Garden room - bad roof installed
I hired Alan from Glenmore Home Maintenance & Carpentry to build a garden room. While the inside of the garden room was finished to a good standard, I have had serious problems with the roof from the beginning.
The roof was built almost flat, with very little or no slope, causing water to pool instead of draining away properly. I also found that some of the measurements were different from those advertised on the providers suppliers website.
When I reported the problems, I was initially told that the supplier had sent the wrong screws. Eventually, Alan told me to “get a solicitor” if I wanted to make a complaint, and communication stopped.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Glenmore Home Maintenance & Carpentry. If you are considering hiring them, I would strongly recommend checking the work carefully before making your final payment.
