best self help site . i was afraid to work on my genny , but the confidence the vid gave , i tried it &it worked , . found excessive volts at brushes &li-l2 r1-r2 l1-r1 were what vid said , found it to be a bad rotor .thank you guru. now i like to see the vid on replacing the whole head & tools needed

Jane was so helpful giving me ideas as to where to look when my generator would not start . At first, I could not get a spark so I bougfht a new coil only to find it tested worse than the one I took off. I then bought another new coil and sparkplug and got a reallly good spark but the generator would still not start. Jane suggested I pull the wire off the "oil low" sensor to make certain that sensor wasn't the problem, and gave me a source to buy a new one if needed. It was okay. Previously, I had loosened the drain screw on the carb to be certain it had gas, and gasa ran out. This time, however, I pulled the screw all the way out and out came orange solids. After cleaning the carburetor the generator started immediately and ran smoothier than it ever has.
Thanks to Jane for sticking by me while I tried to find my problem.

I needed a new carburetor and related parts to fix a 28 year old PowerMax XP4400 generator and Generator Guru had the parts I needed in stock. Although I didn't need to use it, abundant technical documentation was available on-line, to assist if needed. The parts received were high quality and the exact replacements. Swapping out the old parts was a snap and restored the generator to full functioning.

Absolutely brilliant company had the part I needed. And excellent service.

MANY years ago, I purchased a generator from the UK distributors of the type. It was 'new' but turned out to be over 4 years old and sadly in need of parts the original suppliers seemed rather miffed about supplying.
Generator Guru have, over the years, provided me with all the parts I needed and now, i have a petrol generator that pull starts for the fist time since I bought it.

More recently, I was given an electric start only, diesel generator with the words, "If you can start it, you can have it."

What a disaster it was. Though I farmed the dismantling out to a company with more bench space than I have Generator Guru supplied all the parts, which was a good trick as it turns out that the fitted engine was made from THREE engines, which explains why my generator model doesn't appear on line either...
It took some parts juggling, but we got there.

I do not suffer fools at my age nor do I give praise when not deserved but in this case, I have been impressed enormously.
If Generator Guru can't help you out, I would be very surprised.

Has a problem when trying to order parts on line, no matter how many times I tried the ordering system would time out. Emailed Generator Guru about the problem and eventually was asked to provide a telephone number for them to call and assist me. They did call (from the UK to Australia) and Jane was of great help and my parts were finally ordered and and delivered to me in Australia seven days later. I have no hesitation in recommending Generator Guru for spare parts and the friendly help.

Really helpful people, sorted out my problems and new part dispatched very quickly. With their help I got a Wolf wp3500e genny that hadn't been used for 15 years up and running. This is now my go to place for my penny spares.

I ordered a part from them. i had an issue with the part and contacted them by opening a ticket on their website.

i've been answered fast! they took care of my problem quick after i sent them pictures and informations. So i appreciate the support i recieved and even if there was a compatibility problem, they took care of all this and i ended totally satisfied.

Everybody makes mistakes sometimes. Everybody learn and can improve. so once again, i will never be scared to do some buisness with them on the future.

you can read good or bad comments from people, you will never know the whole story so... Try it by yourself!

Parts are really tough to find where i live. The Generator Guru is the place!!!

I am walking around in a confused daze after getting helpful and responsive assistance and advice from Jane and her team at Generator Guru.
The daze happened because it is increasingly unusual nowadays to get accurate, relevant and genuinely helpful advice from Helplines in general so it is amazing when it happens.
Generator Guru advertises itself as a family run company and appears to keep to old fashioned service values so I am happy to be their customer.

Loved the fact that I could send pictures and ask for advice/help. I was very nervous about screwing this up as I didn't want to spend money on a new generator. The "Guru" team was very quick to respond to my questions and concerns and did so in a super helpful and friendly manner. In the end, my generator is running like its brand NEW again....! While I hope to not need them in the future, they will be only place I will get replacement parts and support from for my generator !

Got an advice how to check my generator, in this case the step motor, just in a few minutes.

ordered and paid for a part on 1/11/25 and still have no idea when I will receive it. When tracking it it says it was picked up by the carrier on 1/13/25 and has been sitting at the carriers warehouse ever since . would like an idea when I should be expecting it by so I can tell the owner of the equipment approximately when he can get it back
