Impressive how something this expensive can feel so cheaply made. You’d expect basic quality at the very least, but this sofa feels flimsy, uncomfortable, and poorly constructed. Definitely not what you’d expect for the price. A complete disappointment.

I bought a Portland corner settee, and I have to be honest — the construction is very poor and weak. The sides of the base are made from 12mm chipboard, and the base itself is "sprung" with cheap webbing (not metal springs of any type). The advert states “good strong quality, UK built,” which is a big understatement....I could of got it half the price , now knowing its a cheap build, from other online sellers.

This sofa is not going to last two minutes — you will fall through the bottom of it and get deep sags. The cushions are very firm at the moment, as they have to be, but the sofa is also very low to get off. The feet do not match either — some are black plastic and some are chrome.

The upholstery itself is OK, but the overall construction is very poor and cheap. It feels like it has been made to fit through doorways rather than for comfort.

Overall, I am disappointed. This has now become a common theme of furniture that looks nice but is poorly made. I will be replacing the legs to raise the sofa higher... until I need to replace the base webbing with springs, I will be using beach sofa slats as supports between the base cushions — all at additional cost.

Buying products online has become a joke. The colour was not a good match to the photos, but I am not too fussed about that. Would I buy again? Absolutely NO. I am not happy with the poor construction and how low it is. Once the base webbing starts stretching, I will be sitting on the floor.

Sofa was delivered with 2 of the feet broken. Only point of contact was phone number that contacted me to arrange delivery, he told me he would post 2 new feet out. 3 weeks later still havn't come and blanking messages. I'd stay away and go to a more reputable company. Or just any company with some form of after care.

Ordered my sofa on the 11th Dec it got delivered on the 18th Dec what a great service especially for this time of year

They arrived exactly when the said they would. I received a call letting me know that they were on their way, 30 minutes prior. In addition, they were efficient and we now have a much needed sofa as a family of 5!

Really pleased with the sofas and service received. Just 10 days from order to delivery for two sofas which were non standard size - very impressed as other companies were quoting 10-12 weeks! The sofas look good and are comfortable, just hoping they last ok as the price was very competitive. Delivered on time and exactly as expected, so overall an excellent service and highly recommended.
