I picked up my order (order reference 160296247) from Tunbridge wells ASDA TN2 3EY.
I got home opened the packaging which looked already opened anyway I thought nothing of it, removed items started putting them together with the lids to notice one was bent so therefore I tried the lid with it as wasn’t sure if it was the design - anyway then the lid did not go on.
Went in the box and came across a returns slip that was someone else’s! So basically someone had returned there item and I was given their return!
Phoned ASDA customer services and spoke with a lady, explained the situation. She advised the only 2 resolutions were - 1) return item and get a full refund and re purchase if wished to do so. 2) A partial refund of £5 and keep the item.
I was understandably frustrated. I expect when ASDA have made a mistake to either arrange a courier to collect it as I had already gone out my way to collect it and it would mean arranging a box to send back / celotape - unnecessary and unfair considering this was ASDA fault. I also cannot believe just £5 would have been offered considering just the pan alone not on any sale is about £15! And especially as this is ASDA fault I am appalled. I explained I would like a full refund and will keep the item due to there errors especially as it would be chucked if it was returned (well not this circumstance anyway as I’ve received someone’s return!). The lady advised the above is all she can do. I asked if I could speak with a manager, she went to see after I asked multiple times, I wouldn’t have to ask multiple times she should have said certainly I will check - not great customer services. Anyway she goes to the manager and says manager is on the phone but has agreed with what she said, firstly as a manager you should not just pass on a message you should accept the request of someone wanting to speak with you and if you are busy call back - poorly managed. I asked for a call back which I shouldn’t have had to and the lady said this will be 24-48H ridiculous.
I then phone what I thought was ASDA Tunbridge wells team to enquire about parking in ASDA to drop this return off as I know a lot of car parks only allow you to come in once and can fine you for coming in twice in the same day (even if not the max of 2 hours). I then was through to customer services again that didn’t have a clue. Again, I’m already stressed regarding the situation to then not be certain of getting a ticket!
Arrived at ASDA Tunbridge wells, explained the situation, managers came down. Managers were appalled and shocked and are writing to the office regarding this as they’ve never had this before and find it awful.
I showed the evidence of the return slip not being mine and this being a return, the manager also noticed the original persons return label had my label put over the top.
He kindly used the machine to create a return label so that I get a refund. He kindly looked to see if there was an alternative I could buy as they can’t provide an exchange due to being ordered online. Unfortunately they had none in stock so I’ve had to re buy.
I am utterly shucked by this situation and I will await your response regarding this matter.
I would like this passed onto managers.

When it was a week later than the expected delivery date I emailed customer service... it's now 2 weeks past the expected delivery date and It still hasn't been resolved. I received no email apologising for the delay/ lack of goods I paid for. Customer service just keep telling me its being investigated!!

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent order (Order no. 160264455).
I ordered a set of three Really Useful Boxes. When the delivery arrived, two out of the three boxes were damaged and unusable. This is extremely frustrating, especially as I needed them urgently for storage purposes.
I also found it very difficult to contact your company. There appears to be no clear contact option on your website. I emailed customer services but have not received any response so far.
I have since noticed that other customers have reported very similar issues, including receiving incomplete or damaged items and being offered inconvenient solutions such as returning everything before a replacement is even processed. This results in unnecessary delays and disruption.
Given the poor communication, lack of timely support, and the condition of the items received, I am very disappointed with the service. I would appreciate a prompt response and a reasonable solution, such as a replacement or refund, without further inconvenience.
Bad customer service and wasteful of my time and their products.
I ordered a set of 3 Really Useful boxes. They arrived with only one lid between them. I couldn't find anyway on the website to contact them. Mannaged to find a number through Google that took me to a call centre with fairly poor English and poor connection, it was hard to hear properly what was being said. They said they cannot send me the lids. Instead they will collect the ones I've been sent and then make another order (but only once they have recieved the other one back) and then it will be another 3-4 days before they can send me another. Meanwhile, I cannot get on with the storage I needed to do before this weekend, unless I go buy some more from somewhere else. Really poor service and I won't be using them again.
Appalling product delivery
Absolutely disgusted with the product I was delivered! I order 4 tier plastic storage unit for my daughters toys & it was delivered covered in bird poo INSIDE the packaging!!! Clearly visible by whoever package the product! Absolutely disgusting!!! Never again will I order from this company! Little was done by customer service, it has been a complete inconvenience ordering online & caused nothing but added stress! Asda you are a disgrace! Do better!

I’ve attempted to raise a formal complaint against Asda George in relation to an order which was placed 10/01/2026 with a delivery date stated as "by 20th January".
I have been tracking this order since it was placed and up until 20/01/2026 the status was "order being prepared". Today 20th January, the final day for delivery, I received a text message to say the order has been delayed. It is fairly obvious that the order took 9 days to prepare for delivery and after checking with the courier i.e. Evri, they do not even have the order yet so still not on its way as the tracking now states.
I contacted Asda on 0330 053 0111 and all they have done is refund the postage cost and told me I would just have to wait for the order to arrive. This is totally unacceptable and definitely not what I would expect from a company like Asda who claim to care about their customers.
I would really like to know why it took 9 days to prepare my order and why, to date, it has still not been shipped and also what Asda are prepared to do about this situation however they obviously do not want to have any reasonable contact with customers as it’s impossible to do so. Shame on you Asda.
Poor C&C store experience
Ordered a matching microwave and kettle for Click & Collect to my local store. On arrival was unsure where to go so queued at kiosk to eventually be told that I needed to use the nearby machine which had Amazon signs plastered all over it. After many attempts at scanning my QR code and waiting a long time, a staff member appeared with my order. He said that the microwave box had been stacked on top of the kettle box which was severely battered. Luckily on inspection it was undamaged. I am giving my 2 stars to the guy who kindly carried the boxes out to my car.

