I recently completed a 4-day intensive plastering course and had a fantastic experience. The trainer, Rich, was excellent – incredibly knowledgeable, not just about plastering, but about a wide range of related topics too. His passion for the trade and patient teaching style really stood out.

The course was well-structured and hands-on, and while I won’t be giving up the day job anytime soon, I came away with a solid understanding of the basics and a real appreciation for the skill involved. It was also a great atmosphere – a good group of people made the learning even more enjoyable.

Overall, I had a great time learning something new and would definitely recommend this course to anyone looking to pick up some DIY plastering skills or simply try something different.

First off, yes obviously you're not going to be a fully fledged plasterer after 4 days BUT -

What a fantastic course! Overseen by Jack the first weekend we had Andy doing boarding and skimming. Having never picked up a trowel before he was supportive and really helped build up confidence grasping the basics.

The following weekend we had Rich who had all the experience of a long career in the game which was great as it was nice to have new school and old school across the training (hope he doesn't mind me saying that!)

I could have done another few days to be honest.

Only minor criticism was the end was a bit rushed and maybe a bit more organisation for the ripping out and tidying away. It was dusty chaos.

I would recommend the course to anyone!

Mike was a great tutor. Supportive and informative. The course was well structured and enjoyable.

I completed the Level 3 Credit Management course which at first I genuinely thought of dropping out or else I’d fail due to our original tutor not really knowing the course. Once Kelly took over everything changed. She offered me so much support, with not only the course but things going on in my personal life and I will forever be grateful to her. Without Kelly I would not have been able to pass this qualification and be where I am today.

Learnt new things that I want to go away and progress on.

Just finished my level 5 ODM apprenticeship with GLP training.
I would like to thank Vern, Trudi and the rest of the team for their support throughout the course; without their support, I do not believe I would have been able to pass with a distinction. They have been supportive, helpful and always had time for a chat whenever I need advice.

Just finished a facilities management course with these the tutor david was brilliant very kind and helpful did everything they could to help me finished the course and pass even through the difficult times I was having in my personal live at the time I was finding it hard to deal with alwe as all the course work they gave me an alternative way to make this far less stressful for me personally. All I can say is they are an outstanding team and people that work there are brilliant I couldn't fault and part or then. Thanks you for all you have done for me over the past 18 months it's been a pleasure.

It was absolutely amazing! The team made us all feel so welcome and excited to go further and I got the job! I couldn’t be more thankful and more grateful for how amazing the training and the experience was so thank you so much!

Just finished the 4 day plastering course. What a great team, the trainers rich and andy were very helpful with any question asked. I had a great experience if wanting to learn the trade, I would definitely recommend booking this course. Although the trainers make it look easy they are more than helpful if you need a hand or advise on anywork you are doing or are thinking of doing

Just finished the 4 day plastering course over 2 weekends and I’ve got to say I’ve had such a good time! Was really nice to learn a new skill from such knowledgable guys!
Jack kept me up to date with the course checking I knew where it was and making sure I was attending.
Rich & Andy! What a pair! Friendly, compassionate about what they do! You can tell they really love it! No gate keeping of little tips! Heaps of experience! (They made it look so easy) but we’re happy to help at any time!

GLP have been great in providing APM training, especially Kelly Chamberlain who is a first class tutor. Onboarding and welcome was friendly and approachable. Masterclasses were valuable, in both content, delivery and flexibility with dates, which was followed up with great tutor support, advice and encouragement throughout. Although a lot of personal time/sacrifice to complete the course, I feel more equiped with the tools to move onwards and upwards in my role/career. Kelly played a significant part in helping me achieve a Distinction. Highly Recommend GLP and Kelly is an educational legend.

Have just completed the Level 5 Facilities apprenticeship. Was extremely lucky to of had Vern Little as my tutor, incredibly supportive and encouraging all the way through couldn't of asked for more. GLP structure and support also fantastic.

The course was fantastic and Vernon was a huge support from start to finish.
I couldn't recommend GLP enough for everything they have helped me achieve. And I look forward to working with them again in the future on my career advancement.

I was lucky enough to have Kelly as my trainer who played an instrumental role in my CICM apprenticeship journey. Kelly is extremely passionate about her teaching an dedication to her students was evident. Kelly cared about my personal and professional growth and development and was always available to offer support and encouragement. She took the time to get to know me and understand my strength and areas for improvement. Thank you Kelly for being an inspiring mentor and guiding me every step of the way.

When first embarking on the journey of my apprenticeship it had been 10 years since I had last been in education. The ease at which Kelly made us all settle and feel engaged and involved with the course was brilliant. The content was delivered in the right way to land all key points and messages, whilst making sure it was also lighthearted where possible. The tasks set really helped to imbed the information presented and talked through.
The support provided throughout the assessment period, Report and presentation, was great. No query was too much trouble and the feedback to help strive for the additional marks and detail was supportive in helping me work through solutions.

I recently had the pleasure of completing a project management course with GLP. The course itself was structured, comprehensive, and offered real, practical skills that I could immediately apply in my line of work.
What truly made this experience stand out were the incredible tutors who guided me every step of the way— Kelly Chamberlain and maths wizard tutor Trudi Hannon-Homer.
Kelly, my personal tutor, was a true gem. Her approach to teaching was not only professional but also genuinely caring. She took the time to understand my learning style, provided insightful feedback, and was always available to help when I had questions or needed clarification. Kelly's support wasn’t just about helping me pass the course—she helped me grow as a person, gave me confidence for public speaking and accomplish exactly what I needed to be a project manager, ensuring that I really understood the material and how to apply it effectively.
Trudi, my maths (genius) tutor, was equally outstanding. She made complex mathematical concepts (that would be a test for countdown) seem simple and understandable, breaking things down into manageable pieces. Her patience and ability to explain things from multiple angles was invaluable, and it made all the difference when tackling some of the more challenging aspects of the course. Trudi’s assistant on the day of my test was also fully supportive and patient.

Together, Kelly and Trudi made an excellent team, and I feel truly blessed and fortunate to have had their guidance. If you're thinking about taking a course with GLP, I would recommend GLP to others but especially if they were lucky enough to have these two guide you along the journey and I'm confident they’ll do the same for you!
