A terrible company out for themselves (and easy grant money)
We did not choose FutureHeat, they were sub-contractors for a council run grant installation. No one spending their own money should ever consider this appalling company. Nothing they did was competent, every part of their process required supervision and correction. Design, planning, attendance, delivery, installation and repairs (many) of the wet heating, heat pump and solar were handled badly by HQ staff, field staff and unattended sub-sub-sub-sub contractors (with the honourable exception of some sub-contracted electrical work where the independent staff were honest).
FutureHeat were sub-contracted by PHS/0800 repair who were rude, disinterested, obstructive and had set up their contract to avoid any accountability. Another company to avoid totally.
This case has been taken to TrustMark, MCS, HIES, RECC and NAPIT to pursue repair of the roof damage left by 2 attempts at solar installation. All these bodies are weak and slow. NAPIT ruled it should be repaired but FutileHeat have stalled for 6 months trying to avoid obeying the ruling. (As of Jan '26)
They don't reply. They don't attend. They don't understand what they are doing. They use the cheapest contractors and don't care about their standard of work. If you have to deal with them keep a photo record of their mistakes and damage as they will try to dispute everything. They will still dispute everything but will not have evidence to refute yours when you are dealing with regulator complaint procedures.
