Unique & Exclusive records
I have every membership going - including the Military specialist ones. But I have found records on Forces War Records that do not exist anywhere else!

Forces War Records has many exclusive collections.
Very poor service
I paid a deposit for specific research. I had to chase every step of the way. I was eventually told that the researcher allocated to me was no longer working for the company. The company would not assist with expediting the work which had been left hanging for months. Very poor communication and even poorer service. The company should check that its researchers are doing the work allocated; and keep the clients updated; if a researcher "disappears" as here the company should immediately tell the client and offer a new researcher: not leave the client to chase to find out that nothing has been done. I have cancelled my subscription

Be Aware!
Just because a name appears on the list when you search this site, there may not be any further information available after you have paid.
This happened to me so I complained and got an obviously well rehearsed response about the terms and conditions.
To be fair they have now refunded my subscription, and were very quick to respond.
I don't think these people mean to rip you off, but it can seem like it!

Very difficult to end membership and payment
When I attempted to end my membership the process for doing so was muddled and very difficult to execute. Since many of your members will be elderly and unable to make their way through, this is at least thoughtless and at worst deliberate.

Not really very helpful and only very basic
I have tried researching 8 different family members from the Boer war to ww2 and other than the basic information and service numbers I already had it has provided no other information. I'm glad I only signed up for a month!

I have contacted you via Trust Pilot for your account details (we have more than one registered member with the name you have used on this review) to ensure that your subscription has been stopped as you require.
Not very useful for researching WW2 records.
Made the mistake of signing up for the year, only to then discover that none of my military relatives are on the site. Only then did I discover the comment on the website that states that most of the records for WW2 have still not been released and therefore aren’t available anywhere. Would have been good to have that information before I signed up. Feel somewhat ripped off now.

We do hold over 7 million World War Two records from various sources. These are listed at the following link https://www.forces-war-records.co.uk/ww2-records. Once you have searched for a name you can filter the results by Service Period to narrow them down to WW2 results. We can also assist you to narrow down the results, please contact us via your account. However, you are correct that the full Service Records for WW2 are still held by the MOD as they are Restricted.
Unfortunately we are unable to identify your account from the name provided on this review and we do not like to leave our customers dissatisfied. Please contact us again via your account so we can resolve your issues and adjust your subscription period for you.

No content, no records, no refund
This site is a scam, you can’t see the information before you pay and they have no real content to share after you paid,
I searched for a name, they found the name, the said I needed to pay before they shared the additional content, there was no content, just the name and service number that I had supplied.
Utter bandits and I’m sure that any positive review will be fake.
