Bought 12 Lights in 2023 and they never shipped. They took my money and spent it. After months of back-and-forth, they worked out a repayment plan and paid once or twice a month until about 6 months ago, Aug 2025. We had a deal worked out to get some truss to clear the account, but that was a fabricated lie. Now I'm being ghosted, and payments have stopped. Do not send these folks any money

We purchased

We purchased, or shall I say “tried” to purchase, a Yamaha CL5 audio mixer. We sent $26,000 dollars. Over the course of the next two months, we would reach out weekly to get the shipping and tracking info and they kept telling us the seller was just trying to get it “released”. After 2 months of waiting, we asked for the order to be canceled and an immediate refund. They tried multiple times to get us to keep our order open or wait for another mixer to be available. For the next couple weeks I emailed and called daily to get our refund status. Everytime I was either IGNORED by email or told someone would call me back. It was now over 3 and a half months they’ve had our money. I finally got to a rep on the phone who said “we’re really sorry, our company is having cash flow problems and we’ll get you the money as soon as we can”. I told them that was absolutely not acceptable. I got strung along for another month, calling daily, trying to work with our credit card company to recover the funds. I finally had our lawyer email them including the owner of the company to tell them we were going to litigate. Wouldn’t you know, the owner called me and apologized and asked me to “understand they’re a small business just like us and have issues sometimes”. I told him we need money back immediately or were suing . They set up a payment plan to pay us back in 4 installments over the course of 1 month. After 2 months, these payments were finally completed. The owner called me again to ask if we could still do business together …… I can’t even make this shit up. Stay away from this scam company . Stealing from people .

Maybe you will get paid, Perhaps you won't.

Gear source decided to re platform mid sale. They received money from seller but claim they can not pay out to seller (me). It has been a month since Items where sent to buyer and a month and a half since gearsource has had funds from buyer, I have zero funds. Amazing how they can receive funds yet not pay out any due to internal changes.

No payment, no equipment, no response

The selling of equiment went smooth and fast. The contact with gs looked great, shipping hickups were easily and quickly solved.

However due to an unknown error with their payment system i still haven't recieved any form of money.

The email system is god awefull, never recieved a reply witg about 6 forms filled in.

I called during 20+ days multiple times a day without awnser.

1 time their sales rep picked up, talked smooth and boosted my convidence yet again. I recieved an email the payment was due within 48 hours from their finance department. However we are 10 days in yet again and still nothing.

No response through chat, email or phone and no cash to be seen. 4500 euro's roughly.

Either get your payment in advance or think twice about ordering or selling from gearsource.

Avoid! Gear never arrived

This is my second review of this site. I ordered gea from them. Some did arrive, some didn't. At first, it seemed that the rep "Daniel" has solved the problem and is going to resend the missing bits. I believed it, and even wrote a rave review about it here. Alas... I was too trusting. The second shipment never arrived, despite my many emails. So the site is legit (what they did send is real) -- but the service is terrible. I feel cheated. You should avoid!

Don't extend them any Credit!

They owe our company money as far back as 2017. They short paid us on recent orders. They wanted to know everyday if we were going to ship the current order, but didn't make any arrangements to pay up. After 10 days of phone calls and e-mails, they cancelled the order on the customer and told us sorry, but they show our account as paid in full even though we have all the documentation that it isn't. And know they de-activated our account because we put them on COD.
Make sure you get paid in full before shipping anything. And Customer beware, that poor customer waited 10 days for an item that they never received. Customers, pay only after you receive the item.

Can't say enough good things

This was my second order and they have really stepped up there customer service. They responded quickly to any questions I had, in a timely manner. Their delivery time has also greatly improved. I can definitely say that I would recommend Gearsource to my friends.

Don't bother to waste your money.

It's been 3 months since I placed an order. After several back and forth emails, issues with contacting the manufacturer, many apologies, and an offer to buy cheaper quality items, I finally received a tracking number. And, no, they WILL NOT refund your money, even though that's what their website claims. I got an email saying it was delivered but the package never arrived. Money lost. Extremely unhappy with this business.

We still would like to mention that giving any kind of poor experience to our customer is not our practice and we take equal responsibility for the delay. It is not an excuse but our warehouse partner too had to face certain difficulties considering the privacy of business as COVID second wave has hit the country. This delay was more than expected for both of us which is not a usual case. We never disappoint our customer and always try to give them a satisfying experience when things are under our control

We have sent a multiple follow up emails to inform you that the wait will be longer than expected from this warehouse as they were facing a some issues so that we have proposed you other brand as a replacement and we believe it was cheap as compared to the brand you purchased but we were agreed to keep the remaining amount as a store credit but you refused.

After getting out from the bad situation warehouse has shipped your order and it reached to you within just 5 days transit time. We already informed you to confirm the delivery with us on
03/11/2021 but nothing heard from you at that time. After 4 days you are now saying that the delivery was not done. We still request you to contact local post and ask them for the update as we do not have any control on the parcel once they are handed over to the courier. If the local post fails to get your parcel ask them to provide non receipt of the parcel so that we can process your reshipment.

They do provide the product you order, I got everything I ordered. Now is it the real stuff? I don't know I haven't used it yet. But I will come back and let you know if it wasn't real gear. They have good communication skills and let me know everything regarding my order. So far I can say they are legit. I also forgot to mention when I opened two of three gear tabs the aluminum seal was lifted. I'm not sure if it was tampered with or not enough adhesive was put on the seal when being packaged or not and I'm being 100% honest in my review. it took about 27 days to get it from the UK to US. I would recommend them, but like always do your own research.

Update (August 2021): yeah the stuff on that site is legit from what I can tell.

Never order from them again.

I placed an order #22694 that was received on Jan 30, 2021. Although they were good about responding to my emails, they kept saying that they couldn't get in touch with the manufacturer. It is now almost a month later and I have not heard anything. I'm asking for a refund but I highly doubt they'll send me my money back. I lost quite a bit of money to them. I don't wanna believe they're scammers but I wouldn't put too much faith in this company.