I placed an order with Asda George on 8th January for delivery on 13th. I received an email and text message a couple of days later saying my order was delayed. I had to contact their customer services on 26th January as I still hadn’t received my order or any update information. They refunded my delivery charge which I didn’t ask for, I just wanted my order delivered. I was promised a response by 18th January and if they had lost my order they could refund or reorder, I needed the clothing so asked them to reorder. On 20th January still no order or information. I rang again to be told that my order had been list in transit and that half of my order items were now out of stock. Appalling customer service in both their failure to deliver and failure to communicate!!

Cake stand arrived smashed - no proper packaging and then they gave it to YODEL of all people! They gave me a refund but I wanted the cake stand and I don’t trust them anymore. So I go to do a review on their site and warn others that it’s a waste of time buying anything breakable online from them but they won’t allow any bad reviews of packaging and delivery!? I have spends hundreds with George at Asda over the past couple of years - hundreds - but I won't be spending a penny more!
The following has made me very unhappy;
Their lack of assistance to their customers including failing to answer questions even after you have provided everything they have asked for concerning owed refunds. My biggest gripe is being out of pocket for money that I cannot afford to lose and now their team won't respond to emails!
You have lost a loyal and valuable customer, George at Asda as I won't return. I will spend my hard earned money elsewhere!

This is not the first time I have had items damaged, usually when it is delivered to my door but now I had a text saying sorry your items are damaged. I called the shop and got told they were o their way not damaged. Today I got confirmation they were infact damaged! I am unable to drive right now due to having had an operation so I am now being FORCED to (or rely on a friend). AVOID
My £60 bargain
I decided this year that I would definitely out up a Christmas tree - I'm single and live alone so have never seen the point. I got the most gorgeous pre-lit, flocked 7 ft tree from Asda. It was huge and so beautiful once I had all the ornaments I've collected over the years and the new ones I had to buy to fill the tree that I didn't want to take it down. Can't wait for next year now!

I don’t know what’s worse, their appalling customer service or the incompetence of their chosen delivery company yodel.
Very argumentative and hostile over the phone when you want to speak to a manager. One person tells you different information from the other and makes it known to you that they have other customers to deal with.
I would stay clear of them all together and spend your money elsewhere if you actually want to receive what you pay for.
Refused to refund it
I purchased 4 items and returned 3. I followed the instructions - tick the boxes, include in the package, stick the return label on, take it to store. I went to a store and had to queue in 2 different queues and then they sent me to a machine. The machine didn't read the barcode so I had to enter a code manually. Then over a week later I got an email saying that "Due to future changes, we cannot see the returned items", so I needed to tell them what I returned. I stated that I couldn't remember the items but have ticked it on the packing slip and followed all instructions so they should know. Another week later I phoned and was told I couldn't get a refund unless I had my return receipt (even though at this point they had already emailed me saying that DSV/ Brand In received the parcel but couldn't tell GeorgeAsda what was in it). So now I'm £75 out of pocket.
Terrible process and lost my money it looks like. Plus queued for ages to return it to a person, but had to deal with a machine and a logistics process which is clearly not fit for purpose

My Asda George store is miles away from me and I don't drive. It works out cheaper for me having it delivered than paying numerous bus fares and changing buses to get to the store. I have ordered online on numerous occasions over the years and I like shopping online with your company, But you seriously need to look a bit closer at the way you treat your customers, and improve everything from your customer service, items customers receive, or parts missing, or damaged or broken. Customers pay for their items and expect to receive what they pay for. There is always room for improvement to get to the highest standards of customer care,and you are no way near. If you read these complaints please take note. We keep you in business by either going to your store to buy, or ordering online. It is becoming beyond the joke now. Re-train your customer service team, ditch the couriers Evri & Yodel unless they can care enough to show some sort of change and guarantee that they can run a proper delivery service with proper couriers. My parcel has gone astray again at another address, but where? How many times? I know you offered me a £10 discount which I used to go back on your site and place an order to get the reduction, but what was the point if the courier has left my parcel at another address again, for someone else to have at my expense.

Was given a £10 gift card as an apology for in-store treatment from staff member. Initially left positive review, but on closer inspection if the item that I bought ( hadn't needed to use until now ) one of the three piece kitchenware storage boxes I purchased, has a clasp missing!
Fantastic! I even paid a little extra to have the item delivered instead of having to go back to the store. Just my luck! Rude staff and damaged item!

Terrible delivery service this is the second time my parcel has not been delivered to asda click and collect from george website! Then keep being told they need a status from yodel to say parcel lost before they can process a refund its been 3 days past my delivery date. This has totally put me off ever ordering from george asda again. I won't be using them in future! Reading on here as well all the reviews are bad. Asda george need to listen to customers and change there delivery courier.
