I sent an old gold chain and pendant to be valued within less than 24 hours. They gave me an offer which was a lot more than I was expecting. the money was in my bank account half an hour later. I can't fault this company. They are very efficient e.g. I sent my precious metals off at around 12.30 pm on Wednesday and received communication via text and email by 11.00 am the next day (Thursday). I found the offer they made me to be very fair for my unworn (for many years), tarnished and some broken, jewellery.
I haven't read other reviews and this review is based solely on my own great experience. So much so I have requested another envelope.

My quote far exceeded my expectation's and payment was swift. I even received an apology saying they had been off for the Easter holiday's. I'm delighted that i chose Gold2Pounds.

Can someone give me the email address for this company? I sent my pandora bracelet with charms and was offered a fiver! Just want it back but saying international call so my phone can't text or call them.

Sent my gold to gold2pounds who advertised under the gold refinery, was offered the equilivent of £1.72 per ounce!! when currently the lowest price ive seen is £8.70 per ounce, dont use them!!

This is not the first time that I have sold broken and unwanted gold jewellery to an online buyer. In the past, I got 'very close' to what my kitchen scales suggested my gold was worth at the then current price from a different company. I therefore have to assume that my scales are ‘reasonably accurate enough’ to provide a close estimate as to what I might expect to be paid for my gold.

Having searched the internet for ‘the best company’, this time around‘Gold2Pounds’ were consistently suggested by various sites as being ‘the highest payers’ and ‘the best customer service.’

I have to be very careful here as ‘Gold2Pounds’ have threatened me with ‘Slander.’ So (as required by review sites anyway) the following are ‘FACTS’ only and of course, I only speak of my own personal experience. As I am a retired Police Officer, it appears that at least in this case, I know a little more about the law than Gold2Pounds as their threats are based on feedback that I have given them via private emails. – Despite the fact my emails only contain ‘FACTS’ and comments that they have chosen to take out of context, nothing in the emails has been in ‘the public domain’ and is between myself and them only. – I have therefore not ‘slandered’ them, yet they have threatened me!

The weight and purity of the gold that I sent to Gold2Pounds was ‘consistently’ estimated as being worth up to £101.66 with seven other companies, the lowest estimate being £82.30. As the suggestion was that Gold2Pounds consistently paid more than others, I sent my gold to them. I quickly got an email offering me £49.61! with the comment," We will process your payment TODAY if you would please reply to this email with your acceptance of our offer."

I replied You’re having a laugh. Kindly send my gold back. I then received a further email increasing the offer to £80.00 with the following explanation, “We have been made aware that a few of the items in the pack have failed acid tests, following this a more senior member of our valuation department has informed us we can make you a new offer of £80.00.” I have also declined that offer and asked again for my gold to be returned.

I always make a point of requesting a ‘read receipt’ and a ‘received receipt’ for emails that I feel are important. As Gold2Pounds do not provide receipts for emails, I made sure that I sent my emails to both of the email addresses that the company uses. I received the following response that I believe is sarcastic and unprofessional and would not have been necessary if they only had the courtesy to agree to the requests for receipts for the emails, - “Thank you for sending the email twice.”

I expressed my disappointment with the offer and my concerns and suspicions as to why the first offer was so low and how they were able to almost double it. Gold2Pounds are the only such company that I have found this time around that will charge £15.00 for a BACS payment that other companies offer free of charge. I expressed my concern that people desperate for cash may have accepted the initial offer and had a further £15.00 deducted for a BACS payment instead of waiting for the free cheque. At this point Gold2Pounds accused me of ‘Slander’ and threatened me with future action stating that they are keeping the emails between us.

I await the return of my gold.
