Rude security
Security were, a usual, rude and belligerent. Touched my genitals for no good reason. Ugly.
Ignoring complaints the new normal?
I submitted a complaint on the 9th of January reference: 00017826, despite contacting customer services on a further three occasions, with a variety of promises made, I have yet to receive an answer from the relevant department.
I guess if you ignore complaints, most people will eventually give up, it will however influence where I choose to fly from in the future.
I am please to update this report. Glasgow Airport have now been in touch, not that I am cynical, but I wonder if it was the power of Trustpilot that powered them into action? It only took 3 months for them to respond!

Nearly missed our flight due to the lines but staff were helpful in taking us to the front when our flight was close to boarding
Appalling service for those with disabilties
Appalling service for those with Hidden Disabilities. Despite communicating in writing and by telephone my partner was treated in a most inhumane way by airport staff. I’ve dealt with this directly but write this so other may be aware.
We arrived to a surly woman at the disabilities desk. We were given lanyards but given no direction as to where we were to go and had to ask for an additional service that was already agreed. At security the staff member had no clue about Hidden Disabilities and made our experience worse. The lanyard seemed to be invisible to her – yet we both wore them, prominently.
Between Glasgow Airport and Easy Jet staff we felt abandoned – no-one had bothered to inform us how to return using the Hidden Disabilities service – or even if it existed at our destination. We eventually got the return information we needed from Aena in Malaga and a direct call from Spain to Glasgow Border Force, at Glasgow Airport.
When we submitted our complaint, we were met with a thinly veiled – ‘well other people didn’t complain’ response. I’m extremely concerned that Alzheimer Scotland puts its name to this fiasco.
A service trumpeted as being supportive, informative and discreet – was none of these things. In fact, it made our journey worse and added anxiety that we didn’t need.
Glasgow Airport offers a shabby service. It clearly has no understanding of the impact of such interaction on someone with a Hidden Disability. It’s staff, in general, either have no clue that the service exists, or just don’t care.
Will Glasgow Airport’s owners learn from this situation? Unlikely given the defensive written response we received.
over charged for priority pass
over charged for priority pass, then unable to contact customer services without getting cut off. totally hopeless place.
travel agent booking issue…
In booking via our travel agent (Holiday Inn) for Glasgow airport hotel and car parking, the cost increased twice on the travel agency computer screen. The travel agent then phoned the hotel (trying to book one double room and one twin room with evening meals). The whole thing became a great muddle so we asked the travel agent to just book us another hotel instead.
I hate to think what tourists think…
I hate to think what tourists think when they arrive at Glasgow Airport. The place is outdated, slow queue at passport control, embarrassing advertising throughout and generally run down. I could rant and rant, but I don’t have the stamina for such a long list!

Security member stole £2 off me awful service and was very rude even though I made a genuine mistake. I will never be flying here again will take my business to Edinburgh. I hope you can educate your security staff on how to do there job properly she also emptied my whole bag for no reason!!!
worst signage at the drop off entrance
worst signage at the drop off entrance, arrogant behavior of airport staff.
Awful
Security took an hour & the airport wasn’t even busy. Only a tiny proportion of the security gates were in operation & there wasn’t nearly enough staff working to ensure everyone flowed through efficiently. Went to the Caledonia restaurant for a coffee & pastry, watching out for the gate announcement on my delayed flight. Waitress took ages to take my order as she was more interested in chatting to a colleague & serving people who arrived after me. I explained that I didn’t know how long I had & she helpfully agreed to bring my coffee in a takeaway cup which she (eventually) did. HOWEVER they did not have any lids & the coffee was extremely hot so when I needed to leave, this provision was useless. The waitress seemed to think it would be fine to take a scalding cup of coffee through an airport without a lid - I wonder what other airport staff/customers/small children would have thought of this if they had bumped into me while rushing through an airport. I left the coffee virtually untouched (obviously still got charged - as expected in a place where customer service is non-existent). In summary, don’t go to Glasgow airport unless you have no other option & definitely don’t go to the Caledonia restaurant as there are plenty of other options once you’re there.
Following on from my last review
Following on from my last review, on complaining I received a response from Glasgow Airport and a very helpful lady refunded the phenominal parking charges without fuss

