I recently used Get Man and Van for my home move on November 17, 2025, and it was a nightmare from start to finish. Initially, I was quoted £90 per hour for a two-hour move, but the job ended up taking seven hours, and I was charged a total of £650. The final amount was not communicated clearly, and I felt pressured to pay additional fees. The admin staff, especially someone named Ashley, were rude and unprofessional, and they showed no courtesy when it came to damage caused to my belongings. My £300 Sony speaker was scratched, and they offered me a mere £10 compensation. They even suggested I hand it over for repair, which I refused. Overall, the experience was incredibly frustrating, and I deeply regret choosing this company. I strongly advise others to steer clear of Get Man and Van.

They didn’t even give me a chance to pay the additional amount—they simply went ahead and took the money directly from my account without my permission, after storing my card details on their system. This is completely unacceptable and feels like a scam. Please be extremely careful with this company; their practices are dishonest and downright dangerous.

We had an emergency fridge removal on a Sunday (who would guess). Within 2 hours, they arrived with straps, blankets, and the right gear. Super careful in tight hallways. Honestly didn’t expect such professionalism from a man and van service!

Got them for a student move from Golders Green to Brixton. Van was spotless, driver was punctual and genuinely helpful. Even gave me tips on storing things in a small space. Totally worth it!

Truly awful service. Booked a flat move. On the day the i called to check the movers were coming as they were late. Was assured they were on their way. Each time I called after that their arrival moved back by an hour. This happened over 2 days and they never turned up. No apology no help. The manager won't even speak on the phone to me. Terrible company.

Good communication and quick response they also called to clarify details as our move was complicated to 2 locations. The day before I was called to say a van had broken down but they were hoping to get a replacement, which they did and confirmed by calling. Removal people were friendly and polite. Price was reasonable I thought. I would use again if the need arose.

I was interested to read another customer review that mentioned that "the van had broken down". Exactly the same thing happened to me, shortly before the move was due to take place, on a Sunday morning when I had an extra pair of hands booked to assist. It was frustrating to be continually interrupted by the person from Get Man and Van on the telephone who seemed incapable of accepting that, as I had paid the deposit for the service and had entered into a contract with them, it was their responsibility to sort it out irrespective of whether that might eat into their profits. As it was, it was me who had to fork out money to rebook our extra helper for the next morning (thankfully he was available), which is when Get Man an Van "generously" said they could rearrange for us.
The person who turned up the next day was delightful, helpful and flexible and we got the job done in no time. However, I find it tiring (and expensive) that it becomes more and more difficult to access these really good individuals directly, and instead one has to go through parasitic companies that charge a fee for making the whole experience less pleasant and less efficient for everyone. So my advice; if you have to go through a 3rd party organisation to get your tradesperson, don't use this one.

Booked a job about 3 weeks in advance - agreed fee £110, for a slot on a Saturday at 10am.. Paid a deposit - £40. A week later I get an email saying something has come up and they couldn't do the job. I urged them to try harder. They came back to me and said they could do it but it was now £170. Under duress, I agreed - same 10am slot. On the day before the job I got a text asking if they could come at 1:30 instead of 10am. I said not, I had plans and an agreed time and I expected them to stick to it. Mid afternoon I got an email saying the van had broken down and they were coming at 1:30pm. I telephoned to remonstrate but to no avail. During that call the story changed and it was let slip that the breakdown was actually an "emergency" job for somebody else. Utter shysters.

Thank you to the 2 lovely gentlemen that helped us move on Sunday. They we amazing! I had my own little team to help which made the day go super-fast but they were brilliant. Very efficient, on time, no quibbling or moaning! We did the packing and they and my family did the moving of furniture in and out of the vehicle. Even though there were only 2 men they did the job of an army!

Will certainly recommend you guys to others.
