FutureHeat are unprofessional

FutureHeat use cowboys, failed to commision the system properly which left the ASHP unsuppoted at one end. Tried to avoid any responsibility for adding the correct anmount of Glycol, insinuated I was a fool who was causing the sysyem to shut down when it only 6c and then claimed that the MCS Registered Engineer who serviced the system and found there was hardly any antifreeze in the system - was a fraud
After complaining to MCS, NAPIT investigated and suspended FutureHeats accreditation...suddenly they want "to help"
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID - BTW, it was UKEM who subcontracted the job to them

A terrible company out for themselves (and easy grant money)

We did not choose FutureHeat, they were sub-contractors for a council run grant installation. No one spending their own money should ever consider this appalling company. Nothing they did was competent, every part of their process required supervision and correction. Design, planning, attendance, delivery, installation and repairs (many) of the wet heating, heat pump and solar were handled badly by HQ staff, field staff and unattended sub-sub-sub-sub contractors (with the honourable exception of some sub-contracted electrical work where the independent staff were honest).

FutureHeat were sub-contracted by PHS/0800 repair who were rude, disinterested, obstructive and had set up their contract to avoid any accountability. Another company to avoid totally.

This case has been taken to TrustMark, MCS, HIES, RECC and NAPIT to pursue repair of the roof damage left by 2 attempts at solar installation. All these bodies are weak and slow. NAPIT ruled it should be repaired but FutileHeat have stalled for 6 months trying to avoid obeying the ruling. (As of Jan '26)

They don't reply. They don't attend. They don't understand what they are doing. They use the cheapest contractors and don't care about their standard of work. If you have to deal with them keep a photo record of their mistakes and damage as they will try to dispute everything. They will still dispute everything but will not have evidence to refute yours when you are dealing with regulator complaint procedures.

Shocking aftercare

Shocking aftercare. Left with a faulty system, no one bothers to answer phone calls or emails, told to do repairs myself because they were too far away!! Avoid this lot and dont get left in a situation where no one now wants to touch your system because it was installed wrongly!

No technical support, no repair team

The installation team were great.
HOWEVER the technical support after installation is appalling.
I contacted them months ago about a leaky radiator and no one has contacted me to arrange a visit. The inverter for the solar panels they I stalled stopped working over a week ago and I’ve been calling continually to get an engineer to find and see what the issue is, and no one has contacted me to arrange a visit.

Worker came out his way

I had an issue Friday night with the pressure did it myself but failed it also made a strange noise. So I message Lee asking for help. He came out his way as he was shopping and helped over the phone but as soon as he realised the problem I was having he had pretty much clicked on that the pipe had gone outside. As it was late at night and we had all had baths etc he came straight away the next day and fixed the problem. It was just so nice of him to do all of of this in his own time and he’s so just a lovely lad. You really have some good people on the team and it’s definitely what I call brilliant customer service!

Annual sevice

I needed a service on my ASHP and heating system so arranged for future heat to send someone. Lee came, he was extremely helpful, courteous, knowledgeable and couldn't have been more accommodating. An asset to the company, thank you Lee.

Complain to MCS

If you have problems that are down to installer errors or ommissions, write to them with offficial complaint - if they jerk you around, just say that after 14 days of you complaining to them, you will complain to MCS...Micro Generation Certification Scheme - look it up - without MCS accreditation they will not regarded as competent and that will hurt their revenue......

My system was fitted in May 2024

My system was fitted in May 2024, it is still faulty and costing 100 pounds a week to run. There is clearly a fault and Future Heat have still not correct the issue or helped me or refunded the electric over use.
They flooded my bathroom and blamed me, finally they sent someone to repair the ceiling and I have been left with a sagging ceiling. It’s is dangerous. They still , have not sent painters and left me with no insulation in my loft or finished safe bathroom. It’s been 8 months and many bathroom had just been refitted and redecorated 8 weeks before they came to my home.
The emergency plumber they sent, stole 660 pounds and ever came back to do the job. FH have not reimbursed the stolen money and left me with a cold house and huge bills.
I have reported them to Trading Standards but am now reporting them to the Ombusman.
I wish I had kept my old oil system bill Dec 23 89 pounds, bill Dec 24 over 400 pounds.
Do Not /use this company. ECO4 is not ECO if you get a grant make sure they do not use Future Heat.

The 5 star reviews here are fake.

Do not use this Company.
Unprofessional, sub contractors who are disrespectful and very poor workmanship. Left a young family with no services over the coldest week of the year. Didn’t test the system prior to departure and the pipes failed above the ceilings pouring water over the electrics and leaving the house unusable for days.

My kids have chilblains due to cold and I’m being told my heat are working where clearly does not go over 17 degrees and any room. Been waiting over 10 weeks for engineer to come and now being told everything is fine. Such shocking system

Kevin is exceptional but the after care…

Kevin is exceptional but the after care post installation issues are crazy here is the list i had to deal with
1. Unscheduled Visits: Technicians showing up without prior notice, causing disruptions and inconvenience for us.
2. Appointment Rescheduling: Frequent changes to appointment times, requiring us to adjust our work schedules or take multiple days off. This lack of consistency can create frustration, especially when personal time is sacrificed for missed or rescheduled appointments.
3. Excessive Appointments: Seven appointments with different engineers yet the issue did not be getting resolved effectively. Multiple visits without a resolution was a major inconvenience and suggest poor service planning or coordination.

4. Wiring Concerns: Leaving wires exposed or improperly managed raises safety concerns, potentially putting us at risk in our own home with toddler
5. Leak: A leak associated with electrical or plumbing works lead to us wiping water on my wife's birthday dinner night

6. Flow Rate Error: Experiencing flow rate errors twice suggests either poor workmanship or defective equipment.

7. Heating System Malfunction: The heating system not switching off indicates a critical malfunction, which could lead to discomfort, high energy bills, or even damage to the property if left unchecked.

8. Late-Night Appointments: Appointments as late as 10:00 PM could be disruptive to the anyones routine and signal poor planning. This may imply a lack of respect for the client’s time and personal boundaries.

Each of these points highlights problems in service reliability, professionalism, and coordination, all of which would understandably lead to a poor customer experience faced by myself from Future Heat! Don't get the work done from them NOT RECOMMENDED

Absolutely appalling

Absolutely appalling. No empathy, bullyish, unprofessional, awful service, left a disabled child and single Mum and young children with many problems for months, several awful workmen, all subcontracted I believe, our ECO4 install has literally made me ill with the number of problems and lack of professionalism and lack of communication. 6 months of problems and no closer to getting any support.

Company flooded my bathroom and are refusing to give me their insurance details.

This company moved the hot water tank into my loft and 2 days later the water was coming through the ceiling of my new refurbished shower room. ( May 6th) The emergency plumber came out and they had not turned off a valve to the water tank and they had left the water flush pipe from the tank under the loft insulation. So the water found its way through my new spotlight and ceiling. They still have not given me and insurance contact details, my house stinks of damp and they are not responding to requests. I now have a ruined new bathroom and damp in the walls and skirtings. This company are part of a government eco4 scheme and their customer service is shocking. I will now report them to Trading standards and Trust Mark. They must have liability insurance so this is simply shameful. (12th June) Still no insurance details……….
Plus the emergency plumber sent by them from Home Heat took £660 for a new valve and Labour, he clearly saw a single woman and saw cash signs. I have asked him for the money back, as he was clearly a crook and he is refusing to refund my money. I have not seen a valve or had work done. So I now have a ruined bathroom and down 660 pounds. Avoid!!
