Very poor service and refusal to engage in discussion
I have a composite front door from this company. The finish on the threshold started to come off almost as soon as it arrived. Now, a year in, the finish is coming off the face of the door.
The other thing is that the door has changed so that I can no longer close it gently, the hinges seem to have shifted in some way.
I have since got another composite door for the back of the house, it has an Ultion lock. Future products say that their doors have Ultion locks. Well mine does not, it is a bog standard Yale lock.
All the above is not really my main complaint however. When I visited the factory to talk about this, the following happened.
The receptionist, I think she was called Kelly, was charming, however, the "Technical Director" would not even leave his seat to come and talk to me.
I have given two stars rather than 1 since the installer might be partly responsible but since the Technical Director won't even talk to me it is difficult to be precise about apportioning responsibility. I think that it is likely that at least part of the issue is a quality issue but their "guarantee" seems to be worthless as without the cooperation of the firm in at least trying to address the issue I have nowhere to go.
I will probably have to get a new door which will be an expensive lesson learned in trying to deal with this firm.
