# **Buyer Beware: My Experience with GiftCraftery**
I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience with **GiftCraftery** has been one of the most frustrating online purchases I have ever made.
I ordered what appeared to be a unique, high-quality gift based on the product advertisement and demonstration video. The product looked like a premium, one-of-a-kind item that functioned exactly as shown. Unfortunately, what I received was nothing like what was advertised.
First, the shipping took **more than three weeks**, far longer than I expected.
When the product finally arrived, I was immediately disappointed. The item was made almost entirely of **cheap plastic**, felt poorly constructed, and most importantly, **did not work straight out of the box** as demonstrated in the advertisement. The product shown in the promotional video functioned effortlessly. The product I received did not function at all.
I contacted customer support expecting a straightforward exchange or refund. Instead, I waited **four days** just to receive a response. Rather than acknowledging that the product was defective, they asked me to record and send a video proving it wasn't working.
After submitting the requested video, I waited **another several days** before receiving another response. Instead of offering a replacement or refund, they implied that I had somehow assembled or used the product incorrectly—even though the item was advertised as ready to use and required no special setup.
A few days later, they sent me a video demonstrating an improvised "engineering" technique to manipulate the product into working. That was unacceptable.
I purchased a finished product—not a project.
I should not need to bend parts, manipulate components, or perform mechanical adjustments just to make a brand-new purchase function properly. If a product requires that level of troubleshooting, that information should be clearly disclosed before purchase.
After more than **two months** of back-and-forth emails, delayed responses, and repeated attempts to resolve the issue, GiftCraftery has **still refused to provide a prepaid return shipping label or issue a refund**. Instead, the process has felt like a series of delays and obstacles that appear designed to wear customers down until they simply give up.
As a consumer, I expect three basic things:
* The product should match its advertisement.
* If it arrives defective, the company should stand behind it.
* Customer service should work toward a fair resolution—not prolong the process.
Unfortunately, that was not my experience.
Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend purchasing from GiftCraftery. The product quality was disappointing, customer service was slow and unhelpful, and the company has not resolved my issue despite more than two months of communication.
I encourage anyone considering a purchase to research the company carefully, read customer reviews across multiple platforms, and understand the return and refund policies before placing an order.