So much better then Edinburgh airport
Simple, easy gateway to the world. So much better then Edinburgh airport
VALET PARKING
Valet parking was totally shambolic. You enter through a barrier into a single lane. Nobody meets you. There is a queue of 8 cars in front. I walk up and speak to an attendant in the key receiving hut who tells me just to leave my car in the queue. By the time I unload my bags, the queue is beyond the barrier and nobody can get in.
Over an hour later I look out from the departure terminal and my car is still parked in the queue with cars still backed up beyond the barrier.
On my return, there is nobody at the key collection desk. When someone finally arrives, he had to rummage through a box to find them. To be fair he found them and the car was present but reversed in which means you have negotiate your bags between cars, move yours forward and then gain access to the boot.
On leaving the car park, the number plate reader didn't work so I had to call assistance.
Overall, my car was parked and I got it back undamaged but the whole process was shambolic. Visit Edinburgh Airport valet parking for an example of a 5star, smooth and well run operation.

Make sure you pay for the lomond lounge…
Make sure you pay for the lomond lounge and fast pass security. Bag drop was busy and took an age to get through. Thankfully we booked the fast security and pretty much got straight through. At the other side everywhere was very busy but it was peak holiday time. We booked the Lomond lounge which was quiet, relaxing and great service was offered by the staff. Would book again every time I flat from Glasgow
Not enough staff in security. If you don't want to miss your flight go at least 4 hours before flight.
I was on a BA flight 07:55am from Glasgow Airport to Gatwick. Internal flights we are told get to airport 2 hours before which I did. I had a hold bag to check in & at this point was told the gate number (little did I know why). I went to departures only to find the queue just to scan your boarding pass to get to security was enormous, staff were making us wait to join the queues to get to the scanning machines. Once through the scan machine the queues were snaking around several times. There were only 3 belts open 1 for priority & 2 for everyone else. Whilst in this queue (This whole bit took 2 hours) my gate number came up. By the time I got through security they started boarding. I now had to run through duty free & the inner part of departures, trying to weave around people browsing, before I got to the gate the final call came up. I just made it to the plane but was totally worked up & having a panic attack, the air hostess made me sit down & drink some fruit juice to settle myself. I think they thought I was having a heart attack as I was so stressed. There were plenty of unmanned belts in security & there is obviously need for more staff. My rating for Glasgow Airport is 1 star. If I could give less I would. I will avoid travelling through Glasgow Airport in future.
Thomson HELLidays
Thomson HELLidays, since rebranded, TUI, (T.errible U.nedicated I.diots) I should have flown with, 05 05 09.
Why else would an abominable company rebrand itself?
Escorted off Glasgow premises by what has since become Police Scuttledlands, PC's ABOMINABLE & ABERANT. This, for having the temerity to disseminate, Drs & Lawyers for responsible medicine literature. Ditto, nurses movement for responsible medicine. From which I have never since flown nor never, ever will with neither TUI, nor Scottish airports.
Arrested but not charged in Elgin for demonstrating about as such.
Summonsed to Aberdeen for having demonstrated about as such at Absurdistan airport. Acquitted.
Yet still no flight nor refund.

'Some actions can never be hidden by a smokescreen for they advertise their stupidity & iniquity in ne🔵n lights' former vivisector, prof Pietro CROCE, toxicologist, author of Vivisection or Science: testing drugs & safeguarding health.
AN anti vivisectionist was yesterday cleared of sending a suspicious package to the boss of a Scottish airport.
Andrew Kirk, 50, was charged with breach of the peace after allegedly sending an alarming letter about vivisection to Aberdeen airport on March 19.
The case at the city's sheriff court was Kirk's first in Scotland, despite facing English courts 39 times. Kirk, of Inverness, said he sent the package to protest the airport's alleged involvement in transporting animals for testing.
He said: "I was exercising my right to free speech. To be charged with such an offence is insane."
