Took Money, No Communication
Ordered two stools in December, with an expected ship time of late January and early February. Emailed to say they couldn't fulfill part of the order and refunded me for one. It's about 4 months since the order was placed and I haven't refunded for the other one and charged $15 for shipping. I have reached out to the company and have not received any communication from them. Looks like their online shop is completely shut down as part of their bankruptcy.

They will not communicate with me on my incomplete order. And they have not offered any sort of solution, much less a refund. I paid for three items and did not receive them. They sent me the rest of my order, but did not acknowledge the missing paid for items. I would never order from this site!

Will NEVER SHOP THIS SITE AGAIN. Ordered leather gloves and wanted to return for larger size. Gloves cost $22. Wanted to charge me $15 to return. I will keep and warn everyone I know who shops this site to beware.
Uneven Service
First the good. This company has an array of desirable, quality products. Ordering is easy and they were quick to acknowledge my purchase.
Where they fall down is in execution. I received a message stating my order had shipped. However, a week later, the status from the shipping company still said "label created". Definitely there was a mismatch between the email that was sent and where my item actually was in their process.
The other issue is that there is NO customer service number to call. You cannot talk to a live person. The customer service chat is overseas and they have no insight into what is going on or any authority to fix it.
Stinting on customer service and failing to provide any meaningful help or troubleshooting is increasingly becoming a problem when ordering online.
Ultimately, I did receive my order and I was satisfied with the product I received. However, I would think twice about ordering again, because if there are any issues with the order, there doesn't seem to be a reasonable way to get information or a resolution.
If you are the business owner and you are reading this, please consider taking some of the money you spend on slick marketing and invest on the execution side.
Don’t bother, no customer svc, or product
Ordered bowls for my son‘s birthday present. They were delivering in a week which was fine then pushed day after day after day after day. Email and customer service is like email with a bot. I put the dispute through my bank and I got my refund. Note the phone number on the charge is out of service.
Last email I got back, said that the bowls were no longer available.
Awful customer service
Awful customer service at this site. They say they have it but the chat is a bot, there is no phone number and it takes days to get an email reply. I ordered some very expensive wooden trees made by Farmhouse Pottery and the day I received my order, I checked FP site to see if they had more in stock and I saw the trees were on sale. I immediately messaged Food52 to request a price adjustment. They didn’t reply for 2 days then said they would look into it. The next day I heard nothing so checked the site and the trees were now on sale at Food52. I messaged again and when they finally replied said the promotion was over and could not apply the discount. I do not recommend ever ordering from them - go directly to the manufacturer site and order. They are selling high end products and no service to match the prices.

I wish I had read the reviews first because I would have saved myself a lot of grief. I too had a one-star (or less) experience. One of my items, according to UPS, was damaged in shipping and returned to sender. I attempted to contact Food52 for a replacement and found that there is only a ChatBot. The imply that you can 'chat' with a representative but there is no response. They sent me an email with what I wrote and no reply, but said that it was a reply. A complete nightmare. Go straight to your credit card company who probably does have some customer service unlike these people. :(
Scam
I strongly advise anyone thinking about shopping with this company to stay away! They will take your money and never deliver the product. I placed an order months ago and never received my items. They charged me, and despite multiple attempts to contact them via email over the last three months, I’ve gotten no response. No product, no refund. This company is a scam, and I will be spreading the word on social media to warn others to avoid them at all costs!
I urge you to report them to the Better Business Bureau! It definitely matters!

Placed an order for over $300 40 days ago, was charged immediately, but it still hasn’t shipped. Sent multiple emails to cancel and refund, with no resolution achieved. Never had such a horrible experience before. I just want my money back. How this company could possibly exist?!!

Is this a scam? We reached out because we ordered 5 set cookware ceramics but received napkins in our mail from them. I contacted customer service more than a week ago and haven't heard back from them.

There was no response, so I wrote again. Now, ten days later, I have still received no communication from them. They clearly don't care about customer service and do a poor job of quality control. I even wonder if the item I received was purchased by Food52 as a second and then sold as first quality as the manufacturer is usually quite diligent.

No cancellation button on website, they require you to email them. Website says cancellation is possible if the order is not processing, but that is a clear lie. I requested a refund same night I placed the order and received a reply that it wasn't possible while my order was still 'pending'. They said only a return would get me a refund.
I've since read quite a bit of reviews online and this is a recurring issue. Untrustworthy website with clearly deceptive policies. Do not recommend, stay away if you're worried about any sort of return, cancellation, or refund requests. I will no longer buy from Food52.

Found Food52 in a Facebook ad
Found Food52 in a Facebook ad. Poor customer service is an understatement. Outsourcing your CS to the Philippines is great, by and large, but not giving them true insight into inventory, delivery status, etc., hamstrings them and makes them and your own company look like one giant scam. This is the problem with Food52. I ordered an item that listed an expected delivery date. One day before that date I reached out (email only) and was responded to within a short time. All the guy did is recapitulate the delivery date, say it was shipping that very day and that I would be notified within 3-5 business days with a tracking number. Since the delivery was the next day and none of that happened in advance, I inquired again but this time received no response. Ghosted. Just for giggles, I checked the item on their site and it's now out of stock.
No one needs this kind of BS. I always pay unknown/untested sellers with PayPal for just this reason. The charges were reversed, but what a hassle.

BUYER BEWARE!! Purchased and received a very expensive Le Creuset at the end of Oct and had it as a Xmas gift for a family member. When she opened it the item was damaged. I did not ask for a refund just a replacement. This company refused to replace it! Waste of money and poor response from Company.
