GamerTech are NOT Scammers

Several reviewers on here have been critical of Gamer-Tech’s service since Christmas, I to have had to wait a while for my iPod to be fitted with a new battery. I ran my own business for 35 years and I to was sometimes overwhelmed with work which is no bad thing, but can be really stressful for managers and staff alike.

I have just received by iPod back - it was well worth the wait. Now like a new one, all clean and serviced, thanks again to Gamer-Tech and well worth the wait!

Awful service

Awful service!

My initial email was answered in 24hrs and the item collected 48hrs after that. They received it 27/01 and have heard nothing since! Have emailed numerous times, all ignored, called but can never get past number one in the queue. Husband enquired about a repair and again, had a reply not even 24hrs later.

Now considering the 5 hour round trip to retrieve my son’s PS5. Anyone with an autistic child will understand the stress being caused.

Don’t accept new orders if you can’t fulfill the ones you have!!!

On November 01/11/24 they received my sat-nav returned it three weeks later faulty repair same fault was there,I sent it back again and it was not returned to me until the 16/01/25,many phone calls were made with shocking waiting times so long on many occasions that I terminated the calls emails did get replied but no real concern for there appalling service,will not use this company again such bad service,I was told at the beginning I would have my sat-nav repaired and returned within two weeks.

DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE

If I could put down 0 star I would. Absolutely shocking service, liars and thieves. Taken my record player in early November which I paid them to receive, had one call in early December where I was assured this would be dealt with as a matter of urgency and I would receive my item back in time for Christmas. We are now almost in February, I have sent countless emails, made countless calls, never had a response back from them at all. I am now going to York police and trading standards to report them for theft. £200 record player and a £35 inspection fee. What a waste of time and money they arem DONT EVER USE THEM

Had my console since 10th December 2024…

After asking for the PS5 to be returned as repair was taking too long, and for the fee for repair to be refunded it was repaired two days later and sent back. Repair done well and working fine now.

Clearly they have some back log and this needs to be clearly stated on their website to avoid situations like mine and clearly lots of others.

Had my console since 10th December 2024 for a simple HDMI port repair. Still not back on 4th January 2025 despite saying it would take 3-5 working days.

No reply to emails for weeks until 1st Jan when they said would be with me on 3rd Jan.

Still not here, still no reply to emails. They have my £400 console and no contact from them.

AVOID! Customer service is non-existent and they do not repair according to their quoted service levels or provide ‘regular updates’

Sent console in for repair on 3 December and advised 3-5 working days for repair. This time has passed (significantly) and we have made countless attempts to contact the company who are impossible to get hold of. We were lucky to finally get through on 12 December and told they were experiencing delays but were assured it would be back before Christmas. We are now on 22 December and have had zero contact from this company and struggling to get in touch with them. Absolutely ridiculous to quote people a price and timeline for repair but not advise you they are dealing with massive backlogs (as indicated by other recent reviews!). It’s also frustrating to see other reviews of customers who sent their console in at a later date and received it back within 4 days - surely you deal with your repairs in the order they come in???!! We have no idea when, or if, we will ever receive this console back - it is an absolute joke this company are still trading with the state of their reviews recently.

Excellent service

Phoned Gamer tech 13/12/24. Agreed price and DPD collection and return.
Console collected 13/12/24.returned and fixed Xbox series X that had a fractured HTMI port was back in our house 17/12/24! Fab services, cost and all round great experience!!!!!

After my last review I have used my sat nav twice and the charging port which I payed £70 for a replacement one and waited 5 weeks has now came out in my charger it hasn’t even been soldiered to the board just glued in absolute joke this firm avoid at all costs please shop elsewhere !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Becare before you send anything to this company for repair

As other have said,really poor comms.
I sent my item for repair 4/10/24. A tech carried out an inspection of the device 25/10/2024. On 2510/2024 I recieved e-mail from them advising of what needed repair and the costs for the job. On the 28/10/2024 I received an email confirming my authorisation of the work.
Since then nothing from them total silence!
I sent an email on the 22/11/2024 asking for an update.
No response, after a couple of days I telephoned them after a long wait 15 mins in a queue for call to be answered. I was reassured that the email had bee passed on and i should recieve a responce shortly.
Nothing from them 29/11/2024 sent another email asking for an update still nothing. I'm waiting in a queue waiting for my telephone call to be answered while I write this review. I begining to think I have seen the last of my item and this company has some real issues at the moment.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY

I had an issue with my ps4 in which I wanted it resolved quickly. I paid for the same day delivery but as I returned from work I managed to fix the issue myself. The company were kind and cancelled my order and claimed to have processed my refund. However they did not do this. I have rang over and over and emailed over and over with only 1 response saying oh this wasn’t processed and they claimed to have done this again. It has now been nearly 4 weeks.
DO NOT TRUST THIS WEBSITE / COMPANY.

5 star service from start to finish.charlie deserves a pay rise.she is outstanding.goes out of her way to help..very proffessional company.100% trustworthy.constant updates.easy local drop off locations and advice how to wrap and secure the item .then delivered to the door on return.no charge for postage...no queing on phone...quick easy.reliable.and friendly..definately using them in the future.HIGHLY RECCOMEND!!!!!!!!!!!

I took my laptop in for a new battery

I took my laptop in for a new battery. Job was completed after 1 hour. While I was there I mentioned a file that I could not open and asked about a charger lead for my phone. Both issues were resolved at no charge. Girl on reception was friendly polite and very helpful. I have used Gamer Tech a few times now and have never been disappointed.

Sent my device to this company to get repaired , they finally fixed the problem after approx 14 days (staff shortage and illness ) . On return of my device the pitch controller wasn’t working , which it was when I sent it in. Trying to contact the company to find out what my next step is , but they don’t answer the phones , or put you in a queue that you can never get an answer from . Sooooo disappointing

I have used Gamer Tech for a long time

I have used Gamer Tech for a long time, many times throughout the years, and they have been perfect with every job. Their explanations and updates are clear, and they have repaired many things that no one else could. Sometimes, there might be a longer wait, but I understand it’s because they are very busy due to their exceptional ability to fix many different issues. Nowadays, it's really hard to find a company like this. Even if I have to wait longer, I know I can trust them for their honesty and quality work. Thanks again!

Laptop advice

Left my laptop there because it wasn’t turning on, within two hours they had a look at it for free, told me the issue, and quoted me on how much it would be to fix it. Unfortunately I had to leave York a few days later, but they were upfront about the time it would take and have been so so helpful. Many thanks to the team!!
