy. When I mentioned cheese with honey, he immediately arranged for the gaucho to bring it to our table—an excellent example of his attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.

Our Christmas Eve dinner was made even more memorable by both the service and the food. I ordered the salmon cooked medium rare, and it was prepared perfectly—delicious and expertly done. The salad bar, while consistent, offers all the essentials and is always fresh and well maintained.

We dine at this location at least three times a week and have never been disappointed. The consistency in service and quality is commendable, and JR’s dedication truly enhances the dining experience.

Thank you, JR, for your exceptional service and for making every visit so enjoyable.

Birthday Disappointment Stay Clear Nashville

I was looking forward to bringing my family to Fogo de Chao for my birthday on November 19. We had reservations at 6:30 and restaurant was full of patrons and I believe they were understaffed and their servers had zero experience waiting on people. We were 4 people that ordered the market place bar and the churasco. My wife ordered Fish and shrimp. The fish was dry and the shrimp was absolutely frozen, no taste . She left it all. We waited for the meat to arrive, 10-15 minutes, when they came there were left over on the skewers. At one point one sausage was cut up into 3 pieces! the same raw undercooked meat was paraded around 3 times. Thank goodness for the market place. We filled up with lentil soup and salad. We spent 500 for this. The steak is better at golden corral. Don’t waste your money on this location. I always had great meals at Rodizio and Texas de Brazil. I was recently in Orlando and that Fogo de Chao was run well. Management in Nashville has reached out to me promising gift certificates to make things right and give them another shot. I still have yet to receive them. Also my daughter left her purse , spoke to manager and he said it would be there the next day. When she showed up they couldn’t care less about helping her. She had to make a scene in order to get it back. If I were the owners of Fogo de Chao I would get competent management from another location to retrain them. Their only saving grace is that their in Nashville and It’s all transient business. I live in Franklin and will not return. I have photos and videos of this awful experience.

Unprofessional Experience

We came to Fogo for a friend’s birthday celebration and were extremely disappointed by the service and attitude of the staff. We were seated for over an hour before anyone came by with meat. When we asked for medium-well, we waited another 20 minutes — still nothing.

I eventually called the manager over to explain that we had been waiting for an hour and a half with no food being served. Her response was shockingly unprofessional — the very first thing she said was, “Well, maybe because you asked for halal or kosher meat.” I was stunned. We had never made such a request, and when I asked why she would assume that, she glanced at my friend wearing a hijab and said, “Oh, I just assumed.”

That kind of assumption and stereotyping is completely unacceptable. Not only was the service terrible, but the manager’s comment was incredibly rude, disrespectful, and discriminatory. We left feeling insulted and deeply disappointed.

I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who expects respectful service or basic professionalism.

Great introduction to Brazilian cuisine

The selection of fruits, roasted vegetables, hot items and meats is AWESOME! So many different flavors and textures that I've gone there on 3 separate occasions and all 3 were indescribably good. Service is extra attentive and they spare no efforts to serve us customers.

Very bad food experience at the Schaumburg, IL location! I got a food poisoning! Response after my complaint was, “ sorry”! That’s the worst customer service ever! Definitely will not go back there again! My associate also got sick from their food!

This is a review for the Philadelphia Fogo. Never had a bad meal here. It's gimmicky, sure, but the meat is always great. Drinks are a bit expensive, but that's to be expected considering the meal isn't at all expensive!

What A Dinner !!!

Made a 4:45 reservation (Lynnwood WA location) for Saturday 02/15/2025 & so glad. At 4:30 there was a line up at the door. The huge parking lot was packed. Spendy menu which was expected. Had the meat on a sword which ranged from very good to delish !!! Be forewarned, meat on the sword tends to become square in shape so as I ordered rare half might be medium well so a watchful eye will get the right cut. Don't hesitate to request a 're-cut'. I gave 3 stars as the wait staff became easily confused when fine tuning drink orders.
My favorite was the flank steak, least was the sausage which had way too much salt.
BTW, the salad bar was to die for, even had lox/salmon.
1 actual complaint. I want my gin n tonic in a pounder (16 oz glass, had to explain, 3 different waiters acknowledged yet still brought my drink in a fru fru glass stating this is how they serve beer. 5 stars if not for this. Maybe next time I'll order ice tea.

I really wanted to like this place but…

I really wanted to like this place but they absolutely messed up my take out order as a FIRST TIME GUEST.

I ordered the Date Night package online through their website and it was very easy to use and complete the order. The prices were as expected so when the total with tip came to about $200, I wasn't surprised.

What did surprise me was how what I ordered and what I was given was COMPLETELY INACCURATE. Firstly, I ordered the Date Night package with the bone in ribeye. They gave me filet mignon and salmon. Did they contact me and ask if they could make this change? No, they didn't. - 1⭐️

Secondly, the Date Night package comes with a bottle of wine. Did I get the wine? No, I did not. I asked for the wine when I picked up the order and was told (not by a manager) that "ABC laws won't allow them to give me" the paid for wine. Instead, they subbed a Shrimp Cocktail. Did they call before I arrived and ask if they could do that substitution? No, they did not. Instead, they subbed a much lower cost item for the wine. Also, it's not against the law to sell me a sealed bottle of wine. If it was, they shouldn't have the option on the menu and Cooper's Hawk wouldn't exist. - 1⭐️

Thirdly, I ordered extra pão de queijo. Did I get the extra bread? No, I didn't. WTF. That's really all I wanted... - 1⭐️

Overall, the food was OK, it was well packaged, and we enjoyed what we could. However, I will NEVER order take out from them again and if I have to, I will rip the bag open in the restaurant and ensure that my order is accurate BEFORE I drive an hour all the way home. The whole experience makes me not even want to dine in.

Next time, I'll just wait for Texas de Brazil to open. Never had an issue there.
