I was seduced by The Fish Society and moved my custom to them...(Very bad move...appalling customer service from Fish Society.) My phone call to Fresh fish daily was answered by a delightful gent who answered my questions in a calm n encouraging manner. My journey to the dark side is over...it is Fresh Fish daily for me from now on!

Have just received a box of various fish. Amazingly good selection arrived overnight before 9 am. I previously ordered undyed haddock and it was so delicious I then ordered a box with 10% off. Fantastic company, product well backed and arrived chilled not frozen and a big thank you to Craig who has now packed 2 orders for me, thanks from Somerset.

Finding good quality fish seems to get harder and harder so discovering this company is a joy. It's also so helpful that fillets for example have a choice of sizes and that the fish is individually vacuum packed so can easily go straight into the freezer. My 3 favorite fish from here are 1) whole sea bream which are really big and meaty and have already been gutted, descaled with fins removed. For these I usually season the skin then dust with flour and shallow fry briefly to golden the skin. Then put in a preheated oven with a little of the frying oil at around 200C for 15+ minutes. Served with mediterranean roasted veg. 2) Peat smoked haddock, the best I've ever had with a lovely delicate flavour. For these I serve them on spring onion mash potatoes ( bunch of spring onion soften in butter and added to mash + 2 soft poached eggs on top, wonderful. 3) Hake, severed with a herb and lemon crust on top. The fish will cost a little more than from supermarkets for example but polystyrene boxes and cold packs will have been factored in and delivery is free over £40. Most importantly the quality of the fish is far superior to elsewhere. I for one am happy to pay for quality. Sent fish to my niece as an Xmas present, she is absolutely thrilled and will be having the Sea bream as as special family New Years dinner. So thank you
