If you're too tight fisted to join a paid dating site you're bound to encounter the dregs, people who'er just there for a bit of fun, just to see what mischief they can make.
I've not had too many problems, if you don't like somebody just BLOCK them!

One of the worst dating sites out there with a very bad layout and some very questionable members. To cut a long story short we deserve better.

Not very good. Too long to approve profile. I got a confirm my subscription email but not a confirm my email which is odd. So I'm just awaiting approval, there is no way to contact them to ask them to send me a confirmation email. Also most of the people on that site are in a relationship. Watch out for zakjones. He's a cat Fisher.

A very stupid site i only joined a few days ago i put in my post code Midlands UK! Then i got an email from a Dan Winchester telling me my account was suspended, surprised at this i enquired as to why! The reply was that only people from the UK was allowed to join! I told him to take a look at my profile he would see i was from the UK! I received another e-mail asking me for information i already put on my profile! I just could not be bothered with the whole attitude of the responses So i told him to close the account and forget it. The site itself is rubbish pages hard to negotiate and very unattractive spinsters i would not be interested in

Can't even join as all Glasgow postcodes rejected.Even Nearby health centre and train stations postcodes rejected.Impossible to join because of it.

Its about time on-line dating sites were regulated, and under scrutiny, as there appears to be no such legislation and this company, known as Freedating seems to operate, in my experience, in a totally unacceptable manner.

I only joined a few days back, for a few days, and what follows is my personal experience. I created a dedicated email address for this site, as I was unsure of who the owners were, and how they managed messages and members. Lucky I did! Within a day or so I was receiving spam, and spam for sexual sites! I thought I had joined a 'dating site', but when emails began to arrive from, 'Claudia' and 'Ebony' and 'Joy' I realised my email address, only used for Freedating.co.uk, had been passed or sold to other sites! Next, when I was messaging, I wanted to chat to a person who did not have a photo on the site. The reason? Too many sexually explicit messages and content. So, trying to swap contact details, suddenly my account froze and there was no reason, no contact from the site and no warnings at all. I logged out and logged back in, and it was still frozen. Then I logged in 12 hours later and ''Account Suspended''! Its obvious that this site is monitored, and all my message were being read! This should be stated in the sign-up agreement, as people, wrongly, believe messages are encrypted. And what really annoys me, is I was barred for just exchanging an email address, to chat and meet someone, but the site obviously interferes with dates, to keep members with them, to bolster numbers, to satisfy themselves! There can be not other reason and how on earth can people safely meet, if they are not allowed to swap phone numbers or email addresses etc? Yet, this site allows the sexual pests who approach members, and eaves drops and then bar decent individuals, because they want to leave the site and actually DATE, but not before 'dealing' in sign-up email addresses to pass on or sell to other dodgy sites!
