GAIL's Bakery - Altrincham Opiniones 5

I do like Gail’s and really enjoyed their coffee but when one came to my local town and I was refused service because I only had cash I can honestly say I’ve never been to one again. Previously I only went to the one near my sons in London and he usually paid so never realised it was a cash free business.

Had a light lunch at Altrincham Gail’s today. Quiche was nice. Service was poor. One staff on counter, one very flustered staff on tea / coffee (why do they ask for your name when there’s one in front of you ???) A preordered delivery guy arrived and dominated the staff, with 7 people waiting in the queue. Meanwhile 2-3 staff were busy doing something behind the till - not sure what. And this was not unusual. That’s why we mostly use local independents - cheaper, better service, and still good food.

Very nice shop to sit in for a while, especially for coffee when it's not very busy. But the bakery stuff is seriously good. It looks just like any other you would get but the taste and texture get me every time. In a positive way. This is one of the better branches of Gail's with very nice service.

Lovely products but very expensive and staff not with it at all - was asked multiple times ‘what can I get you’ by the same person when I had to repeatedly tell them I’m still looking. There was no queue behind me and she ended up say ‘oh yes you said that’ Whole experience seems the staff are too above it to actually be aware of customers.

Lovely little coffee shop with an amazing selection of cakes, pastries and savouries. Good coffee too.
