A very special place
I’ve been lucky enough to stay in some incredible hotels around the world, and I don’t say this lightly, Gleneagles really is incredibly special.
What sets it apart isn’t just the quality, which is exceptional across the board, it’s the sheer breadth of what they manage to deliver, and the consistency with which they deliver it. It’s genuinely rare to find a place that caters so seamlessly to such a wide mix of people, families with young children, couples, groups of friends, older guests, everyone feels equally looked after.
The range of activities and experiences is on another level. Whether it’s outdoor pursuits, golf, food, or just switching off and enjoying the setting, there’s something for everyone, and they execute it all brilliantly. Plenty of places get one or two things right, but to get this level of depth and variety, all in one setting, is incredibly unusual. To find it in Scotland, of all places, makes it even more special.
What really stands out, though, is the team. Every interaction feels genuine, considered, and professional without ever being stiff. It’s very clear that the staff are well looked after and properly trained, you can feel it in how they carry themselves and how naturally they engage with guests. That kind of culture doesn’t happen by accident.
We’re regular visitors and will absolutely be back again. I’d recommend it without hesitation, whether you’re travelling from overseas or you’re based locally, it’s one of those places that consistently delivers, and then some.
A real credit to everyone involved.
